Howard Lee Underwood
(May 10, 1922 - March 9, 2012)

U.S. Veteran

Howard Lee Underwood, 89 of Huntsville passed away Friday, March 09, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 13th at Brooke Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Brooke Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday evening, March 12th from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Howard was born on May 10, 1922 in Brady, Texas to Millard Elmo and Frances Pearl Underwood. He graduated from Brady High School and served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He graduated from Texas A&M receiving a Master’s degree in veterinarian medician. He served as a veterinarian for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy on Dec. 3, 1995 and 6 brothers.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Lynda Guillory and husband Floyd, Cindy Shealy and special friend, David Gaunce; son William Underwood and wife Nadine; 2 brothers; Morris and Leonard Underwood. 4 grandchildren, Kristy and Daniel Sealy, Ronnie and Alan Underwood; 3 great-grandchildren.

Mary "Jeanie" Jean Trantham
(July 13, 1936 - March 12, 2012)

Mary Jean "Jeanie" Trantham Jeanie was born on July 13, 1936 in Dallas, TX to William Monday and Nina Summerall.
She met her heavenly father on March 12, 2012.
She is survived by her son Rick Trantham of Billings, MT, son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Josette Trantham of Huntsville, TX. Eight grandchildren: Chad Trantham, Samantha Trantham, Preston Trantham, Carl Trantham, Melba Trantharn, Tasha Trantham, Garret Ellisor, Emille Ellisor and one great granddaughter.
She also leaves behind a special uncle Bob Summerall, dear friends Earline Williams, Ivy Mason, Chester Miller and her friends at Parkview Place apartments.
Jeanie loved to write poetry and short stories.
She even had several published in the early 1990s.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren watching the Golden Girls.
Many hours were also spent with friends playing Farkle. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Sunday March 18, 2012 from 3-6 PM at Brooke Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 AM March 19, 2012 at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Brooke Cemetery.

Andres "Andy" Elmer Mejia
(December 19, 1981 - March 14, 2012)

Andres "Andy" Elmer Mejia the III, a lifetime resident of Huntsville, Texas passed away suddenly March 14, 2012 in an auto accident.
He was 30 years old.
He was born December 19, 1981 and graduated from Huntsville High School in 2001.
His whole life he loved to work on cars and was a gifted mechanic.
While in school he went to competitions for auto mechanics, winning many awards.
Visitation will start at 10:00 am Friday March 16, 2012 at the Templo Cristo Rey located at 409 9th street in Huntsville.
Prayer service that evening at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday March 17, 2012 also at the Templo Cristo Rey with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, TX.
He is survived by his parents Andres, Jr. and Reyna Mejia; Brother Will and his wife Cindy Mejia; sister Maira Rivas and niece Deborah Elize Rivas all of Huntsville.
He is also survived by an Uncle and many aunts and numerous cousins.

Donna Larson Kleiss
(August 9, 1951 - March 18, 2012)

Donna Larson Kleiss, 60, of Pointblank, Texas passed away March 18, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Donna was born August 9, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Robert and Lois Larson.
In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated at the Brooke Crematory in Huntsville, Texas with private services to be held by the family.

Alan Loyd Hansen
(July 20, 1940 - March 22, 2012)

Alan Hansen, 71, born July 20, 1940 to Swede and LaVerne Hansen, passed away at home March 22, 2012.
Survived by his wife Beverly Goodbar Hansen and daughters Cathy Hansen Perry, Jennifer Boyd and Jessica Frazer. Grandson Alston Alan Boyd.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Sonya Janell Wall

(September 12, 1961 - March 27, 2012)

Our precious Sonya lost her battle with cancer and left us for the arms of our lord Jesus and her beloved mother Syble Smith on 03-27-2012.
Sonya is survived by sons R. Brandon Wall and Kendall W. Elledge, grandmother Francis Fairchild, parents Richard Wall Sr., Chris Wall and Donald Smith, sister Sheryl Wall Duran, brother Richard Wall Jr., step-siblings Steven Ramirez, Terri Jones, and Darren Smith, nieces Monica, Nina, Chloe, Tamera, and skylar, nephews Jared, Nick, Chris, Josh, Jessie and great nephews Cody, Logan, and Noah as well as numerous special relatives and friends.
While her smile will no longer light up our lives here on earth, it will surely be the brightest star in our night sky.
A memorial service will be held on 04-14-12 at Faith Family church 7020 S. Hwy. 59 Diboll, Tx. 75941 at 3 p.m. followed by a reception at her home to celebrate her life.

Clarence Leroy Peltz
(October 1, 1931 - March 27, 2012)

Clarence L. Peltz, 80, of Crockett, Texas passed away March 27, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated at Brooke Crematory and a private family services will be held at a later date.

Nathan "Lobo" Lenard
(June 11, 1963 - March 26, 2012)

Nathan "Lobo" Lenard, 48 of Riverside, Texas passed away March 26, 2012 in Huntsville, Texas.
He is survived by a son Austin in Wyoming and many close friends in Riverside and the surrounding area.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated at Brooke Crematory with a memorial service to be held by his friends at a later date.

Jo Ann Gordon
(March 14, 1935 - March 29, 2012)

Jo Ann Gordon, 77, of Huntsville, Texas passed away Thursday March 29, 2012 in Conroe, Texas.
She was born March 14, 1935 in Gorman, Texas.
In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated at Brooke Crematory and a private service will be held by her friends at a later date.

Richard A. Kennedy
(January 17, 1956 - July 14, 2012)

U.S. Veteran

Richard Kennedy, 56, of Huntsville, Texas passed away July 14, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Kennedy served as a TDCJ Guard at the Wynne Unit for many years and served in the US Navy as a cook.
He is survived by his wife Linda Kennedy and his daughter Melody both of Huntsville, TX; his mother Helen E. Kennedy of Monroeville, Pa.
Siblings, Daryl A. (Chuck) Lyons of N. Versailles, Pa., Beverly J. (August) Adam of McKeesport, Pa., Dawn M. (Keith) Conn of White Oak, Pa., and Dale M. Kennedy., nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father; Clarence C. Kennedy.
The one hobby he loved most was fishing.
He was a very kind person all of his life and would help if he could just about anyone.
Viewing will be Thursday July 19, 2012 from 2-4 at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday July 20, 2012 at the Bryan Baker Memorial Gazebo located at the Brooke Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.

Bonnie Lucille Smith
(January 2, 1923 - July 14, 2012)

Bonnie Lucille Smith, 89, of Houston, Texas passed away July 14, 2012 in Humble, Texas.
Mrs. Smith was born January 2, 1923 in LaMar, Texas to Jess and Ida Jones who have have both preceded her death.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Smith.
She is survived by a sister Melba Sikes of Paris, TX, a brother; James Jones and his wife Georgia of Clarksville, TX, 2 brother-in-laws Perry Handley and Lino Liquadon. Many nieces and nephews.
Also surviving her are 3 special friends; Carmon Bernal, J.C. Sandoval and Donna Rushing.
Other family members that have preceded her death is a daughter Sandra Smith, brother John Jones and his wife Evie, sisters; Helen King Bobbie Liquadon and Neva Handley. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday July 17, 2012 at the Boswell Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas with pastor David Beaty officiating.
