Roland K. Garner
BELTON — Graveside services for Roland K. Garner, 75, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003 in Coushatta, La. at the Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
Mr. Garner died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003 in an area nursing center.
He was born Dec. 26, 1927 in Coushatta, La. to Lloyd and Mamie Garner. A former resident of Livingston he had resided in Temple for the last two years. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served our country until the war ended in 1944. Mr. Garner then began a career as a machinist with Diamond Shamrock Oil Company. He retired from that position after many years of service to the oil and gas industry.
Survivors include two sons, David Garner of Cleveland and Robert Garner of Belton; two daughters, Judy Lawson of Temple and Penny Digby of Morgans Point; a sister, Margaret Johnson of Coushatta, La.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and close relatives and friends.
W.C. HERRICKS
Services for W.C. Herricks, 69, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Darrell Howanitz officiating. Mr. Herricks died Thursday morning in Tyler, Texas.
He was born December 29, 1933 in Hico, Texas to the late Cecil and Estel Herricks. Mr. Herricks worked for Hunt Oil Co. as the Vice President of Brooks Well Service and served as an international oil consultant for Hunt Oil Co. for more than 30 years. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1962 after having served in Germany and the United States. Mr. Herricks was of the Lutheran faith.
Mr. Herricks is survived by his wife, Olene Herricks of Kilgore; son, Joe Herricks of Longview; one granddaughter, Brandi Lynn Herricks of Denver, Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Bradley and Carolyn Herricks of Midland; one nephew, Bobby Don Herricks and family of Midland.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore Friday evening between 5 and 7 p.m.

JAMES ROUNTREE
GARLAND — James M. Rountree, 69, of Gladewater was born September 6, 1933 and passed away March 19, 2003.
He is survived by his sons, James Rountree and wife Jacquie and Paul Rountree; daughters, Diana Malone and husband Dwain, and Joann Gault and husband Greg; sisters, Minnie Pearl Kidson and Jean Marie Malone; brothers, Jerry Thomas Rountree and George Arnold Rountree; niece, Tenna Massey and husband Mark; and Tenna’s son Justin.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall Rountree, Jr. and John Walter Rountree.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Sachse, Texas, located north of Pleasant Valley Road on Merritt Road.
MALCOLM “HOP” HOPKINS
Services for Malcolm “Hop” Hopkins, 81, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2003 at the Church on the Rock in Longview with the Rev. Chuck Warnock officiating. Burial will follow at the Danville Cemetery in Kilgore. Mr. Hopkins died Friday, March 21 in Kilgore.
Mr. Hopkins was born June 17, 1921 in Kilgore to Elizabeth and Lee Hopkins. He worked with Longview Police Department for seven years and retired from Texas Eastman. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Church on the Rock in Longview and a proud Mason. He served in the Army Air Force in WWII.
Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Hopkins of Kilgore; daughter and son-in-law, Leslye and Kenneth Ligon of Kilgore; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Tequila Hopkins of Longview; sister, Lois Northcutt of Kilgore; three grandsons; three great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-4 p.m. in the afternoon.

SHANNON GRAY
Services for Shannon Gray, 49, of Kilgore were 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jarmon Hobbs and Danny Westbrook officiating. Burial followed in the Danville Cemetery. Mr. Gray died Friday, May 2 in Longview after a brief illness.
Pallbearers were Bill Thorton, Joe Jones, Bobby Grimes, Ben Hardin, Bo White, John Jones, Randy Hicks, Tommy Rogers and Tony Eastwood.
He was born Feb. 17, 1954 to Sam and Eula Mae Gray in Longview. Mr. Gray lived in the Kilgore area all of his life. He was a self-employed contract welder, owning and operating Gray’s Welding Service 25 years.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved to ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles with his closest friends, and he was an outdoor person who enjoyed hunting and being on the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Gray of Kilgore; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christina and Caleb Rydbeck of Dallas, and Shahna Gray of Kilgore; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynette and Danny Branch of Sandia; a nephew, Shane Gibson of Kilgore; his faithful companion “Buddy,” and a host of special friends.

WILLIAM M. “BILL” FRAZIER JR.
Funeral services for William M. “Bill” Frazier Jr., 58, of Gladewater will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003 at the Travis Street Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home, with the Revs. Donnie Beebe and Mike Waddle and Mr. B.F. Jones officiating. Interment will be in Noonday Cemetery, Hallsville. Mr. Frazier died Oct. 7, 2003 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Travis Street. Arrangements are with the Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors, Marshall.
Mr. Frazier was born Feb. 5, 1945 in Marshall to William Milton Frazier Sr. and Katheryn Richardson Frazier.
Mr. Frazier was educated in Marshall. He and Tamara Miller were married Sept. 10, 2001 in Liberty City. He was a welder and inspector for Pipeline Construction. He loved music, gardening, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Bill Frazier was a loving father, son, husband, grandfather, brother and friend. Out of heart-felt gratitude unto the Lord for giving Mr. Frazier the strength to be an overcomer in life, his life mission was to help others to be overcomers also. He made himself available to those who found themselves defeated and discouraged. He made sure he was a source of help and encouragement to all who had experienced what he had. He always acknowledged the Lord’s presence in everything good he experienced and depended on God’s power to deal with the temptations of life.
He is survived by his wife, Tamara Frazier of Gladewater; four children, Kathy and husband Leslie Thurston of Kilgore, Kristy McCullough of Overton, William Milton Frazier III of Shreveport, La., and Misty Frazier of Longview; two step-sons, Raymond Jess Miller of San Diego, Calif., and Juston Miller of Gladewater; six grandchildren, Bryan, Brent, Casey, Jimi, Britney and Kara; his mother, Katheryn Frazier of Marshall; two brothers, Michael Stanley Frazier of Marshall and John Alton (Johnny) Frazier of Marshall; and one nephew, Stan Frazier of Pasadena, Md.
