Barrera
Mary Frances Barrera, 60, died Monday, June 4, 2001, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at the Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father Richard Gonzales officiating.
Burial followed in the Pettus Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernest Rodriguez, Domingo Montez, Pablo Garcia, Albert Constante, Alfonso Garza and Juan Constante and her grandsons, Anthony Barrera III, Johnny Ray Barrera, John Rodriguez, Danny Rodriguez Jr., Alfredo Cuellar Jr., Jason Cuellar and Andrew Treviño.
Mrs. Barrera was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Tuleta to Natividad (Flores) and Jesse Constante. She married Antonio Barrera in August 1957 in Beeville. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1996; a son, Antonio Barrera Jr., in 1986; and a daughter, Christine Barrera, in 1981.
Survivors include four daughters, Sylvia Cuellar, Lupita Rodriguez and husband Danny, Dorie Barrera, all of Beeville, and Mary Jane Treviño and husband Jerry of Austin; two sons, Johnny Joe Barrera and wife Norma of Beeville and Mark Anthony Barrera and wife Angela of Houston; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lois Montez and husband Sid of Beeville, Carmen Rodriguez and husband Andres of Plainview, Martina Salazar of Corpus Christi and Patsy Galvan of Kingsville; and five brothers, Lupe Constante of Pettus, Juan Carrizales of Beeville, Luis Constante of Robstown, Jesse Constante of San Antonio and Joe Constante of Kingsville.

Farris
Arthur Lee Farris, 48, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at his home in Beeville, following a long battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Oak Harbor, Wash., to Arthur and Grace (Wilson) Farris. He had been employed in the oil industry, both in the oil fields and refineries.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of seven years, Cheryl Haley Farris of George West; two stepsons, Jason and Anthony Tetream, both of Port Heron, Mich.; his mother, Grace Farris of Beeville; a brother, George Farris and wife Libby of Austin; three sisters and their husbands, Debbie and Billy Johnson of Shelbie, Miss., Crystal and Marshall Addcock of Beeville and Stella and Dan Agus of San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the George West Cemetery. The Rev. Bevans Welder will officiate.
Ruiz
Silveria “Ama” Reyna De La Garza Ruiz, 88, of George West died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville. She was born March 26, 1913, on the Clegg Ranch in Live Oak County to Hilario and Guillerma (Reyna) De La Garza. She married Jose G. Ruiz in 1929 and was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Gonzales Ruiz, in 1977; a son, Santos Ruiz, in 1968; a great-granddaughter, Jennifer Alaniz, in 1996; and a son-in-law, Esteban Alaniz, in 1997.
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia “Ine” R. (Raul) Garcia of Three Rivers and Delia Ruiz Alaniz and Elodia (Obidio) Chapa, both of George West; three sons, Marcos G. Ruiz of Corpus Christi and Ramon “Chome” Ruiz (Maria) and Rosendo “Chendo” Ruiz (Yolanda), both of George West; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. George Catholic Church, with Monsignor John Killeen and Father Peter Gajda officiating.
Burial followed in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Alaniz, Wally Garcia, J.D. Ruiz, Mike Ruiz, Robert Ruiz and Billy Chapa. Honorary pallbearers were Steve and Marty Alaniz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Live Oak County or St. George Catholic Church in George West.
Tindol
Edward Tindol, 80, of Beeville died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Visitation was held Sunday at the Galloway & Sons Funeral Chapel. Rosary was recited Sunday at 7 p.m. at the chapel. Mass was celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Donohoe and Monsignor John Killeen officiating. Burial followed at the Gussettville Cemetery in Gussettville.
Pallbearers were Travis Tindol III, Lance Tindol, Shane Tindol, Jerry Nelson, Paul Domanski and Harold McCown. Honorary pallbearers were Pete Williams, Jack Robinson, Bunky Phillips, Al Tindol, Reagan Tindol, Simeon Lewis, Lonnie Gregorczyk, Sam Besancon and all his nephews.
