ROSIE CAROUTHERS
Rosie Carouthers, 73, of Batson, Texas, was born October 18, 1929 in Dayton, Texas and passed away Thursday, July 24, 2003 in a Channelview hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of the 1st United Pentecostal Church of Mont Belvieu.
Her family will receive friends at the 1st United Pentecostal Church of Mont Belvieu Friday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 3 p.m. at the 1st United Pentecostal Church of Mont Belvieu with Rev. John Nelson and Rev. Andy Coots officiating. Burial will follow at the Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dominick Patalano, Aaron DeLaughter, Allen Jacobson, David DarBonne, Rev. Wayne Collins, and Pat Fiedler.
She was preceded in death by her son, W. G. “Dub” Carouthers and grandson, Chuck Sanders and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Wendy Carouthers of Batson, Joe and Rachel Carouthers of Sour Lake, and James and Lea Carouthers of Batson; daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Larry Moor of Mont Belvieu and Kathy and Rev. John Nelson of Mont Belvieu; brothers, John Zaruba of Hamilton, Frank Zaruba of Temple, and Al Zaruba of Port Bolivar; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

BONNIE SUE DAVIS
Bonnie Sue Davis, 56, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2003 at her home.
Bonnie was born December 11, 1946 in Stanton, Tennessee. Bonnie had been employed in the accounting office of Wal-Mart in Baytown for 12 years. Bonnie was a graduate of Mansfield Business College in El Paso. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Lee Vega, Jr.
She is survived by her father, John Thomas Jackson of Michigan City; mother, Nancy Jane (Simpson) Jackson of Michigan City; son, Daniel (Virginia) Davis of Michigan City; daughter, Cynthia Ann (William) Hyatte of Mooresville, IN.; grandchildren, Jacqueline Diane Davis, Natalicia Maria Sue Hernandez, Christopher Daniel Davis, Shayna Rae Lynn Hyatte, brothers, Larry (Linda) Jackson of LaPorte; John (Linda) Jackson of Michigan City; sisters, Nancy (George) Payne of Michigan City; Annie (Ronnie) Willie of Michigan City; Betty (Sammy) Riley of Batesville, Arkansas; Linda (Ken) Fensler of Ft. Wayne, IN. and Barbara (Larry) Cowgill of Michigan City.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. and a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 at Carlisle Funeral Home.

THOMAS LOGAN DECKER
Thomas Logan Decker, 52, of Pearland, passed away, Wednesday, July 24, 2003 at his home.
Thomas was born December 1, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the owner of E & D Bridal. He loved to play golf and fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Decker.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky Decker of Pearland; mother, E. Faye Decker of Excelsoir Springs, Mo.; daughter, Kinsey Decker of Pearland; sisters, Gayle Largent of Overland Park, Ks.; Deborah Decker Clark of Columbia, Mo.; brothers, Michael Decker of Lionsville, In.; Dr. Randolf Decker of Excelsoir Springs, Mo. and mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Janette Goodman of Baytown.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2003 at Navarre Chapel with Dr. Bob Joiner officiating.

BILLY MARTIN
On June 19, 1924 Billy Wayne Martin was born in Houston to William and Emma Martin. The fifth child of a family of six; and died July 23, 2003. The family moved to Liberty in 1929 where he grew up.
Billy enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943 and served in the Guam, Bouganville and Iwo Jima invasions with the 3rd Marine Division, 21st Regiment. He mustered out in December 1945. Billy was a member of the Crosby United Methodist Church for over 50 years and a charter member of the American Legion Post #658 where he served on the executive committee. He was also a member of the VFW Post #9761 and Vice Commander of the Organization.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vernell Martin and Robert Martin, sisters, Wilma McCarty and Hazel Barrow.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille Martin, son, Kenneth Martin and wife Linda of Sheldon; daughter, Wilma Mantey and husband Jett of Crosby; brother, Lloyd Martin and wife Dorothy of Dayton; grandchildren, Lori Woodruff and husband Jay of Pasadena; Brian Martin of Houston; Sarah Allen of Crosby; great-grandchildren, Kirsti Wooduff and James David Woodruff III of Pasadena.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Sterling White Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2003 at Crosby United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg McGill officiating.
Burial will be at White Cemetery, Highlands.

ODILIA GARCIA REYES
Odilia Garcia Reyes, 63, passed away, Friday, July 25, 2003 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Reyes and father, Trinindad Garcia.
She is survived by her children, Martha Campos and husband Reinaldo, Irma Flores and husband Ramiro, Abel Reyes and San Juanita, Cynthia Huerta and husband Francisco, grandchildren, Misti and J.R. Campos, Veronica, Rosa, Beatriz, Cristina and Selena Flores, Krystal Ramirez, Jose and Erika Reyes, Elizabeth Huerta, four great-grandchildren, mother, Beatriz Villarreal Garcia, brother, Servando Garcia, and sister, Maria Elena De La Paz.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. today, July 26, 2003 and from 12 noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown with a rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St., Baytown.
Interment will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens.

R.B. JACOBS
R. B. Jacobs, 82, of Baytown, was born July 8, 1921 in Goose Creek and passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2003 in a local hospital.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he taught the couples Sunday school class for over 20 years. He retired from Exxon Baytown Refinery with 40 years of service, during which he missed only one day of work. A W.W.II veteran, he retired at the rank of Lt. Col. in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, traveler, golfer, bridge player, and photographer. He was awarded a Master of Photography, was a life member of the Professional Photographers of America, Inc., and a co-founder of the Society of Photographers in Industry in Houston.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, July 25, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Tate and Rev. Jim Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
Serving as pallbearers will be R. N. “Hottie” Bailey, John Scott, Patrick Dees, Gary Kimmey, Randy Kimmey, and Kelly Jacobs.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Jacobs of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, Mark E. and Christine Jacobs of Orange, CA; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Kay and Ed Giese of Fort Collins, CO and Janice Marie Henderson of Clear Lake; sisters, Ruth Colburn of Baytown, Alice Kimmey of Baytown, and Betty Jo Harrison of Baytown; brother, Albert L. Jacobs of Baytown; and grandchildren, Patrick Dees, Sean Henderson, Joy Jacobs, Mary Catherine Jacobs, and Kim Giese.

ROMALDO FERNANDEZ ISBERTO
Romaldo Fernandez Isberto, 80, passed away, Monday, July 21, 2003.
He was a resident of the Baytown area for over 40 years, worked for Exxon for 35 years and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, Keenager Club of St. Johns and Exxon Mobil Retirees Club of Baytown.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Yolanda Isberto of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, Romuald “Rodd” and Christine Isberto of Chicago, Ill.; faithful friend Clara and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
