Funeral services for Helen Gertrude Turvey, 99, of Emory were conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel on March 28 with Brother B. J. Teer officiating.
Interment followed at Rest-lawn Mem-orial Park with M.J. Guidry, Brian Hennigan, Brandon Hennigan and Travis Hennigan serving as pallbearers.
Helen died on March 24, 2012. She was born on July 28, 1912, and will be missed by her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Roberta Hennigan and Kathleen Fay Guidry; sons-in-law, George Ray Hennigan and Murrel John Guidry Jr; four grandchildren, Michael Hennigan, Brian Hennigan, Chretien Guidry and Francois Guidry; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Legacy Hospice, 301 Gilmer Street, Suite A, Sulphur Springs, TX, 75482.

Verna Barnett
1912 - 2012
Funeral services for Verna Barnett, 99, of Sulphur Springs were held on April 4 with David Asbil and Wayne Wolfe officiating.
Interment followed at Greenview Cemetery with Eric Barnett Greg Barnett, Justin Frost, Kenny Frost, Jimmy Daugherty and Bobby Jennings serving as pallbearers.
Verna died on April 2, 2012, at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab. She was born in Rains County on April 25, 1912, the daughter of Cecil McLeroy and Mattie (Freeman) McLeroy. She married Willie Barnett in Rains County on October 8, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1983.
She was a homemaker and a member of Daugherty Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Windle Wayne Barnett and wife Glenda “Sissie” of Sulphur Springs, Alvis Ray Barnett and wife Deloris of Nocona; sister, Ludene Johnson of Mabank; brother, Weaver B. McLeroy of Mansfield; grandchildren, Eric Barnett, Greg Barnett, Cindy Frost and Dawn Latour; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six sisters; and two brothers.
Services were under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs.
Hugh Travis Bolton
1937 - 2012
Funeral services for Hugh Travis Bolton of Emory were held April 3 at the Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Bolton died March 31, 2012, in Dallas. He was born July 14, 1937, to Albert and Azelle Bolton in Texarkana.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was an electrician most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Bolton; son, Jeff Bolton and his wife Blaine; two grandchildren, Evan and Rachel Bolton; and brother, Bill R. Bolton.
Allyn Howard
1938 - 2012
Funeral services for Allyn Howard, 73, of Emory were held April 6 at Lake Fork Baptist Church in Alba with Rev. Perry Crisp and Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial was at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home of Texarkana.
Mr. Howard died April 3, 2012. He was born November 20, 1938, in Corsicana. He was retired from the F.A.A., a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife Genie Howard of Emory; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kristie Howard of Rowlett; brother and sister-in-law, John and Jane Howard of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jay Long of Nome; grandchildren, Holly and Hunter of Rowlett; numerous nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Howard.
Diana Johnson
1940 - 2012
A graveside service for Diana Johnson, 72, of Emory was held April 5 at the Emory City Cemetery with Bro. Todd McGahee officiating. Pallbearers were Brent Oldaker, Robert Johnson Jr., Charles Eves, Ronald McGrath Jr., Matthew McGrath and Jacob Cook.
Mrs. Johnson died April 2, 2012. She was born March 11, 1940, in Arcadia, Louisiana, to Charles N. and Laura Griggs Carmichael.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Johnson of Emory; daughters, Linda Carpenter and husband Pat of Sulphur Springs, Carol Johnson of Emory, Tanya Kelly and husband Ray of Mesquite, Debra Williams and husband Terry of Chandler, Carla Cook and husband Jim of Crandall; sons, Robert Johnson and wife Lisa of Greenville, Wesley Johnson and wife Shawntel of Greenville; sister, Roza Mary Gruver and husband Lloyd of Jerico Springs, Missouri; brother, James Carmichael and wife Peggy of Mountain View, Arkansas; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

