Ferdinand Methot
Services for Ferdinand Joseph "Frenchie" Methot, 70, Mabank, were held Jan. 14, 2005, at the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Seagoville. Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home.
Methot was born April 10, 1934, in Newport to the late Henri and Marie Syr Methot and died Jan. 11, 2005, in Terrell.
Survivors include his wife, Etta Mitchell, Mabank; sons, Paul Methot, Canada; Renea Methot, Canada; Jerry Mitchell, Dallas; Billy Mitchell, Mabank; Edward Jenks, Huntsville; Ernie Jenks, Missouri; and daughter, Alice Mitchell, Seagoville; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Jerry Methot, Gilbert Methot, Pat Methot, Sam Methot and Reggie Methot, all of Canada; sisters, Denise Barton, Paula Bisson and Albina Francoeur, all of Canada; numerous other friends and relatives.
Helen McGee
Services for Helen McGee, 80, Chandler, were held Jan. 15, 2005, in Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. James Howard officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
McGee was born June 4, 1924, in Monmouth, Ill., and died Jan. 12, 2005, in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Roller, and mother, Mable Endura (Burkett) Roller.
She had lived in Chandler since 1981 and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Eustace.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (McGee) Dove, Chandler; son, Harold McGee, Cumming, Ga.; William McGee and wife Joyce, Cumming, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends.
Charles Underriner III
Services for Charles Underriner III, 51, Kemp, were held Jan. 16, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church of Mabank with the Rev. Glen Blackmon officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Underriner was born Dec. 9, 1953, in Shreveport, La., and died Jan. 12, 2005, in a Dallas hospital after a long bout with cancer.
He received a chemical engineering degree from the University of Texas-Austin in 1981, and was employed by Exxon-Mobil as a licensed professional engineer. This career led him from the gas fields of West Texas to Indonesia, Africa, Japan, and finally Doha, Qatar.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Underriner; daughter, Emily Underriner; sons, Charles Underriner IV, and Keith Underriner; mother, Pat Underriner; and brother, Dr. Ken Underriner, all of Kemp.
The Underriner family would like thank Dr. Robert Collins and and the entire Oncology/Hematology group at Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, for their dedication and compassion in helping us to battle Charles' cancer.

