Services for Lois Arlene Schwab, 60, of Alba are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Alba, with David Glaze officiating.
Ms. Schwab died Au-gust 2, 2014, in a Quitman hospital.
She was born October 29, 1953, in Cottage Grove, Oregon, to Oscar Vernon and Annie Lois Hudgens Monroe.
She moved to Alba from Pleasant Grove 13 years ago.
She was a homemaker and liked to bowl.
Survivors include her mother of Alba; sons, Glen Schwab, Raymond “Trey” Schwab III and Mark Schwab all of Alba; brother and spouse, Gary and Cindy Monroe of Alba; seven grandchildren, Kourtney, Heather, Chyene, Montana, Carlee, Destin and Jake; and two great-grandchildren, River and Oden.
She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Linda Chase Robinson; and the father of her sons, Raymond Schwab Jr.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
JoAnn Delores Stanley
1940 – 2014
A memorial service for JoAnn Delores Stanley, 73, will be held Tuesday, August 5, at 5:00 p.m. at her house, 1762 RCR 2110 in Emory.
Mrs. Stanley died on July 27, 2014.
She was born August 27, 1940, to George W. Scharringhausen and Irene (Koye/ Scharringhausen) James in Chicago, Illinois.
She married Henry M. Stanley Jr. on April 7, 1961, in Winterhaven, California.
She was a loving mother, an extremely hard worker and a blessing to all.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by brothers, Dennis James and wife Theresa, Gary James and wife Susan, Michael James and wife Donna, all of Arizona, Bob James and wife Myra of Georgia; sister, Darlene Elliott of Arizona; life partner, James Lopez of Emory; son, Henry (Trey) M. Stanley III of Murphy; daughters, Diana Stanley-Fipps, Cathy Parker and husband Jack Adams and Miki Faugh, all of Emory; grandchildren, Kevin Vensel of Denton, Talor Parker, Hanna Faugh and Katelyn Fipps, all of Emory, and Henry (Tyler) M. Stanley IV of Murphy; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and older brother, George Scharringhausen.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or donations of plants and annuals that will be planted, in her memory, in her garden.
Joe Alvis Strebeck
1938 – 2014
A celebration of life for Bro. Joe Alvis Strebeck was held August 2 at Hickory Street Baptist Church in Texarkana.
Rev. Tim Strebeck and Rev. Don Brazile officiated.
Interment followed in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens
Bro. Strebeck died at his home on July 28, 2014.
He was born on August 2, 1938, in Emory.
He began his ministry in 1957 in Alba and continued his service in Quitman, Atlanta, Nash, and Texarkana; Bossier City, Lousiana; and Texarkana, Arkansas.
He attended the Billy Graham School of Evangelism and held a theology degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He retired in 2012 from Springdale Baptist Church in Queen City.
On July 1, 2014, he was honored for his decades of ministry by representatives from the Bowie County and Southwest Arkansas Baptist Associations and Hickory Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Oda Mae Strebeck; daughters, Debbie Whinery and husband Don, Sarah Page and husband Bob, Rebecca Byther and husband Riggs; son, Tim Strebeck and wife Shelby; sisters, Melba Wright and Pat Whitworth; brothers, Bobby Strebeck and William Strebeck; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bro. Strebeck was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Fannie Strebeck; brother, Rex Earl Strebeck; and grandson, Jeremiah David Jones.

Randy Melton Gillard
1949 – 2015
Funeral services for Randy Gillard, 65, formerly of Emory, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory.
Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
Mr. Gillard died on February 4, 2015, in Arlington.
He was born on October 21, 1949, in Dallas to Clarence M. and Joyce June Robertson Gillard.
On February 1, 2006, he married Maria de Lourdes Acosta Perez in Arlington.
Mr. Gillard worked as a long-haul truck driver for Gulf Coast Transport.
He is survived by his wife; son, William Paul Gillard of St. Petersburg, Florida; brother: Garry Gillard and wife Brenda of Mesquite; sisters, Becky Paris and husband Charlie of Point and Kathleen Gillard of Anna.
Mr. Gillard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Gillard and Mark Gillard; sister, Tina Howard; and special brother-in-law, Butch Howard.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
Donna Sue Joles
1953 – 2015
Funeral services for Donna Sue Hullett Joles, 61, of Celeste were held on January 24 at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale.
Mrs. Joles died on January 19, 2015.
She was born on October 15, 1953, to Malcolm and Oleta Hullett.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Robert “Bob” Joles; children, Kelly Ann Gallagher and husband Duane, M. Lance Lusk and wife Wendy; grandchildren, Dane and Dayton Gallagher, Liam and Jake Lusk; brothers, Wayne Hullett, Larry Hullett, Randy Hullett and Steve Hullett; sister, Linda Hullett Kennimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Joles was preceded in death by her parents; and other family members, Jodie Lynn Robbins, Michelle Hullett and Holly Hullett Arrigo.
Maxine Medders
1929 – 2015
Funeral services for Maxine Medders, 85, of Point were held on February 7 at Point Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Ballard officiated.
Interment followed in Clifton Cemetery.
Mrs. Medders died at her home in Point on February 4, 2015.
She was born on July 19, 1929, to Clarence and Mamie Stewart in Monett, Arkansas.
She married Billy Medders in 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Medders loved to cook and work in her garden.
She enjoyed feeding her birds and playing with her cats.
Her greatest joy was her family.
She loved creating a loving home and spending time with family and friends.
Her warm heart and infectious smile will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Johnny Nipper, Ronnie Medders and wife Jean Ann, and Ricky Medders; daughter, Linda Walker and husband George Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Wilkerson, Sandy Houser and husband Richard, and Brenda Stewart; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family, friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Medders was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tommy, James, Wallace and Roy; sisters, Patsy and Amanda; son, David Hardin; and daughter, Carolyn Hardin.
Wilma Ada Wheatley Wade
1932 – 2015
Funeral services for Wilma Ada Wade, 82, of Emory were held on February 7 at Emory United Methodist Church (EUMC).
Interment followed at Smyrna Cemetery.
Mrs. Wade died on February 3, 2015. She was born on March 12, 1932, in Winnsboro to Willie James “Bill” and Edna Arlette Simmons Wheatley and was the third of six children.
Mrs. Wade graduated as Valedictorian from Emory High School and married O.J. Wade in 1952.
She completed her Master’s Degree in Education at East Texas State Teacher’s College, now Texas A&M-Commerce.
She and her husband moved to Dallas where she began a 30-year career as an elementary school teacher in the Dallas ISD.
She retired to Emory in 1984 where she enjoyed life and was active in her community and EUMC.
She was loved by all who knew her.
Mrs. Wade is survived by her husband of Emory; daughter, Suzette Wade Neal and husband Billy of Bedford; son, James Richard Wade and wife Tracy of Long Valley, New Jersey; brother, James Calvin Wheatley of Duncanville; sister, Frances Simes and husband Lloyd of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Allison Elaine Wade, Kristen Wren Wade, Jackson Dean Mapes, Amber Graham and Ashley Neal; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia, Mason, Brycen and Elijah; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Feiner and Patricia Wohlhueter; and brother, Marvin Eugene Wheatley.