B. Keith Rabe, Sr
1959 - 2012
A memorial service for B. Keith Rabe Sr., 53, of Point will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wills Point. A private family visitation will be at noon, and an open visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until the time for service.
Keith died on Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Dallas. He was born on January 22, 1959, in Wills Point, the son of Benny and Jonnie Brumit Rabe.
He and Penny Cason Rabe were married in Point on May 9, 1981. He was a graduate of Rains High School and was a retired electrician and a grandaddy babysitter by choice. Keith was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wills Point.
Keith served 14-1/2 years in the Army National Guard. He also served four years in the Seabee’s Naval Reserve, where he met lifelong best friends Richard and Randy Porter. He loved to fish and spent many weekends and nights at dirt track races with Phillip Cason and Larry Northcutt.
He also spent many hours with “Unc” D. J. Rabe, a very special uncle. Being an electrician he donated many hours of service to the community, including the building of the RYSA baseball complex. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and son-in-law. He lovingly devoted all of his spare time to his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Rabe of Point; father, Benny Rabe and wife Barbara of Point; mother- and father-in-law, Leroy and Betty Cason; sons, Brian Keith Rabe Jr. and wife Erin of Roanoke and Benjamin Keith Rabe and wife Lindsay of Point; daughters, Jonnie Elizabeth Rabe Gaddis and husband Jason of Point and Samantha Jane Rabe and husband Tony Jackson; brothers, Randy Rabe and wife Lisa of Klondike and Billy Mark Rabe and wife Kerri of Commerce; 11 grandchildren, Keifer, Ashlyn, Allison, Mason, Raegan, Dylan, Joanna, Kalli, Kyle “Tadpole”, Maggie and K.J.; many adopted children, Jessica Beggs and many others throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jonnie Lou Brumit Rabe; brother, Tommy Doyle Rabe; stepmother, Bernice Rabe; grandparent and granny Mag.
Services are under the direction of Wilson-Orwoski funeral Home.
Peggy Fletcher Swagerty
Funeral services for Peggy Fletcher Swagerty will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory.
Family visitation will be Friday evening.
Mrs. Swagerty died early Tuesday morning, April 10, at her home in Canton.
Jennifer Lynn Sullivan Kowalski

Ms. Kowalski died August 3, 2012, in Saucier. She was born April 14, 1980.
Survivors include her daughter, Angel; son, Jeffery; mother, Donna Frost of Saucier; father, Dwayne Sullivan of Saucier; brother, Dwayne Sullivan Jr. of Saucier; sister, Katrina Frost of Point; grandparents, Charley and Peggy Legate of Point; many aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.
Norma Randolph
1933 - 2012
A graveside service for Norma Randolph, 78, of Royse City will be held at 3:00 on Tuesday, August 21, at the Emory City Cemetery.
A funeral service for Mrs. Randolph was held that morning at the First United Methodist Church of Royse City with Rev. Ann Willet and Rev. David Diller officiating.
Mrs. Randolph died August 17, 2012. She was born October 11, 1933, in Nashville, Arkansas, to E.C. and Eva Compton Reeder, formerly of Emory.
She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church and served as alternate pianist for many years before moving to Royse City. She moved her church membership to First United Methodist Church of Royse City and was an active member of the Silver Sneakers exercise class.
Survivors include her husband, George Randolph of Royse City; sons, Jimmy and Terri Crawford and Pat and Jan Crawford all of Royse City; sister-in-law, Jean Reeder of Nashville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Lori and Nick Beiser of Royse City, Hope Hartless of Rockwall, Ashley Lucas and Samantha Hartless both of Shreveport, Louisiana, Clint and Mellody Crawford and Jeremy and Keri Crawford all of Royse City, Darin and Jessica Crawford of Caddo Mills, and Curt and Amber Crawford of Poetry; and seven great-grandchildren.

James Ronald Renshaw

Funeral services for James Ronald “Ronnie” Renshaw, 63, of Sulphur Springs were held August 18 at Miller Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.
Interment followed at Mil-ler Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Randall Renshaw, James Oler, Jamie Lindsey, Ben Branton, Jack Branton, Adam Gilbert and David Gilbert.
Mr. Renshaw died on August 15, 2012, at East Texas Medical Center in Quitman. He was born on December 19, 1948, in Dallas to James Carroll and Lillie Belle (Davis) Renshaw. He married Carolyn Henderson.
He served in the United States Navy, was a carpenter and worked for Lowe’s. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife, Carolyn; children, Cynthia Kaye Wesley and husband Randy of Rockwall, James Randall Renshaw of Miller Grove, Angelina Ballentine and husband Jesse Don, Kristie Johnson and husband Sam, all of Sulphur Springs; mother, Lillie Belle Renshaw of Miller Grove; sisters, Sherry Gilbert and husband Paul of Mesquite, Phyllis Haywood and husband Ken of Sulphur Springs, Susan C. White of Emory, Lisa Oler and husband Jack of Point; grandchildren, Jamie Lindsey, James Nathan Hardaway, Megan Turman, Jakorian Johnson, Sierra Dawn Ballentine, Ashley Smith Scotty Peebles; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services for Joyce Ann Burns, age 67, of Emory, were held Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Blytheville, Arkansas, at Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home. Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home was in charge of the cremation arrangements.
Joyce was born on August 3, 1945, to Chester Joe and Effie Mae McKnight Freeman.
She married Kelly Wayne Burns in Luxora, Arkansas.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Gaby and husband Douglas of Emory; brother, Donnie Freeman of Emory; grandchildren, Micah Gaby, Nathan Gaby, Magen Gaby, Serina Otis, and Cindy Lovell; great grandchildren, Dylan, Trey, Spencer, Jamal, Jameek, Aryanna, Allyson, Brooklyn, and Cameo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1992; daughter, Lynda Thompson; one grandson, Brandon Thompson; four brothers; and two sisters.
