Natasha "Tasha" Sweeten White, 25, passed away suddenly December 24, 2012 in Montgomery county due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Tasha attended schools in Shepherd, Texas and loved her family and children very much. She is survived by her 2 children Kaylie and Samuel, her mom, Lou Ann Hudson of Goodrich, TX. 3 sisters; Amber Poore and her husband Thomas of Broaddus, TX. Angel Mackey and her husband Chris of Trinity, TX. and Chrystal Sweeten and her life partner Samantha of Tullos, LA 1 brother; Calvin Sweeten, JR. of Trinity, TX.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday January 6, 2012 at the Burning Hope Baptist Church in Trinity, TX. with pastor Jim Parrish officiating. In keeping with the families wishes she will be cremated at Brooke Crematory in Huntsville, Texas.

Andreyonne "Yonne" Price, 7 years old passed away suddenly December 26, 2012 in Houston, Texas. Yonne was born May 23, 2004 in Jasper, Tx. She is survived by her mother; Gemeca "Meme" Price of Lufkin, TX. and her dad; Andrew "Hawk" Price of Trinity, TX. A brother Jaiden Price, 3 sisters Geremiya Price, Takasia Castle and Lazana Price.

Rose Marie Mathis

Rose Marie Knickerbocker Mathis, 66 of Huntsville, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on December 29, 2012 after a brief battle with Cancer, surrounded by her family. Rose was born April 17, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Cecil and Lillian Knickerbocker. There to meet her at the gates of Heaven were her parents and the love of her life, William Clayton Mathis. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons John and wife Susan, Clay and wife Melissa, Roy and wife Jessie, Mark and wife Nora, and her seven grandchildren Austin, Kyle, Morgan, Faith, Brooke, Ethan, and Ashtyn and countless other family members and friends. Rose always had a smile on her face, a hot pot of coffee, and a place for you at her dinner table. She loved life and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by those left behind. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Monday December 31 2012 at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel - Huntsville, Texas. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated at Brooke Crematory in Huntsville.

Richard John Sawka, of Point Blank, TX. Previously of Spring, TX. passed away December 28, 2012 at his residence. He was 69 years old. Mr. Sawka was born May 22, 1943 to Jacob and Mary Sawka in Hamtramck, MI. He worked as a parking structure designer for over 30 years for National Planning and Allright Parking in Houston, TX. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Huntsville, TX. He is survived by his wife Carol Sawka of Point Blank, TX. 3 sons; Robert Joel Sawka, Marc Christian Sawka of Spring, TX. Richard John Sawka II of Baltimore MD. 1 daughter Rachael Lee Bilbe and her husband Dennis of Pinehurst, TX. 1 brother; Jacob Sawka of Bear Lake, MI. and a sister; Marilyn Dziadzio of Utica MI. 6 grandchildren; Kailey, Joseph, Connor, Kierstyn, Corrin, and Jacob. Memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday January 4, 2013 at the First Christian Church - Huntsville, TX. A visitation will follow the service in the Church hall.

Chad L. Horton, 63 of Riverside, TX passed away December 28, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Horton was born September 7, 1943 to Chad and Betty Horton in Goose Creek, TX. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Horton and a Grandson Nethanial Cole Cortez of Houston, TX. Also Surviving him is his mother and step father Betty and H.C. King, sister Vickie Curry and her husband Jerry of Riverside, TX. step-brother Wayne King of Houston and Step Sister Brenda. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated at Brooke Crematory. The family will be holding services at later date in Houston, TX.
Richard Dwayne Cauthen

Richard Cauthen, 49, passed away on Sunday Dec. 30, 2012. Born Aug. 31, 1963 in Houston, Texas, to Don Richard Cauthen and Martha LaDell Morris Cauthen. Richard was a lifetime resident of Huntsville and was in the first graduating class of the new Huntsville High School in 1981. Richard worked as a mechanic in Huntsville at several different businesses. He loved to fish, hunt, and ride motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather T. A. Cauthen, grandparents Roland and Naomi Morris all of Huntsville and his step-brother Allen Alexander of Houston. He is survived by his father Don Richard Cauthen, mother LaDell Alexander and step-father Lynn Alexander, brother Robert W. Cauthen, grandmother Lou Hoffman all of Huntsville. Step-brother Wayne Alexander of Austin, aunt Ladell Hoffman of Conroe, uncles Thomas Lynn Cauthen of Kerrville and Roland Morris of Deer Park, niece Katie Cauthen of Houston, and other relatives and numerous friends. Visitation will be at Brooke Funeral Home in Huntsville on Thursday Jan. 3, 2013 between 6pm and 8pm. The memorial service will also be at Brooke Funeral Home on Jan. 4, 2013 at 11am. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated at Brooke Crematory, Huntsville, Texas following the memorial service. Stephen Kyle Oliver

Stephen Kyle Oliver. 58, a long time resident of Huntsville, Texas passed away December 30, 2012 in Huntsville, Texas. Mr. Oliver attended schools in Huntsville and graduated from Huntsville High School. He was a licensed plumber and worked for Action Plumbing for over 15 years. He is survived by his daughter; Stephanie Oliver and her husband Bobby Anderson and a grandson Jordon Mendes all of Huntsville, TX. His mother Shirley Oliver of Huntsville, TX. 1 brother; Maurice Gherald Oliver and his wife Mary of Huntsville, TX. 2 Sisters; Rebecca Lynn Miller and husband John of Huntsville, TX. Phoebee Langley and husband George of Huntsville, TX. and a host of other family members. A visitation will take place Friday January 4, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Brooke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the services at Brooke Crematory.
Helen N. Millsap
(April 30, 1933 - January 1, 2013)
Helen Novadell Millsap, age 79 of Shepherd, passed away on January 1, 2013, at Kingwood Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Brooke Funeral Home in Huntsville. Pastor Mark Parker will be officiating, and family will be providing music. Interment will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Houston National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, Raymond Clayton Millsap, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1971. Helen was born in Jacksonville, TX on April 30, 1933, to Sherman Elcaney and Geneva Busby Sipes. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Billy Joe Dickey; her sister, Neva Belle Hargraves; her brother, James Henry Sipes, James Walton Dickey, Sr. (father of their 5 sons and 1 daughter); her great grandson, Calin Christopher Dickey. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent cook & seamstress, an active church member in earlier years, was known for her beautiful handwriting, and enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, and crafting. Helen is survived by: her brother, Phelix Edward Sipes of Lubbock, TX; six children and spouses which include Jerry Don & Joyce Dickey of Willis, TX; Jim Bob and Diane Dickey of Anton, TX; Deborah Lynn & Eddie Trammell of Coldspring, TX; James Walton, Jr. & Patricia Dickey of Potomac, MD; Paul Dean & Linda Dickey of Arp, TX; Raymond Clayton, Jr. & Tresilla Millsap of Masaryktown, FL; Marcia Dickey (daughter-in-law) of Jacksonville, TX. She leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
