William Millard
Services for William Reed Millard, 63, Eustace, were held at Black Jack Cemetery July 11, 2004, with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating.
Millard was born Oct. 18, 1940, in Roosevelt and passed away July 8, 2004, in Eustace.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Weaver and mother, Edith Caddell Slagley.
He was a mechanic and welder. Previously of Durant, Okla., he was a resident of Eustace for five years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Millard, Eustace; son, Walter Johnson, Lexington, Okla.; grandchild, Dakota Hicks; brothers, Earnest Millard, Wickett; Duke Kelly, Wickett; Robert Millard, Durant, Okla.; sisters, Peggy Fagan, Loyce Burns and Virginia Hogan, all of Durant, Okla.; Hazel Blackman, Wickett; aunts, Jane Rector and Victoria Chapman.
Pallbearers were Robert Lovell, David Lovell, Craig Lovell, Michael Kent, Bryan Scroggins and Clint Nix.

Faye Hounsel
Services for Faye Hounsel, 91, Malakoff, were held July 13, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church in Malakoff, with Bro. Charles Kimble officiating.
Burial was in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Hounsel was born Jan. 31, 1913, in Becks Chapel to the late James R. and Lena Anding Barton, and died July 11, 2004, in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, James Reagan Hounsel, in 1986.
She was a schoolteacher and Methodist by faith. She moved to this area in 1964 from Dallas.
Survivors include her children Jim and Valois Hounsel, Duncanville; and Sandra Kaye Hounsel, Malakoff; sisters, Gola Slott, Malakoff; and Joyce Trammel, Cross Roads; brother, Lester Barton, Dallas; and two grandchildren.

Bobbie Hatfield
Services of remembrance were held for Bobbie "Jerry" Hatfield, 75, Balch Springs, July 11, 2004, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp, with the Rev. Roger Moore officiating.
Interment followed in Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale.
Hatfield was born Bobbie Geraldine Stockwell Aug. 26, 1928, in McKinney to Daniel Allen and Ruthie Irene (Younce) Stockwell, and died July 8, 2004, in Mabank.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruthie Louise Moore; grandson, Bobby Allen Crowell; nephew, Rodney Moore and daughter-in-law, Ann Crowell.
Survivors include her sons, Lewis Allen Crowell and wife, Barbara, Kemp; and Johnny Wayne Crowell, Palestine; daughter, Jan Nolan and husband, John, Balch Springs; grandchildren, Dwayne Crowell and wife, Ava, Gun Barrel City; Jeri Lynn Chase and husband, Billy Ray, Kemp; and Diana Kay Echols and husband, Andy, Rockwall; seven great-grandchildren, Allen, Angela, Brittani, Jesse, Brianna, Tim and Angela; sisters, Joyce Frances Gay, Pine Tree; Phyllis Diane Floyd, Wylie; and Sharon Stockwell, Dallas; brother, Allen "Sonny" Stockwell, Lewisville, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mattie Bell Hardy
Services for Mattie Bell Strickland Hardy, 96, Seagoville, were held July 13, 2004, at the Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Kaufman with the Rev. David Forgason officiating.
Interment followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry.
Hardy was born Jan. 8, 1908, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to the late H.B. and Beulla Ella Davis Strickland, and died July10, 2004, in Seagoville. She was married to Johnny Martin Hardy Oct. 8, 1924, in Tusdaloosa, Ala., and he preceded her in death in 1956.
She was also preceded in death by her sons, Luther and Chester Hardy, daughter Adelia Jones, and two grandsons.
Survivors include her daughters, Frances Reece, Coker, Ala.; Johnnie Mae Tadlock, Mabank; sons, Hubert Hardy, Mabank; Clinton Hardy, Mabank; Douglas Hardy, Seagoville; and Clifton Hardy, Seagoville; 32 grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.
Pallbearers were Wayne McFatridge, Michael McFatridge, Charles Morris, John Hardy, Russell Hardy and Gary Hardy.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Hardy, Claude Hardy, Rickie Hardy, Hubert Earl Hardy and Lester Hardy.

Kimberly D. Daniel
Services for Kimberly D. Daniel, 38, Kaufman, were held July 14, 2004, at The First Assembly of God Church in Kaufman.
Interment was in Kaufman Cemetery.
Daniel was the daughter of Roy and Betty Daniel of Kaufman.
She was employed by Kaufman Independent School District and was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Kaufman.
She was a graduate of SAGU in Waxahachie.
Survivors include sister, Lisa Martin and husband Ricky, Kaufman; nephews Garrett, Jonathan and Jacey Martin; uncles, Jimmy Mince and wife, Fern, Gun Barrel City; Jack Mince and wife, Shell, Terrell; and a host of family and friends she loved dearly.

