Rosebrock
Terrell Oscar Rosebrock, 79, of Three Rivers died Friday June 9, 2006, at a local nursing home. He was born to Oscar Henry and Virgil (Campbell) Rosebrock on Dec. 16, 1926 in Three Rivers. He was a lifelong Live Oak County resident. He married Marilyn Goebel Rosebrock on Aug. 1, 1952. Mr. Rosebrock worked as a gauger for Chass Production and was a rancher for himself all his adult life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Rosebrock, of Three Rivers; and a son, Randal Ray “Pistol” Rosebrock of Three Rivers.
Visitation was held Saturday, June 10, at Roberson Funeral Home.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday June 11, at the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers.
Pallbearers were Terry Stewart, Doug Stewart, Stocky Morgan, Brett Morgan, Luke Goebel and Gregg Goebel.
Interment followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Geffert
Billie Sue Kennemer Geffert died Thursday, June 1, 2006. She was born Jan. 12, 1941 in Glencoe, Okla. Her family moved to Three Rivers, where she was raised and remained in the area for the remainder of her life. She was a 1959 graduate of Three Rivers High School. She married Robert Lee Geffert and raised three daughters and one son on their ranch in the White Creek area. She was a devoted Christian, wife, and mother. She was a charter member of White Creek Baptist Church and taught the children’s Sunday School Class. She was a loving “Nana” to her grandchildren whom she loved to spoil.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert Lee Geffert. Survivors include her children, Robert “Bobby” (Susan) Geffert, Jr. of White Creek, Cathy (Rick) Crossland of Sandia, Tracey (Kevin) Ellison of Tuvelton, N.Y. and Shannon (Lonnie) Bryce of Kerrville; her grandchildren, Amanda Geffert and Ashley Geffert of White Creek, Richard “Richie” Crossland and Amy Crossland of Sandia, Emily Ellison, Kimberly Ellison and Wesley Ellison of Tuvelton, N.Y., and Nolan Bryce, Slade Bryce and Otto Bryce of Kerrville; three sisters, Darlene Bellows of Three Rivers, Delores (Harold) Cunningham of White Creek Community and Wanda (Wallace) Gee of White Creek Community; one brother, Clarence “Buddy” (Becky) Kennemer Jr. of Victoria; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Sunday, June 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
The funeral service was held Monday June 5, at 10 a.m. at White Creek Baptist Church, White Creek Community.
Interment followed at White Creek Cemetery.

Holm
Vera Lea Walters Holm, born on June 24, 1918 in Jackson County, to William Julius Walters and Nannie Kate Walker, died Friday, June 2, 2006 in George West.
After attending Jackson County schools, she married Bertil Quinton “Buck” Holm on April 19, 1940. Together they followed work in the oil patch until they bought a home in George West in 1954. Four children were born to them between 1942 and 1952. After Buck’s death in 1972, Vera worked for Linney Drug Store until her retirement in 1989.
Family was always Vera’s priority. She is survived by 57 descendents and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her children and their families are:
Larry and Shirley Holm of George West and their children Heidi, Romey and William Holm Winstead of Portland; Brooke and Holden Holm of George West; Alandra and Barnard Dodson of Waring and their children Kelly, Forest, Katy and Leslie Byerly of Calallen; Roxanne, Mike, Andra, Alyssa, Andrew, Heather, Lauren Ancy of Burleson; Quinton, Melissa, Luke, Emma, Jacob and Eleanor Dodson of San Antonio; David, Dawn, and Trey Dodson and Christopher Johnson of Skidmore; Randi, Scott, Brendon, Blake, Brodie Brown of Arkansas; Jeremy, Melissa, Brianna and Elijah Byerly of Arkansas; Daniel, Shannon, Nykeala, Malaya and Allyana Dodson of Seattle, Wash.; Sandra and Arthur Edwards of Boerne and their children, Letha, Mike, Shane and Taylor Thompson of George West; Bryan, Amy, Kaylee and Bethany Brysch of George West; and Glynis and Tommy Strause of George West and their children, Seth Strause of Calallen and Renee, Chris, Christopher and Jacob Thomas of Jasper.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Bryan Brysch, Quinton Dodson, Seth Strause and Holden Holm; and her nephews, T. W. Walters, Wesley Pennington and Vince Howard; and friend Bill Freeze. Honorary pallbearers were David Dodson, Daniel Dodson and William Howard.
Visitation was at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West on Saturday, June 3, from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services were at the First Baptist Church in George West at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2006 with Rev. Bruce Irving officiating. Interment followed at George West Cemetery.

Luna
Manuela T. Luna of Charlotte, 84, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Mrs. Luna, a homemaker, was born April 6, 1922 in Frio County. Visitation was held Thursday, May 25, at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.
Survivors include five daughters, Maria Guadalupe Luna of Lubbock, Sally Bermudez of Three Rivers and Carolina Guerrero, Gracie Guerrero and Janie Diaz, all of Charlotte; three sons, Jesse Luna of San Antonio, Jose Luna of Palestine and Richard Luna of San Diego, Calif.; four brothers, Rafael Luna of Charlotte, Nicolas Luna of Poteet, Hilberto Tijerina of Houston and Alejandro Tijerina of San Antonio; four sisters, Senida Rios of Pleasanton, Alicia Salinas of Charlotte, Dora Pesqueda of Fort Worth and Genoveva Gonzales of Alvin; 38 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Luna was preceded in death by her husband, Monico R. Luna Sr.; two sons, Monico Luna Jr. and Joe O. Luna; one daughter, Elizabeth Luna; and two brothers, Juan Tijerina and Miguel Tijerina.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.

