Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with her son, the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft, officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Tuesday. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange with Rev. Joseph P. Daleo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

His service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6 at First Baptist Church of Vidor, 350 North Main St., under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Bridge City. A gathering of his family and friends will be 5 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the church.

Entombment will follow in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

Orange - Sylvester Roy “S. Roy” Simar, 77, of Orange, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange.
The Celebrant will be the Rev. Joseph P. Daleo, pastor of St. Mary Church, whom S. Roy worked closely with for 12 years.
Con-celebrants will be the Rev. Thomas Phelan, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Orange and the Rev. Neil Arce, pastor of Our Lady of Light Church in Anahuac.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
A wake and rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday and will be led by Deacon Edward Blankenstein, a close childhood friend of Roy’s and Deacon Melvin Payne of St. Mary Church.

Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30 at the Orange First Church of the Nazarene on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
The Rev. K. Ray McDowell will be officiating services.
Joyce will be laid to rest with her family in South Vienna, Ohio.
Visitation will be held at Orange First Church of the Nazarene from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