Lynn Dandridge
Services for Lynn Dandridge, 65, Mabank, were held July 10, 2004, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.
Burial followed in Locust Grove Cemetery under the direction of Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
James Lynn Dandridge was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Ennis, to Virginia Mathis and the late James Travis Dandridge and died July 9, 2004, in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Rita Davis Dandridge; and a son, Todd Dandridge.
He was raised in Ennis and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1965, and served in the Vietnam War. He married Rita Davis, Jan. 26, 1967, in Kaufman. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia Mathis, Kaufman; son, Chris Dandridge and wife, Lois, Mesquite; daughter, Kathy Thompson and husband, Darrell, Mabank; sister, Janice Collins and husband, Bill, Kaufman; and grandchildren, Danielle Thompson, Shelby Thompson, Erin Dandridge and Todd Dandridge.

J.W. Jordan
Services for J.W.
Jordan, 81, Mabank, were held July 10, 2004, at Eubank Chapel, Canton with the Rev. Steve Glosup officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
Jordan was born April 28, 1923, in Mabank to William Franklin and Syble Catherine Carpenter Jordan and passed away July 7, 2004, in Athens after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Key Jordan.
Jordan grew up in Pleasant Glade Community. He entered the Coast Guard in July 1942, was trained in Hollywood, Fla. and served during World War II. He went overseas in May 1944 as a fireman aboard the USS Calames and was among those who experienced the typhoon at Okinawa.
He married Mabel Key and lived in the Mabank area most of his life. He was a Methodist and was a member of the Trinidad VFW Post 4133 and the District 30 VFW Honor Guard.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Vicki Jordan, Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Larry Keeling, Athens; grandchildren, Michael C. Jordan, Mark Jordan, Taylor Jordan and Brandon W. Keeling; sister, Annie Jo Thacker, Duncan, Okla.

Margaret Zimmermann
Memorial services for Margaret Noel Zimmermann, 74, Trinidad, were held July 12, 2004, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Points with William "Bullet" Bullock officiating.
Zimmermann was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Van Horn and died July 8, 2004, in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her son, Boyd Noel.
She was a display director for Brooks Brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Zimmermann, son, Curt Noel, Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter, Chris Sisson, Duncanville; sister, Beverly Bisland, Grand Saline; brothers, Gene Geaslin, Trinidad; and Ray Geaslin, Frankston; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mabel Curry Hollis
Services for Mabel Curry Hollis, Dallas, were held July 10, 2004, at the Grove Hill Funeral Home.
Hollis was born July 15, 1911 in Hamilton to James Edward Curry and Florence Cathey Curry, and passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Hollis Sr., two brothers, Jesse and Peter, and one sister, Louise.
She was active in community service and volunteered for many projects to help others.
She played piano and served as a Sunday School teacher at Northway Baptist Church. She was an accomplished artist, and was a joy to all who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Fred Hollis Jr.; daughter-in-law, Margo McCarter; grandchildren, Margie Crawford, Daniel Hollis; great-granddaughter, Kelly Crawford; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization of your choice.

Johnny Blakeney
Services for Johnny "Sonny Boy" Blakeney, 75, Dallas were held July 10, 2004, at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malakoff with Bro. Ron Huckabee officiating.
Burial was in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Blakeney was born March 22, 1929, in Athens and passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004, in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Roland and Ruby Cleo Wiggins Blakeney.
He retired from Lone Star Gas as a supervisor and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his daughters, Donna Redding, Combine; and Sherry Abbott, Dallas; sons, Huey Blakeney, Lott; and Wayne Blakeney, Dallas; special niece, Judy Presley, Dallas; sister, Laverne Sutterwhite, Enchanted Oaks.
Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Looney, Ed Mauldin, Billy Blakeney, Michael Blakeney, Robert Redding, Donnie Summers, Hugh Lucas, Gary Summers, Jason Redding, Michael Thomas, Sean Casebott, Jerry Blakeney, Blake Blakeney and Jimmy Blakeney.

Darinda Rogers
Services for Darinda Rogers, 37, Malakoff, were held July 21, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Malakoff with Derek Rogers and Ken Jones officiating. Burial was in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Rogers was born March 11, 1967, in Malakoff and passed away July 15, 2004, in Dallas.
She attended Malakoff schools, graduating in 1985. She then attended Trinity Valley Community College in Athens and Texas Women's University in Denton, graduating with a teaching certificate.
She had been teaching Special Education for the Kerens Independent School District for more than 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, Derek Rogers; 4-year-old son Cameron Rogers; parents David and Jo Hennessee; grandmothers Winnie Hennessee and Loyette Hunter, all from Malakoff.
Pallbearers were Will Kujawa, Phillip Street, Chris Herriage, Dunstin Adams, Paul Capehart, and John Capehart.