Sikes
Terry D. Sikes, 72, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at his residence in Dinero. Mr. Sikes was born March 6, 1934, to James C. and Flois (Pullium) Sikes in Stephenville. He was an oilfield fish and tool operator until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Darrell Sikes, Jim Sikes and George Sikes; and one sister, Nettie Baze; and one stepson, Jay Sikes.
Survivors include his wife, Norma (Butler) Sikes of Dinero; one son, Gary (Cathy) Sikes of Richmond; two daughters, Pam (Matt) Mathis of Alice and Pennie Parker of Swinney Switch; two stepdaughters, Lydia Tate of Odessa and Pam (Clay) Clark of Llano; one sister, Marie (J.R.) Wright of Welty, Okla.; and five grandchildren, Misty Morgan of Beeville, Lesley Hale of Taft, Cristan Cogburn of Andrew, Bryan Young of Richmond and Austin Sikes of Odessa.
Visitation was held Monday, June 5, at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Larry Sikes, Dale Sikes, Ron Sikes, Lee Sikes, Warren Albrecht and Ricky Westmorland.

Saldiva
Senaida “Sene” Gonzales Saldiva, 65, of George West, died on Monday, May 29, 2006.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1940, in Live Oak County to Dominga and Ernesto Gonzales. She married Pedro Saldiva in George West on April 16, 1961. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandfather, Tomas Balderas; grandmother, Bartola Balderas; and one granddaughter, Maggie Guerrero.
Mrs. Saldiva is survived by her husband; her mother; one daughter, Sandra Luera and husband Ruben of George West; two sons, Carlos Saldiva and wife Teresa of George West, and Lee Roy Saldiva and wife Cherokee of Beeville; 10 grandchildren, Peter Luera, Xavier Luera, Nelda Murray, Carminina Luera, Jeremiah and Jonah Guerrero, Karla Saldiva, Cheyenne Saldiva, Dakota Saldiva and Lee Roy Saldiva Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Baby Peter Luera, Mark Anthony Morales, Gavin Luera and Malcolm and Vander Urriate; four sisters, Carmen Casas of Beeville, Juanita Casas of Houston, Rosalinda Vasquez of Vanderbilt and Norma Banda of Victoria; three brothers, Ernesto Gonzales Jr., Juan Gonzales and Ricardo Gonzales, all of George West; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel in George West. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday at St. George Catholic Church, also in George West. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, also at the church, at 2 p.m. with Father Joseph Olikkara officiating. Interment will follow at George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Adam Garza, Arturo Banda Jr., Juan Gonzales Jr., Nick Martinez Jr., Richard Lee Gonzales, Andrew Casas and Juan Casas III.

Caballero
Eloisa De Los Santos Caballero, 83, died Sunday, July 30, 2006. She was born in Runge on July 29, 1923 to Manuel and Rosa Dominguez.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her first husband, Gilbert De Los Santos; three sons, Gilbert “Fide” De Los Santos Jr., Ramon “Moy” De Los Santos and Erasmo “Lamo” De Los Santos; two brothers, Felix Dominguez and Elias Dominguez; and two sisters, Frances Salazar and Mellin Dominguez.
Survivors include three daughters, Dahlia (Joe) Gonzalez, Maria Elena Castanon and Angie (Jesse) Perez; three sons, Armando (Gloria) De Los Santos, Manuel (Herminia) De Los Santos and Rudy (Esmerelda) De Los Santos; a brother, Manuel (Josie) Dominguez; two sisters, Anna Maria Yanez and Ofelia (Benny) Chavez; 33 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi on Thursday, Aug. 3, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. The funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. in the Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Canales officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gilbert Herrera, Arnold James Castanon, Jacob Ray Perez, Gilbert De Los Santos III, Ramon De Los Santos and Armando De Los Santos.
Honorary pallbearers were Jose Gonzalez, Josh Perez, Rudy De Los Santos, Jesse Perez Jr. and Matthew De Los Santos.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery in Corpus Christi.

Repka
Julius Joseph Repka Sr., 75, of Refugio, died Saturday, July 22, 2006. He was a retired welder and a member of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church.
Mr. Repka spent his childhood in Alice where he graduated from William Adams High School in 1947. He joined the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic. He married Mary Joan Repka on Aug. 18, 1951, and the couple moved to Refugio in 1958. Following his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing and dancing, and spent many hours building the Repka family bayhouse and fishing pier in Bayside.
Repka was born Aug. 15, 1930 in Agua Dulce to Lucy and Peter L. Repka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Julie Ann Repka and daughter Joanie Smith; three sisters, Evalyn Eldredge, Aggie Bayus and Louise Bishop; and one grandson, A.J. Repka.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Joan Repka of Refugio; two daughters, Julie Repka of Corpus Christi and Laurie Repka and husband Jim Naylor of Tilden; seven sons and their wives, Pete and Sandy Repka, Tom Repka, Johnny Repka, and James and Donna Repka, all of Refugio, Tim and Pauline Repka of McAllen, Joey and Angie Repka of Portland and Cliff and Lynn Repka of Imperial, Mo.; one sister, Angie Martin of Bakersfield, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited on Tuesday, July 25, at 7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Refugio.
Pallbearers were Pete Repka, Tim Repka, Tom Repka, Joey Repka, Cliff Repka, Johnny Repka and James Repka.