Songs sung included “Amazing Grace” and “Old Rugged Cross.” Everett McAulay was the organist.
Mr. Tindol was born Oct. 27, 1920, in La Para to Freasier and Margaret (Murphy) Tindol. He married Elizabeth Lewis on Feb. 28, 1946, in Gussettville. He was associated with Tindol Distributing Co. and was engaged in ranching. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served with the U.S. Army and Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth L. Tindol of Beeville; three sons, Travis Tindol and wife Lupita and Gary Tindol and Minnie Gutierrez, all of Beeville, and Ron Tindol and wife Jimmye Lu of Lake Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Evon Tindol; a sister, Louise McCown of Calallen; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Holland
Hudie Cox Holland, 82, died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at her residence in George West.
Visitation was held Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in George West, with the Rev. Bruce Irving officiating. Special music included “I Surrender All” and “Amazing Grace.” Burial followed in the George West Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dennis Gallagher, Keith Gallagher, Tony Ortiz, Felton Cox, Edward Cuevas and Charles Carrera.
Mrs. Holland was born Jan. 17, 1919, in Fannin County to Josie M. Dunn and Bob T. Cox. She was married to D.L. Holland Jr. on Sept. 2, 1938, in Live Oak County and they resided in George West. She was a retired cashier at a drive-in grocery store and was a member of the First Baptist Church in George West.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 15, 1990; her parents, six sisters, three brothers and two grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Kent Holland of Junction; one daughter, Wynell Fetterman of Corpus Christi; one sister, Dean Wiggins of Arlington; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Moser
Mary Alice (Dworaczyk) Moser, 61, of Bulverde died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001. She was born in George West on June 29, 1940, to Conrad John and Lucy Marie Bednorz Dworaczyk. She and her husband, Johnny Moser, resided in Bulverde since 1996, having moved from San Antonio where they had lived since 1963. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Mrs. Moser was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Father Edmund Dworaczyk; and a sister, Patricia Jean (Dworaczyk) Deborah.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Moser; daughters, Lynda Lawrence and husband Russell, and Cynthia Laljer and husband Charles, all of San Antonio; grandchildren, Ashlea, Matthew and Whitney Lawrence and Candice and Christopher Laljer; brothers, Lawrence Dworaczyk and wife Christa of Corpus Christi and Leroy Dworaczyk and wife Violet of San Antonio; a sister, Elizabeth Cunningham of Plano; and 14 nieces and nephews.
The recitation of the Rosary was held on Monday at 7 p.m., with Father Tony Cummins leading the Rosary. Visitation began at 6 p.m.
The funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at noon at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers, with Father Peter Gajda officiating.
Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Moser, Lawrence Dworaczyk, Leroy Dworaczyk, Russell Lawrence, Charles Laljer and Scott Zamzow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements were by Vaughan’s Funeral Home of Boerne.
Phillips
Dorothy Mae Phillips, 66, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville, following a long illness. She was born in Corsicana to Erin and Lillie Phillips. She was a jeweler by trade.
Survivors include her mother, Lillie Lee Phillips of George West; one brother, Erin Phillips of George West; and three sisters, Jay Dean Shaw of Florence, Ore., Juanita Kelley of Sweet Home, Ore., and Josephine Hartwell of Bonham.
Visitation was held Friday. The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roberson Funeral Home chapel. Interment was at the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Clayton
Donald H. Clayton Jr., 66, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in a Corpus Christi hospital following a short illness. Mr. Clayton was born in Bay City to Donald H. Sr. and Loberta (Sawyer) Clayton. He was a retired salesman of oilfield equipment.
Survivors include his father, Donald H. Clayton Sr., of Three Rivers; two aunts, Mildred House of Three Rivers and Dorothy Jones of San Antonio; two cousins, Kurt House of San Antonio and Carolyn Bateman of New Braunfels.
Visitation will be held tomorrow (Thursday) from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Roberson Funeral chapel. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Three Rivers. Interment will follow at the Simmons City Cemetery.
