VERNON LEE PACKER
Vernon Lee Packer, age 57 of Garland, Texas, passed away Jan. 25, 2005.
He was born Feb. 20, 1947, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Vernon Jerriel and Flora (Shipp) Packer.
Mr. Packer served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and was a lifetime truck driver.
He attended First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas.
JOHNNIE ELLEN EDWARDS
Johnnie Ellen Edwards, age 72, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Sept. 17, 2004, at home.
She was born July 23, 1932, in Douglas, Az, to John A. and Myrtle (Short) Reagan.
Mrs. Edwards owned and operated Southwest Distributing Company in Dallas, prior to her retirement.
She was a past member of the Rockwall Newcomers Club and an officer in Rockwall Republican Women's Club.
A loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, she will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Edwards of Rockwall, Texas; daughter, Sherry Reagan and husband John of Richardson, Texas; brother, George Reagan of San Dimas, Calif.; granddaughter, Holly Cromack and husband Rick of Allen, Texas; and great-granddaughter, Becca Cromack of Allen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Robbins in 1988; and brother, Bob Reagan.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Steve Leatherwood officiating.
ARTHUR ALDEN
Arthur Alden, age 86 of Garland, Texas, formerly of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Nov. 30, 2004.
He was born May 5, 1918, in Benton Harbor, Mich, to Ola and Emma (Kingsley) Alden.
Mr. Alden served in the Navy during World War II, and later worked as a carpenter at AMF Company.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the Rowlett Bass Club.
He loved to fish, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter, Lora Alvis of Rockwall, Texas; granddaughters, Sharon Young of Garland, Texas, and Cindy Womack of Wylie, Texas; great-grandson, Gary Alvis of Lucas, Texas; great-granddaughter, Barbara Wilson of Nevada, Texas; nine other great-grandchildren; and close friend, Jeane Collins.
His wife, Louise Alden, parents, and son-in-law, George Alvis preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Chambrel Retirement Community Center, 1245 Colonel St., Garland, Texas, with Chaplain Fran Tynan officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 1615 Stemmons Frwy., Dallas, TX, 75207.
JAMES JENNINGS
James Jennis, age 71 of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Dec. 2, 2004, of congestive heart failure.
He was born July 10, 1933, in Hopkins County, Texas, to Jack and Nora (Morris) Jennings.
James served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall.
James is survived by his wife, Linda Jennings, of Heath, Texas; daughters, Cynthia Sais and husband Sergio and Sharon Jennings; son, Jim Jennings and wife Cindy; step-daughter, Angie Cox and husband Dale; step-son, Stephen Hutchinson; Chad Griggs; sisters, Martha Hartley and Lillie Wilson; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Brad, Amanda, Krystal, Beth, Jamie, Robert, Kyle, Tiffany, and Jordan; and two great grandchildren, Braden and Bailee.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Lake Pointe Church, 701 East I-30, Rockwall, Texas.

ALYSON LARAINE PICKRELL
Alyson Laraine Pickrell, lived for two precious days, before passing away on Jan. 23, 2005.
She was born Jan. 21, 2005, in Rowlett, Texas, to John and Tracey (Hunt) Pickrell.
KEITH L. HOGE
Keith L. Hoge, age 66, a resident of Garland, Texas, for 25 years, passed away Jan. 17, 2005.
He was previously of Wichita, Kan., where he was born Aug. 19, 1938, to Glenn and Velma Hoge.
He served his country in the Navy.
His artistic talent is displayed in works for the: Museum of Arts in Dallas, East Texas Oil Museum, Kilgore Rangerette Museum, and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
