Royal
Clayson D. Royal, 49, of Three Rivers, died Sunday, June 25, 2006. He was born to Gerald Ralph Royal Sr. and Bernice (Hahn) Royal on May 6, 1957 in Beeville. He married Jamye Williams on Feb. 13, 1981 in George West.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 27, at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers. The funeral service was held this morning (Wednesday) at 10 o’clock at the Three Rivers Church of Christ with Don Jones officiating and Clif Hunter as soloist. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Royal, Glenn Royal, Donnie Zamzow, Kevin Self, Shane Johanson, Greg Likens, Jayson Royal and Ryan Royal.
Mr. Royal was a member of the Three Rivers Church of Christ and a shift supervisor at the Valero Refinery in Three Rivers. He also was a member of the Little League District 29 Umpire Association.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Jamye Royal; two sons, Ryan Royal and Jayson Royal, both of Three Rivers; a daughter, Taylor Royal of Three Rivers; his mother, Bernice Royal Henderson of Beeville; a brother, Gerald Ralph (Judy) Royal Jr. of Refugio; a sister, Robin Royal of Round Rock; and nieces, Jennifer Royal, Michelle Burger and Victoria Howard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Ralph Royal Sr.

George A. von Blucher
George A. von Blucher, Jr. died on Aug. 18, 2006 in Corpus Christi. He was born on March 3,1920 in Waco to George and Rose v. Blucher, Sr. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School, Del Mar College and Texas A& I University. He served in the 124th Signal Corp. during World War II. He was a Charter member of the Corpus Christi Power Squadron, A Captain of a private yacht and a Live Oak County rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose v. Blucher, Sr.; and a sister, Gloria Alexander. He was the great-grandson of Felix and Maria von Blucher. Felix was a major surveyor in the 19th century who laid out many of the communities and ranches in South Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dodie Blucher; sons, Richard (Betsy Schramn) of Arlington, Massachusetts and John (Jane) of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren: Alexander, Jonathan, Sydney, and Isabelle.
Visitation took place at the Cage Mills Funeral Directors Chapel in Corpus Christi from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 20, 2006. The funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 21, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Cage Mills Funeral Directors Chapel and he was laid to rest at the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Corpus Christi. Pallbearers were: John Blucher, Richard Blucher, Bob Clark, Chad Petty, Eddie Shipp and Chris Wood.
Ramirez
Manuel G. Ramirez 81, formerly of George West, died on Thursday, Aug. 24,2006. He was born on Oct. 4, 1924, in Runge to Antonio and Elena Ramirez. He was a self-employed contractor and was known for having a kind and charitable heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Elena Ramirez. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margaret Ramirez, of Leander; four daughters, Guadalupe (Gabriel) Lopez of Houston, Gloria (Jan) Greenhalgh of Houston, Mary Margaret (Mark) Alvarez of Cedar Park and Patsy Ann Ramirez of Richmond; one step-brother ,Rufino Figueroa of Mathis; five grandchildren, Andrew Alaniz, Gabriel Lopez, Jr., Marissa Alvarez, Meagan and Miranda Alavarez; five great grandchildren, Gabriela Alaniz, Drew Alaniz, Gabriel Lopez, Jonathan Lopez and Nicholas Lopez.
A prayer service will be Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel with pastors Alex and Larry Villarreal officiating. Interment will follow in Descanso Eterno no. 2 Cemetery in Mathis.
Copeland
George Thomas (GT) Copeland, 81, of Three Rivers died on Monday, Aug. 28, 2006 in Jourdanton. He was born on July 16, 1925 to G.T. (Tom) Copeland Sr. and Ethel Passmore Copeland. G.T. was a businessman and retired rancher.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ardis Copeland, on May 7, 2002. Survivors include three children, Tommy(Beverly) Copeland of Victoria, Iris (Charlie) Johnston and Patrick (Tammy) Copeland of Three Rivers; one foster son, Carl (Becky) Lewis of Pettus and grandchildren: Travis, Wesley, Hagan Johnston and Lorissa Copeland of Three Rivers. Step-grandchildren Matthew and Logan Muniz of Three Rivers, Lisa (Corby) Walton of Tomball and Lana Johnston of Magnolia. Foster grandsons Jesse and Jarrod Lewis of Pettus.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-7:30 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church and burial will follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Brittain
Jeff William Brittain, Sr., 82, died on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1924, in Corsicana to Jefferson Dewey Brittain and Emma Thompson Brittain. He married Emily Christine McCumber on May 6, 1949 in Sinton. He served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed growing a productive garden and was a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Elaine Franklin of Fowlerton and Katherine Louise Brooks of Odessa; two sons, Thomas Brittain of Bellville and Jeff Brittain of Refugio; two brothers, Marvin Brittain of Crockett and Bill Brittain of Red Oak; four sisters, Sue Nell Wiginton of Casper, Wyo., Odell Bethea of Woodsboro, Thelma Jo Wiginton of Woodsboro and Pearl Balusek of Woodsboro; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the graveside at Gussettville Cemetery.
Funeral Services were Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Gussettville Cemetery in George West and burial services immediately followed.

