McMurray
Mary Frances “Frankie” McMurray, 95, of San Antonio, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2005. She was born Oct. 20, 1909, in Oakville to W.E. “Ed” and Annie L. (Waller) McMurry.
Mrs. McMurry graduated from Incarnate Word College with a bachelor of science. She taught school in Three Rivers for seven years. She was a member of Travis Park Methodist Church and the IHS Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association.
Ms. McMurray was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Maurine McMurray.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Oakville Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Butler officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Porter Loring, San Antonio.
McGee
Alma McGee, 87, of George West, died Monday, March 14, 2005. She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Sumner, Lamar County, to John Everett and Fannie Belle (Ward) Keesling. She married Monard McGee on June 13, 1936, in Sumner.
Mrs. McGee was a retired store manager for Comal Cotton in Corpus Christi and a member of the First United Methodist Church in George West.
Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan M. (Edward E.) Rankin of Mathis and Peggy Ann Brooks of Spring; two sons, Jimmie (Bette) McGee of George West and Bobby (Judy) McGee of Corpus Christi; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. The funeral was held at the First United Methodist Church in George West on Friday, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mel Hazelwood officiating. Burial was Friday at 2 p.m. at the Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.
Pallbearers were Allan Rankin, Kenny McGee, Joe McGee, Shane McGee, Jason McGee, David Lytle and Randy Arnott.

McKinney
Patrick Clem McKinney, 52, died Saturday, March 19, 2005. He was born March 24, 1953, in Beeville to Wiley Clem and Barbara (Williams) McKinney. He married Robin Dawson on July 26, 1976, in Refugio. He was retired from Pawlik Supply and was a Methodist.
Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Robin D. McKinney of George West; two sons, Robert Patrick (Kate) McKinney and Allen Wiley (Esmie Soliz) McKinney, all of San Antonio; two brothers, Robert Wiley (Nancy) McKinney of George West and James Michael (Cindy) McKinney of Brownwood; and his mother, Barbara McKinney of George West.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel with the Rev. John Alsbrooks officiating. Burial followed in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.D. Clifton, Floyd Clifton, Lloyd Clifton, Greg Likens, Scooter Elliott and Steven Alaniz. Honorary pallbearers were the graduates of the classes of 1998 and 1999.
Memorial contributions may be made to George West Booster Club or South Live Oak Little League.

Landry
Delores Jean Landry, 68, of Cadiz, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005. Mrs. Landry was born Sept. 16, 1936 in Waco. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Doris (Love) Collier.
Survivors include three daughters, Terry Bailey, of Houston, Cheri (Joey) Brand of George West and Dawn (Greg) Pesek of Calallen; two sons, Rusty (Cheryl) Wier of The Woodlands and Mark Landry of Cadiz; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A private family service was held with the Rev. Pat Traxier officiating and burial was at the George West Cemetery.

McDaniel
Frank H. McDaniel, 76, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005. Mr. McDaniel was born in Lake Charles, La. in 1929 to Cecil and Vivian (Parsley) McDaniel.
He was a Navy veteran who served his country in the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime charter member of the VFW Post 6119 in George West.
Survivors include a son, Lane Fabian of Dallas; and a daughter, Sherrie Fabian of Corona, Calif.
A graveside service with military honors was held today (Wednesday, Aug. 17), at 10 a.m. at the George West Cemetery.

Allen
Donna L. Allen, 67, a resident of Oregon’s Garibaldi community, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at the Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Ore.
Graveside services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Forest View Cemetery in Forest Grove, Ore., with Pastor David J. Whitehead of the Rockaway Community Church officiating. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at the Rockaway Community Church in Rockaway Beach, Ore.
Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 4, 1937, in Butte, Mt., to Wesley Allen and Ann Marie (Grandovic) Jacobs. She was raised and received her early education in the Butte community, until 1947, when she moved with her family to Oregon, settling in the Rockaway community.
She married Robert Lee “Bob” Allen on Oct. 8, 1959, in Tillamook, Ore. Following their marriage they made their home in Tillamook County, having lived in Rockaway, Brighton and Garibaldi. In 1974 they moved to George West, where they resided for five years until returning to Oregon in 1979, settling again in the Garibaldi community. Mr. and Mrs. Allen celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this past October.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and a member of the Rockaway Community Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2144 in Tillamook. She enjoyed bingo, camping and knitting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Ann Jacobs.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Allen of Garibaldi, Ore.; a daughter, Laura Barber and her fiancé, Terry Lane of Bay City, Ore.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Shirley Jacobs of Vancouver, Wash. and Kenneth “Ken” and Sue Jacobs of Oakridge, Ore.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Kenneth Frampton of Rockaway, Ore., Sharon and Dick Epperly and Linda Smith, all of Vancouver, Wash.; three grandchildren, Cheri Gonzalez, Tari Thompson and Jenny Allen; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Nicole and Brittany Marie Allen, Alondra Isabel and Antonio Jiovany Gonzalez and Colin Allen Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hale
Mary Lou Hale, 81, died Monday, July 11, 2005, at her residence in La Pryor.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Batesville, with the Rev. Johnney Whiteaker officiating. Mrs. Hale was cremated.
Mrs. Hale was born in Three Rivers on Feb. 24, 1924.
Survivors include her husband, A.J. Hale of Uvalde; her children, Melvin C. Lee of Dinero, Fay Cox of La Pryor, Annette Snyder of Falls Çity, Lois Simpson of Uvalde, Patricia DeGroff of Uvalde, Gerald Kim Lee of Ingram, Ruby Roberts of Skiatook, Okla., Danny Hale of Camarillo, Calif., Kenneth Hale of Brackettville, Bruce Hale of Rosenberg, Debbie Alderson of Uvalde and Sheryl Pierce of Waco; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ala Hicks and Ruby Payne, both of Three Rivers, Margaret Crisp of New Braunfels and Mary Blackman of Batesville; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Luther Lee; and a daughter, Linda Louella O’Niel.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, Uvalde.
