She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Andrew Jackson Davis in 1993; son Michael Andrew “Little Andy” Davis in 1959; her parents; five brothers and two sisters; and special friend, Cecil Penny.

Ann had a love of music and as a teenager, she played the guitar and sang in the family band, when they performed for dances at many schools in the Stockdale area. Having met Andrew at the “ripe old age” of 11 when he and his family leased the farm across the highway, and after marrying him in 1938, they lived in several south Texas towns where Andrew’s work on MoPac Railroad took them until their final move with MoPAC to Baytown in 1957. Ann began working for Strait Refrigeration in 1960 and continued there until her retirement in 1986. Ann loved to travel and had visited every state in the US, including Hawaii and Alaska, except Maine and North Dakota; and had also traveled to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. She had a “green thumb” and loved working in her yard and greenhouse, surrounding her home in floral beauty. In 1947, Ann gave her heart and life to Jesus Christ, following His teachings the rest of her life. She was very active in her church wherever she lived, and had been a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church since 1957. She was very much a part of her beloved Sunday School Class, the Joy Class, where she was Devotional Chairman for many years, spending many hours preparing her devotions until she was no longer able to attend.
A special thanks to Dr. Louis Hughes and the Family Practice Group of San Jacinto Hospital; to the staff of Baytown Nursing Home, especially, Jerry, Erin, Jane, Shirley, Debra, Phyllis and all the aides; to her roommate, Mary Stinton and dear friend, Marian Thrasher for their loving concern and care during the past two years.