Huerta
Eustorgia Huerta, 93, died on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at a local nursing home.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1913 in Falfurrias to Transito Garcia and Antonia (Morin) Garcia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include one son, Ismael (Olga) Huerta of Falfurrias; one daughter, Lynda Maples of Three Rivers; one sister, Celia Rodriguez of Falfurrias; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 at Sacred Heart cemetery in Falfurrias.

Rodriguez
Odilia (Lile) Rodriguez, 85, died on Nov. 6, 2006. She was born on August 15, 1921 in Hebronville to Luis Salinas and Juanita Solis Salinas. She married Guadalupe A. Rodriguez on April 5, 1941 in Beeville. She was a retired homemaker and President of Monte Olivo Ministry Inc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three infant children, Ezequiel, Anita and Rafaela Rodriguez.
Survivors include one son, Rev. Esau (Mary) Rodriguez of Bastrop; five daugters, Juanita (Joe) Saenz of Oakville, Mary Rodriguez of Three Rivers, Delia (Carey) Amaro of Three Rivers, Sylvia Rodriguez of Texas City and Mary Anne (Corey) Villarreal of Three Rivers; one brother, Frank Salinas of George West; 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Galloway & Sons Chapel. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Visitation continued on Thursday, Nov. 9 at Monte Olivo Pentecostal Church in the Karon Community at 10 a.m.
A prayer service was held at 6 p.m. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 at Monte Olivo Church. Burial followed at Lebanon Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers was Johnny Saenz, Jorge Saenz, James Saenz, Rodney Rodriguez, Andy Amaro and Ezequiel (Gordo) Amaro. Honorary pallbearers were the great grandsons.

Beights
Albert Gregory Beights, 53, died on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 at his home.
He was born on April 5, 1953 in Portales, NM to Willard Dean and Nora Edith (Chenard) Beights. He served in the US Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one brother, Steve (Rosemary) Beights of Three Rivers, one sister, Thalia (Bill) Holt of Phoenix, AZ and was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
There was a Graveside Service on Monday, Dec. 18. 2006 at 10 a.m. at Simmons City Cemetery in Simmons City.

Kraber
Gudrun “Becky” Kraber, 83, of Normanna died on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006. She was born on Feb. 19, 1923, in Normanna to Gudrun Husvik and Ottar Beck. She married Richard Edward Kraber on May 3, 1944, in Santa Monica, Calif. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She worked as a secretary for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Corporation of Santa Monica, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include two children, Sonja Yvonne Kraber of Normanna and Gary Richard (Nancy) Kraber of Rescue, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kimberly Garza of Fairfield, Calif., and Noelle, Danielle, Monique, Vanessa and Lorena Falcon, all of Rescue, Calif.; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
