Bryan Kelly, 30, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003.
Born in Tupelo, Miss., on Feb. 14, 1973, he was the son of James and Lynda King Kelly.
Bryan was employed by Oak Hills Pest Control, and attended Oak Hills Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Kelly; son, Kevin Aedan Kelly; parents, John T. and Lynda Leeson of Fair Oaks Ranch; grandmother, Jewel Kelly of Chesterville, Miss.; grandfather, Bill King of Diamond Head, Miss.; sisters, Jinnifer Connell of Paducah, Ken., Betsy Kelly of St. Louis, Mo., Stephanie Mann, Dr. Shannon Little and Stacy King; brothers, John Leeson IV and James Leeson; uncle, Morris King.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at the Vaughan Funeral Home with Dennis McDonald officiating. Burial followed in the Boerne Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jesse Vicknair, Chris Gentry, Jay Sexton, James Leeson, John Leeson IV and Morris King.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to the Trust Fund at Frost Bank, 9090 Fair Oaks Ranch Parkway, Fair Oaks Ranch, TX 78015, for Crystal and Aedan.

George Harris
George Warren Harris, Jr., of Boerne, passed away April 16, 2003.
He was born September 14, 1916, the son of Florence Schliek Harris and Col. George Warren Harris.
George was a graduate of Albany High School, N.Y. in 1935 and entered Cornell University. He was initiated into Alpha Sigma Phi in February 1936.
He left Cornell in 1938 and entered Flying School in Tulsa, Okla. His dream was to be a pilot. He entered the U. S. Air Force in 1940 and began an instructor's course at Randolph AFB.
He was sworn in as a 1st lieutenant in April 1942 and promoted to captain in November of that year. He was a B-17 instructor before being assigned as Squadron Commander for the 546 Bomb Squad.
After 19 missions and 20 months overseas, he was promoted to major and holds the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters.
He retired as a lt. colonel. He continued his education and received his BA degree from Gonzaga University. He was operations manager for Whirlpool for a number of years.
He retired and pursued many interests.
He was Justice of the Peace for Kendall County from 1978 through 1982. He loved farming and ranching, was an avid square dancer and served as president of the Boerne Bunch Square Dance Club, as well as being a member of many clubs in San Antonio.
He also belonged to the Kendall Amateur Radio Society as KC5HRP.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Rosenberger, and is survived by Norma Jeanne Harris, his devoted wife of 37 years; son, George Warren Harris III and his wife, Carol, and their three children, Mark Harris, Jennifer Shuford and her husband, Clark, Randal Harris and wife, Angela and their daughter, Madeleine Adele, all of Dallas; two daughters, Jeri Ann Striegel and Lisa Marie Kingsford, both of California. He is also survived by his beloved stepdaughter, Vonda Jeanne Lowe and her husband, James Richard and their two daughters, Natasha Marie and Jeanna Rashele.
The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Erika J. Struble, Maj. and to all the nurses and aides of the Hematology Clinic at Wilford Hall Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Vaughan's Funeral Home of Boerne.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at St Helena's Episcopal Church in Boerne, with Rev. David Read officiating. A private family graveside service will be held in the Boerne Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.

