Taylor
Beatrice Roberts Taylor, 95, died Monday, March 17, 2003, in a Three Rivers nursing home following a long illness. She was a retired school teacher with the Three Rivers Independent School District after teaching for 49 years.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Prentice Taylor; and a granddaughter, Linda Taylor Coatney.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Taylor (Antero) Aguirre of Whitsett and D’Ann (Herbert Jr.) Harper and of San Antonio; a brother, James Roberts of Louisiana; two sisters, Rilla Folsom of Luling and Annie Hansen of Bryan; two granddaughters, Kaye Harper Contreras and Leesa (Marwood) Harper Allen; nine step-grandchildren, Lupe Landry and Lynn Dauzat of Louisiana, Margaret Wooley, Antero Aguirre Jr. and Mary Helen Neal, all of Waco, Luis Aguirre of Houston, Juan Aguirre and Bodie Aguirre, both of Austin and Betty Kinney of Arizona; five great-grandchildren, Ashlee Paige and Marlee Brooke Allen and Mike, Daniel and Cristian Contreras; 25 step-great-granchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Chapel in Three Rivers.
A graveside service will be held today (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. in the Luling City Cemetery in Luling.

Dudensing
Annie Dudensing, 91, died Friday, May 2, 2003, in a local nursing home following an extended illness. She was born to Otto and Olga Kretzschmar on June 18, 1911, in Bellville.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Hedrick of George West; two granddaughters, Karen Hedrick of Beeville and Kathy (Doug) Hardy of Three Rivers; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Rivas and Stephanie Rivas, both of Beeville.
Visitation was held Saturday in the Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Graveside funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Hedrick
Robert Lane “Bobby” Hedrick of Corsicana, formerly of George West, 66, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, in Corsicana. He was born in Snomac, Okla., on July 4, 1936, to James Clarence and Lela Anna Lee (Griffith) Hedrick.
Mr. Hedrick was a member of the Church of Christ and Westside Development Center of Corsicana. He was disabled.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a brother, Richard W. (Gloria) Hedrick of George West; two sisters, Lois Underdown of George West and Bonnie Lavon Bass of Maybank; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. The funeral was held at 10 o’clock this morning (Wednesday) at the same location. Burial followed in the George West Cemetery.

Skaines
Martha Virginia “Jean” Skaines, 75, of Corpus Christi, died Sunday, June 29, 2003. She was a retired restaurant manager.
Survivors include her son, Larry Skaines of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Millie Powell of George West, Judi Gallia of Robstown and Sharon Kinney of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters, Glyn Dean Untermeyer and Billie Faye Robison, both of Aransas Pass; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Corpus Christi.
Arrangements were under the direction of Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
Stapleton
Charles “Charlie” William Stapleton, 63, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, following a short illness. He was born to Zeno and Ruth Stapleton on Oct. 24, 1939, in Three Rivers.
Mr. Stapleton was preceded in death by two infant sons, Daniel and Charles Stapleton Jr.; his father, Zeno Stapleton; and his wife, Sue Stapleton.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Stapleton of Three Rivers; a son, Zeno (Armilla) Stapleton of George West; three brothers, Robert (Mopsy) Stapleton of Three Rivers, Ray (Laverne) Stapleton and Johnny (Jeannie) Stapleton, all of Damon; two sisters, Nelda (Joe) Fudge of Pettus and Lucy (Dave) Darling of Three Rivers; five grandchildren, Christine, Cassandra, Caleb, Clarissa and Clayton Stapleton, all of George West; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Thursday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
The funeral was held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Good Hope Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Warren Stapleton, Garlin Stapleton, Monte Stapleton, Keith Stapleton, Steve Stapleton and Bill Gazaway.
Honorary pallbearers were Adam Martinez and Johnny Darling.

Brewer
Betty Jo (Brown) Brewer died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at her residence in Midland.
Mrs. Brewer was born Dec. 16, 1926, to Harley and Virgie Brown in Rochester. She attended school in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School. She attended nursing school at Hendricks Hospital in Abilene in 1952, where she received her LVN license. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ.
Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Brewer Sr. in 1995; two brothers, Hollis Brown and Jarel Brown; her sister, Dorothy Alsobrook; and two grandchildren, Angela Hunn and Justin Clifford.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Ann Fields, Patty Jean Brewer and Vicki Jo Stewart; a son Joe David Brewer Jr.; a brother, Troy (Dora) Brown of Rochester; two sisters, Earlyne (Harold) Hankins of Andrews and Claudine (Don) Jones of Three Rivers; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Friday at Westside Church of Christ with Don Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Terry Britton, Lloyd Joiner, Cliff Goddard, Harry Crawford, Scott Brown, Kerry Jones and Craig Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Irving Jarrett, Hershel Floyd and Wilbur Harkness.

Odom
Byron Odom Sr., 63, of Corpus Christi, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1939, in Three Rivers to Vestal Byron and Mary Bernice (Goynes) Odom. Mr. Odom was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired taxi driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Valter and L.D. Odom; his daughter, Debra Denice Odom; and a grandson, Jimmy Massey.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Odom of Corpus Christi; seven sons, Monte (Charla) Wipple of Jacksboro, Byron (Pamella) Odom Jr. of Austin, Larry (Elizabeth) Odom of Austin, Jon Valter (Lisel) Odom of Frisco, Kevin (Christy) Odom of Hutto, Vestal (Becky) Odom of Columbus and Loid Odom of Corpus Christi; three daughters, Joyce Rochefort of Alabama, Kathy Jo (Will) Robertson of Corpus Christi and Bernice (Robert) Simmons of Dallas; four brothers, Kenneth Lee Odom of Portland, James Rocky Odom of Calallen, William Carie Odom and Thomas Michael Odom, both of Houston; four sisters, Mary Ann McMullin of Corpus Christi, Vesta Bernice Wostal of San Antonio, Theresa Louise Hamilton of Corpus Christi and Margaret Strickland of Willis; 25 grandchildren ; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles, Catholic Church, with the Rev. Morgan Rowsome as celebrant. Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Pall bearers were Mr. Odom’s sons and sons-in-law.

Treviño
Joe Luis Treviño, 62, of Three Rivers, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Mr. Treviño was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Campbellton to Luis and Tomasa (Saldivar) Treviño. He married Otilia Gutierrez on April 29, 1961, in Three Rivers. He was an oilfield worker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Treviño was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Encarnacion Treviño and Camelino Gonzales; and one sister, Tomasita Galvan.
Survivors include his wife, Otilia “Tillie” Treviño of Three Rivers; one son, Danny (Stella) Treviño of Three Rivers; one daughter, Sue (Ray) Saenz of George West; one brother, Lupe Treviño of Bay City; four sisters, Olivia Valadez of Florida, Maria Ramirez of Lubbock, Juanita Navarro of Crosbyton and Jesusa Mendez of Idalou; seven grandchildren, Joe Daniel Treviño, Donna Rae Saenz, K.C. Ray Saenz, Selena Davis, Rebecca Donovan, Joshua Treviño and Brandie Treviño.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers. Rosary will be held this evening (Wednesday) at 7 o’clock at the chapel. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Piotr Gajda officiating. Burial will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
