EARLENE STEWART REGAN
Earlene Stewart Regan, 80, of Baytown, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2003, in a Baytown area hospital.
Earlene lived in Baytown for 67 years. She moved to Baytown in the mid 30’s. She married Rusty Regan in Laredo, Texas in 1941. She was a member of First Baptist Church and member and past president of The Pilot Club of Baytown, also a member of The Gadabouts Camping Club of Baytown.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta, father, Earl and brother, Manton.
She is survived by her husband, Rusty Regan, nephews, Sherwood Stewart and wife, Cindi of The Woodlands; Manton Stewart, Jr. and wife Linda of Anahuac; Richard Stewart and wife Julie and children, Kelsey and Kendyl of Baytown; Joe Vance and wife Patricia of Kerrville; William Ussery and wife, Patricia and children of Houston.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. today, July, 22, 2003 at Navarre Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Tate officiating.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Stewart, Matt Stewart, Bill Barker, Elton McDaniel, John Ware and Arthur Holt.
In lieu of flowers and plants please make a donation to the Lifeline Pilot Club of Baytown, that furnishes telephones for shut-ins.

JAMES EDWIN BURGESS
James E. Burgess, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2003 in Baytown. He was born on November 4, 1925 in Cedar Bayou, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Burgess of Houston. He was married and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1997. Funeral services will be held today, July 22, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 306 E. 15th, in Houston. Visitation will be at 12:00 noon today at the church prior to the service.

JAMES EDWIN BURGESS
James Edwin Burgess was born on November 4, 1925 in Cedar Bayou, Texas to Clinton Conway and Naoma Elizabeth Johnson Burgess. He married Charlene Beaird at the First Methodist Church in Houston on May 29, 1951, and had six children, 18 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Jim accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Baytown in 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 43 years, Charlene Burgess, his brother, Marshall Reed Burgess; his much loved sister-in-law, Helen Burgess; and his granddaughter, Marilyn Maureen Martin Baugh.
Mr. Burgess served his country in World War II from 1942 to 1947 in the United States Navy on five different ships in the Pacific Theater. Following the war, he worked at Humble Oil and Refining Company, later Exxon, for 37 years. He retired in 1984 as a supervisor at the Park Street Exxon Chemical Lab. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Baytown. He recently made the remark that he was a Baptist and always would be. He requested the hymn “Amazing Grace” to be played for him many times in the days preceding his death.
His children and spouses are Joe and Janice Martin of Cove, Michael and Rilene Burgess of Baytown, Jackie and Laurie Curry of Baytown, Ricky and Maribeth Ray of Baytown, Tim and Kathryn Wood of Mont Belvieu, and Jimmy and Susan Burgess of Baytown. Grandchildren are Greg and Lisa Kay Martin of Houston, James Baugh of Livingston, Bobby and Kelli Metzger of Huffman, Misti Blackwell of Baytown, Clinton Burgess of Baytown, Sean, Kyle and Patrick Curry of Baytown, Justin Ray of Kings Point, New York, Ashley, Jennifer and Stephen Ray of Baytown, Kalah Jane Erwin of Mont Belvieu, Jill, Megan and David Wood of Mont Belvieu, and Brett and Zachary Burgess of Baytown. Great grandchildren are Joshua and Maura Baugh of Livingston, Allison Martin of Huffman, Ryan Metzger of Huffman, and Shelby and Blake Blackwell of Baytown. Nephews and spouses are Bill and Jean Burgess and Pat and Berta Burgess all of Baytown.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tues., July 22, 3 p.m. at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Ronnie Webb officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons. Edna Stogner Daugherty, 72, of Baytown, passed away on July 19, 2003 at home. She is preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Minnie Stogner, husband Alex Daugherty, daughter Gwen Daugherty, grandson Joshua Daugherty, sister and brother-in-law Reba and Carl Ingram, and brother Kenneth Stogner. She is survived by her children Donna and Randy Ellington of Shelbyville, Cheri and Ronny Itz of Baytown, John and Judy Daugherty of Longview, and Jim and Aundria Daugherty of Kingwood; siblings Denton and Sara Stogner of Paris, Norman and Sharon Stogner and Bobby Stogner of Greenville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Helen Graham Dykes, 65, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003 in Baytown, Texas. She was a member of the V.F. W. Post #912 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don L. Dykes, and her parents: Hammie and Mary Graham. She is survived by her daughter: Dysanna Greer, two sons: Terry Dodd and wife, Beth; and Terry Mills and wife, Tracy; her sister: Judy Horton, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. OLGA MARIE "SUSIE" BARROW
Olga Marie “Susie” Barrow, 85, of Beach City, was born September 23, 1917 in Cody, Texas and passed away Friday, July 18, 2003 in a local healthcare center. She was a retired fourth grade teacher at Stephen F. Austin Elementary School and a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Forrest Barrow, Sr., and sister Frances Legler Olds. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Perry Jr. and Donna Barrow of Austin and Robert and Judy Barrow of Beach City; sister, Martha Legler Royall of Beaumont; brother, Leon Legler of Baytown; and grandchildren, Brandi Barrow of Baytown, Dr. Barbi and Kevin Wells of San Antonio, Robbie Lynn Barrow of Houston, and Kelley Forrest Barrow of Beach City.
Her family received friends at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today, July 21 at 10 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, with Rev. Thomas Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery.

HARRY BOSWELL
Harry Boswell, 86, of Baytown, passed away July 18, 2003 at a local hospital.
He was born March 2, 1917 in Indianapolis. He worked as a welder in the construction business and served in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Boswell, five brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Merl Mullen of Baytown; Pansy and Jim Sherer of Livingston; sister, Nellie Stokes of Oregon; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Woody Brewer, Eston Loving Jr., Harry Mullen, David Mullen, Victory Mullen Jr., and Gable Mullen