Gene Canavan
Gene Canavan, 62, former San Antonio city councilman and developer of the Dominion, died Friday, Sept. 26. At the time of his death he was CEO of Bradfield/Canavan Insurance Services.
He was raised in Boerne, a 1960 Boerne High School graduate. He and his two brothers, John and Billy Canavan, set many athletic records between 1955 to 1960. Gene received a football scholarship to Rice University and graduated from Trinity University in 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Roslyn, of 41 years; three daughters, Shannan (Canavan) and Byron Sachs, Courtney (Canavan) and Greg Gibson, and Kerri (Canavan) and Case Gatlin; six grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (Canavan) Leeder and Gayle (Bourgeois) Stakes; this brothers, John Canavan, Bill Canavan and Clarence Bourgeois.
Services are Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Leon Springs.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Boerne High School Athletic Scholarship.
Hazel Pauline Moore
June 14, 1915 - October 17, 2003
Hazel Pauline (Phillips) Moore, age 88, passed away Oct. 17, 2003. She was born in Bokchito, Okla., on June 14, 1915.
She married Clyde M. Moore in 1933, and in 1948 they moved to Boerne with their three children.
She worked at Robert's Drug Store for 18 years and then at Ebner's Drug Store for six years.
She finished her sales career at Frost Department Store as one of the top sellers of children's clothing.
She was a great asset to all of those stores because of her ability to make people feel as if she had known them for years when she had actually just met them for the first time.
She loved being helpful in her work and in her famly life. "Grammie," as she was known to most in the 70s because of her license plates on her car (if you could actually get a glimpse of them speeding by), was the epitome of the word grandmother.
She devoted her life to not only her nine grandchildren but also every other child in Boerne that was needy or handicapped.
She was always so generous and caring to anyone who reached out.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her generosity and her vibrant spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde M. Moore; one son, Clyde Elliot Moore; two grandsons, Roy Ross Beagle and Jay Moore; and one great-grandson, Michael Ross Carson.
She is survived by one sister, Christine Glover and her favorite nephew Douglas Glover of Houston; three children, John Wesley (J.W.) Moore, Doris Moore Phillips and son-in-law B.J. Phillips, and Ronald M. Moore Sr.; seven grandchildren, Mike Beagle, Michelle Schueneman and husband Stephen Schueneman, Ronald Moore Jr., Mark Moore, Teri Scribner and husband Robert Scribner, Janeen Quintino, and Jennifer Moore; 11 great-grandchildren, Michael, Steven and Bryan Moore, Megan Dreibrodt, Colby Schueneman, Cody and Haley Scribner, and Zakia and Kaelin Quintino; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 at Ebensberger Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003,at Ebensberger Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Boerne Cemetery.

Mary Petmecky Ledlow

Mary Petmecky Ledlow, of Boerne, passed away Oct. 23, 2003 in San Antonio. She was 94 years old. She was born Dec. 11, 1908 in Menard.
Ledlow is survived by her daughters and husbands, Ann and Ronald Tibbett of Waring and Elaine and Jay Jenkins of Emory; son and wife, Forrest Lee, Jr. and Sissy Ledlow of Waring; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and sister, Kitty Patterson of Austin.
Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at St. Boniface Episcopal Church in Comfort with burial in the Boerne Cemetery. Reverend Phillip Stevenson officiated. Pallbearers were Jim Tibbett, Jerry Jenkins, Reide Tibbett, Jacob Jenkins, Jake Ledlow, Dustin Ledlow, Seth Sibley and Jace Jenkins.

Julius "Buddy" Bauer Jr.
September 11, 1926 - October 23, 2003
Julius "Buddy" Bauer Jr., 77, died 8:25 a.m. Thursday Oct. 23, 2003 at Manor Nursing Home in San Antonio.
He was a resident of Floresville and worked as a farmer, rancher and carpenter. Bauer lived most of his life in Atascosa County.
Bauer was born Sept. 11, 1926, in Wilson County to Julius Bauer Sr. and Emma Escher Bauer and attended Hierholzer school.
He married Lillian Huebner Nov. 19, 1949 at First Lutheran Church in Floresville. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of the Order of the Sons of Hermann.
Bauer is survived by his wife of 53 years Lillian Huebner Bauer of Floresville; children, Kenneth Bauer and wife Glenda of Blackhill; Karon Farris and husband Larry of Pleasanton; Judy Doyle and husband Greg of Boerne; Larry Bauer and wife Phyllis of Blackhill; and Donna Oliver and husband Nick of Austin; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Alton "Boots" Bauer of Floresville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bauer is preceded in death by his parents, Julius Bauer Sr. and Emma Escher Bauer; four sisters and four brothers.
A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville, and funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday Oct. 25 at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville. Pastor David Collins of St. John's Lutheran Church in Poth officiated. Music performed was "How Great Thou Art," "On the Wings of a Dove," "In the Garden" and "Daddy's Hands."
Pallbearers were Edmund Bauer, Bill Darby, Justin Soward, Justin Dumond, Brett Schievelbein, Joe Huebner, Nathan Merecka and Richard Bauer. Honorary pallbearers were Franklin Kasper, Harvey Doege, Fabian Mutz, Albert Faktor, Jay Faktor, Carl Paxson, Robert Louis Tiemann and Anton Svoboda.
Place of interment is Floresville City Cemetery, Floresville.

