Geneva Wedgeworth
Memorial services will be announced for Geneva Rebecca Wedgeworth, 83, Eustace.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Wedgeworth was born May 19, 1921, in Kaufman and died June 20, 2004, in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Burton Platt, and mother, Estella Mae (Mills) Platt.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lee Wedgeworth, Eustace; daughters, Dorothy Jenkins, Eustace; Barbara Tuomi, Calif.; sons, Thurma "Butch" H. Goodwin Jr., Desoto; Charles L. Goodwin, Kemp; Sam Ramsey, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, David Platt, Arizona.

Avis Fern Campbell
Services for Avis Fern Campbell, 77, Kemp, were held June 25, 2004, at the Eubank Chapel, Canton, with the Chaplain W.T. Henry officiating.
Interment was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.
Campbell was born April 16, 1927, in Canton to Sam Lawrence and Lovie Ramsey Stephens, and passed away June 22, 2004, in Kemp after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lawrence Campbell; and a grandson, Robert Ray Willingham.
She grew up in Canton until she moved to Dallas. There she managed an apartment. She had lived in the Kemp area for the past 10 years. She was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Willingham, Kemp; granddaughter, Shawn Willingham, Kemp; great-grandchildren, Christopher Chase Dockworth and Taylor Ray Dockworth; brother, Wendell Stephens, Murchison; and sister, Nellie Buckley, Port Arthur.

Dominique Thomasson
Services for Dominique Lucille Thomasson, 6, Combine, were held June 25, 2004, at the Country Bible Church in Kaufman with the Rev. Jim Leach officiating.
Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine under the direction of Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kaufman.
Thomasson was born Aug. 31, 1998, in Kaufman, to Lewis and Christi Thomasson and passed away June 21, 2004, in Dallas.
She attended kindergarten in the Crandall ISD and was a member of the Country Bible Church in Kaufman. She was also a member of the AWANAS and received numerous awards. '
Dominique was a happy, beautiful and living child who will be missed by all who knew her. However, she will live on in the hearts of all.
Survivors include her parents, Lewis and Christi Thomasson, Combine; brothers, Lewis Thomasson Jr., and Chad Thomasson, Combine; sister, Destani Thomasson, Combine; grandparents, Deborah Moore, Kemp; Oakie and Robin Young, Mabank; and Lee Thomasson, Eustace; great-grandparents, Frances Madding, Tool and Emory; and Lola Thomasson, Emory; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Lavern Little
Services for Lavern Little, 51, Hallsville, sister of a Kemp resident, were held June 30, 2004, at Noonday Methodist Church in Hallsville with the Rev. Tony Ciomperlik officiating under direction of East Texas Funeral Home, Longview.
Little was born Dec. 4, 1952, in Fort Worth to the late Vernon and Dorothy Chandler Filbert, and passed away June 26, 2004, in a hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Cook, Hallsville; brother, Douglas Filbert, Kemp; sister, Shirley Moore, Hallsville; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jacob Rolison
Graveside services for infant Jacob Wayne Rolison, Eustace, were held June 26, 2004, in the Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Eustace with Bro. Mike Gibbs officiating, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Jacob was born June 24, 2004, in Athens.
Survivors include his parents, Jeromy and Renee Rolison, Eustace; grandparents, Benny Ray and Sharon Wofford, Malakoff; Gary and Vickie Goodell, Eustace; sisters, Alyssa and Karissa Rolison, Malakoff; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Don Terry
Services for Don Russell Terry, 58, Athens, will be held June 26, 2004, at the West Athens Baptist Church with Bro. Rocky Weatherford officiating.
Burial will be in the Royse City Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Terry was born Nov. 11, 1945, in Dallas to Elbert and Louise Terry, and passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at his parents' home in Royse City.
Terry has resided in Athens since 1984, and was a member of the West Athens Baptist Church.
He retired from TXU Energy in 2002.
His gentle spirit and uncomplaining acceptance of adversity will be remembered by his family, as well as the many friends he has made through the years. They will have many fond memories of a very special man.
Survivors include his children, Michael Terry, Athens, Ohio; and Tracy Davis, Athens; parents, Elbert and Louise Terry, Royse City; sister, Anna Bozman, Allen; grandchildren, James Davis Jr., and Caden Russell Terry; numerous nieces and nephews.