Charles Langdon
Services for Charles Langdon, 72, Mabank, were held Jan. 18, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Ron Holloman officiating.
Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Langdon was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, and died Jan. 14, 2005, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa (Kasick) Langdon and father, Charles Langdon.
Previously of Dallas, he lived in Mabank for 18 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He retired from Inwood Station Post Office after 28« years.
He requested this to be in his obituary: "Everybody wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to die. I finally made it. Be happy for me."
Survivors include his son, Kelly Langdon and wife Carla, Gravevine; stepson, Charles Dawson, Teague; stepdaughters, Diane Dawson, Wylie and Pricilla Brewer, Mead, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Truda Smith, Melrose, Mont.; special friend, Shirley Gough; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Jason Collins, Jerry Zimmerman, Don Brewer, Don Brewer Sr. and Phil Rogers.
Clemon T. Karis
Services for Clemon T. Karis, 83, Tool, were held Jan. 17, 2005, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Points with Pastor Garoutte officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Mabank.
Karis was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Moultrie, Ga., and died Jan. 15, 2005, in Tool.
He was a computer technician and a member of the Aley Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Cedar Creek Lakers.
Survivors include his grandson, Danny Lee Mayhew, Kemp; great-granddaughters, Tiffany and Jamie Mayhew, Kemp; and a host of friends.
John Griffith
Memorial services for John Griffith, 41, Mabank will be held Jan. 14, 2006, at 18230 Lakeview Blvd. in Mabank.
Griffith was born Jan. 23, 1964, in Paducah, Ky., and died Jan. 6, 2006. He was preceded in death by Timothy Griffith and Charles Griffith.
He was an engineer and will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Annette Griffith; daughter, Ashley Nicole Griffith; son, Christopher Wayne Barnes; parents, William and Betty Griffith; sisters, Kathrine, Martha and Sarah.
Clarence Johnson
Services for Clarence L. (Buster) Johnson, 74, Athens, were held Jan. 8, 2006, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Glosup officiating. Burial was in Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Eustace under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Johnson was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Wichita Falls and died Jan. 5, 2006, in Athens. He was preceded in death by his son, David Johnson, father, Clarence Bee Johnson and mother, Lorene Johnson.
He was a teacher/coach with the Mabank ISD and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He graduated from Athens High School in 1950, attended East Texas State Teachers College and graduated from the University of Houston in 1957. He was a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church.
He coached football, track and basketball at Hemphill ISD, football and track at Wills Point ISD, coached at Cascia Hall ISD in Tulsa, Batesville ISD in Arkansas and coached football and track at the University of Tulsa.
He retired in 1992 from Mabank ISD where he had been a coach since 1976. He also worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Lederle Drug. Co.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Johnson, Athens; daughter Ana' and husband Jonathon Staton, Mabank; daughter Autumn Johnson Miller, Mabank; grandsons, Shaun Staton, Austin Miller and Lane Staton.
Pallbearers were Bobby Pirtle, Ross Williams, Bobby Bridwell, Jimmy Mitchell, Gary Don Mezzler, Kenneth Mezzler and Dennis Mezzler.
Honorary pallbearers were the Athens High School class of 1950.
Ida Boehme
Services for Ida Boehme, 85, Mabank, were held Jan. 7, 2006, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with James Haynes and Jess Leonard officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Boehme was born July 17, 1920, in Pottsboro and died Jan. 4, 2006, in Kaufman.
She was a retired nurses aid. Previously of Oklahoma, she had lived most of her life in Mabank. She was a member of the Mabank Church of Christ and loved her grandchildren very much. She retired from the Mabank Nursing Home in 1981.
Survivors include her son, Keenan Boehme and wife Marzette, Mabank; daughter, LaWanda Dyer and husband Jack, Mabank; grandsons, John Dyer, Mark Dyer and James Dyer; granddaughters, Jackie Martin, LaNette Boehme, Alesha Askew and Athena Dyer; sisters, Thetis Gray and Hattie Dehart, Oklahoma; brother, Jerry Mutz, Oklahoma; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Pallbearers were John Dyer, Mark Dyer, James Dyer, Kaleb Dyer, Jacob Dyer and Don Martin.
Dorothy Crow
Services for Dorothy Lou Hyde Crow, 80, Mabank, were held Jan. 9, 2006, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with Dr. Royce Riley and the Rev. Glen Blackmon officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Crow was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Mabank and died Jan. 6, 2006, in Mabank. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sibyl Hyde, brother, Gifford Hyde and sister, Gladys Gray.
She was a homemaker and graduated from Mabank High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mabank. She lived in Dallas in 1953 where she was a member of the Lambuth Methodist Church. She moved her membership and attended Wheatland United Methodist Church. She loved to cook and work in her garden.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, J.C. (Jewel) Crow, Mabank; son, Bill R. Crow and wife Jan, Mabank; daughter, Peggy Broyles, Mabank; granddaughters, Jana Dennie and husband James, Mabank; and Sheri Merrill and husband Gregg, Grand Prairie; great-grandchildren, Kaela Dennie, Mabank; Kyle Dennie, Mabank; Haylee Merrill, Grand Prairie; and Gregory Merrill, Grand Prairie; brother, Dub Hyde, Mabank; sisters, Juanita Snowden, Mabank; and Janie Crow, Mabank.
Pallbearers were John W. Crow, John D. Crow, James Dennie, Greg Merrill, Daryl Fulfer and Barry Fulfer.
William Stewart

Stewart was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Mexia and died Jan. 4, 2006, in Dallas.

Donnie Morris
Services for Donnie Morris, 62, Mabank, were held Jan. 7, 2006, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Hamp Manning officiating, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Morris was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Mabank and died Jan. 5, 2006, in Athens.
He had lived in Mabank most of his life and had been married 11 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie A. Morris, Mabank; daughter and her husband Debby and Ken Davis, Frisco; Lonna and her husband Rob Gibson, San Fernando Valley, Calif.; two grandsons, two granddaughters, sister, Betty Cummings, Dallas; stepsons, Eric Rodriguez, Brian Rodriguez and Tony Rodriguez; other family members and numerous friends.
Pallbearers were Eric Rodriguez, Ken Davis, Dwayne Cummings, Michael Galvez, Thomas Galvez and Tommie Galvez.

Mary Jane English
Services for Mary Jane English, 75, Tool, were held Jan. 7, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Tool with Sonny Rhea officiating. Burial was in Tool Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
English was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Galveston, to Grover Cleveland and Emma Moore Bock, and died Jan. 5, 2006, at her residence in Tool.
Moving here from Dallas, she was a housewife and lived in Tool for the past 12 years.
Survivors include her husband Bobby English Sr., Tool; sons, Bobby English Jr. and his wife Cathy, Tool; Danny English, Tool; Steven English and wife Patty, Red Oak; sisters, Betty Raasch and Margaret Rhodes, both of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alfred Linville

Linville was born May 22, 1920, in Maypearl and died Jan. 8, 2006, in Athens.
Previously of Cockrell Hill, he lived in Athens for the past four years. He was a retired salesman and veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He retired after 37 years with Enterprise, Inc. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mabank and American Legion Post Number 310 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Number 4376.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Linville, Athens; son, Thomas Linville and wife Lindee, Kemp; daughter, Jackie Cavanaugh, Garland; grandchildren, Leslie Cavanaugh Warren, Jeff Cavanaugh and wife Susan, Dancia McKinney, Cody Linville, Dana Davis and Billy Roundtree Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ryan Banks, Haley Ward, Savannah Warren, Amelia Warren and Emma Rose Warren.