Olivia G. Delgadillo

Olivia G. Delgadillo, age 54, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003.
The daughter of Juan and Concha Sotello Guerrero, she was born on July 31, 1949, in Fredericksburg.
A lifelong resident of Boerne, Olivia was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Boerne Crusader's Club.
Preceded in death by her son, Martin Delgadillo and her husband, Hector Delgadillo, both in 2002, Olivia is survived by daughter, Anna Delgadillo and finance, Andre Kellman; grandchildren, Estevan and Constance; sister, Patricia Martinez; brother, Michael Guerrero; niece, Claudia Martinez; nephew, Joseph Martinez. great-niece and great-nephew, Kayla and Isaac Martinez; and numerous cousins.
The Recitation of the Rosary was held on Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at Vaughan's Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, November 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Father Tony Cummins, Celebrant.
Burial followed at the Boerne Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andre Kellman, Edward Sotello, Ray Ortega, Author Ortega, Chris Sotello, Sam Lozano, Jake Sotello, and Buff Johndro.

Oran Avery Smith, 55, a lifelong resident of Boerne, died Dec. 26, 2003 in Boerne.
Born Feb. 16, 1948 in Boerne, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father Eugene Smith and a grandson, Johnathon Michael Bond.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Darlene Smith of Boerne; a mother, Eugenia Wood of Boerne; daughters, Polly Pond and husband Brian of Boerne, Amy Hicks and husband Beau of Boerne; a son, Avery Smith and wife Erica, of Marquette, Mich.; grandchildren, Christopher Bryant Bond, Dakota Avery Smith, Sara Elizabeth Bond, Justin Michael Smith and Sierra Darlene Smith; a sister, Ivy Lee D'Spain and husband David of Boerne; and brothers Claude (Smitty) Smith and wife Vera of Waring, Jet Smith and wife Dorothy of Bandera and Walton Smith and wife Donna of Harper.
Services were held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Currey Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Avery Smith officiating. Burial followed at Smith Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post 688.

Isla Wood
Isla Wood, age 90, of Boerne, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003. Born in Colorado City, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wayne Justice.
A resident of Boerne since 1997, she had moved from Brownwood, where she was a member of the Church of Christ and Head Coordinator of the Senior Citizen Center. While living in Midland, she had been the Assistant Dietician at the Midland Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by Dr. Murray Wood in 1959, Mrs. Wood is survived by her daughter, Margaret Caudill; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Private graveside services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, in Andrews.

Laverne English Seidel nee Cox, age 71, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went to be with our Lord Dec. 28, 2003.
Born on Oct. 31, 1932, in Vance, she had been a resident of Boerne for 20 years.
Preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Andrew G. English Sr. and former second husband, P. R. Seidel; father, Claude Cox; mother, Grace Adkins; sister, Joan Barnes; and brother, Bobby Cox, Mrs. Seidel is survived by children, Janet Crawford of Uvalde, Andrew G. English, Jr. and his wife, Sue of Roswell, N.M., Retha Shanklin and her husband, Charlie of Boerne, Glenda English of Boerne, and Debra Miller of Boerne; 15 Grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Beard and his wife, Marcie of D'Hannis, and J. F. Adkins and his wife, Teresa of Ozona; sister, and Amanda Maxey of Ft. Worth.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. at Vaughan's Funeral Home, Jim Haynes officiating. A burial service will be held on Jan. 4, 2004, in Ozona, where she will be buried next to her beloved husband, Andrew English Sr.