Travis Roberts
Services for Travis Roberts, 66, Mabank, were held June 28, 2004, in the First Baptist Church of Mabank with Dr. James Harms officiating.
Interment with honors were conducted by the Henderson County Peace Officers Association and area fire departments in the Oaklawn Memorial Park of Athens.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Cooper Funeral Home of Athens.
Roberts was born Sept. 12, 1937, in Como to George Riley and Lessie Cannaday Roberts, and passed away June 26, 2004, in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gordon and Garland Roberts.
Roberts was raised in the Como area and graduated from Como High School. He worked for Perry's Five and Dime in Sulphur Springs and later for the Perry Company in Athens. He served in the United States National Guard.
He worked as a volunteer fireman in Athens and made promotions to the rank of Captain.
He continued his advancement and became Athens' first City Fire Marshal and later became the first Fire Marshal of Henderson County.
He also served the county as the head of emergency management, flood plains coordinator, chairman of the local emergency planning commission, International Association of Arson investigators, National Fire Protection Association and Henderson Investigators Association.
HE retired in 1999 and began enjoying hobbies such as building and woodworking.
His handy work can be found throughout the courtrooms and judge's chambers of the Henderson County Courthouse.
He loved fishing and was often found around town drinking coffee and discussing big fish stories including his 33-pound red snapper catch.
He appears in several of the older pictures of peace officers and firemen on the walls of Applebee's restaurant in Athens.
He was a man who had a hard time saying "No" to anyone and was very good at saying, "Yes ma'am."
Travis will be remembered as a tall lanky man of great compassion with a heart as pure as gold.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Roberts, Mabank; sons, Tommy Roberts, Athens; Bryan Roberts, Tuttle, Okla.; Ken Roberts, Eustace; and Brad Jordan, Sherman; daughters, Sandra Eby, Belton; and Dana Nutt, Mabank; sisters, Marlene Lohr, Como; Bobby Turner, Gladewater; and Lanieta Moore, Winnsboro; 13 grandchildren.
Friends as close as family include Bill and Jeannine Lute, Eustace; John and Karen Sandles; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deonnah and Steve Tate, Cleburn.
Pallbearers were Bill Lute (retired Dallas Fire Department), Waylon Padgett (Athens Fire Department), Butch Grant (Gun Barrel City Fire Department), Mike Grant Gun Barrel City Fire Department), Chris Anthony (Eustace Fire Department), and Randy Harley (Payne Springs Fire Department).

Edward Wesley
Services for Edward "Eddie" Wesley, 73, Mabank, were held July 9, 2004, at the First Church of the Nazarene, Gun Barrel City with the Rev. Ed Schaurer officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Wesley was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Vigo Park and died July 7, 2004, in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Wesley and his mother, Mable Fern Wesley.
Previously of San Angelo and Littleton, he lived in Mabank for two years and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Gun Barrel City. He retired from GTE, Littleton, as a storekeeper, after 37 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Wesley, Mabank; sons, Randy Wesley, Amarillo; Vernon Wesley and wife, Carmaleta, Ontario, N.Y.; daughters, Kay Brady and husband, Jerry, Mabank; and LaDonna Jones and husband, Danny, Mabank; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Crawford Wesley and wife, Betty, Tulia; and sister, Mildred Mauser, Plainview.

James C. Page
Services for James C. Page, 85, Kemp, were held July 8, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rob Ivy officiating. Interment was in Kemp Cemetery.
Page was born July 25, 1918, in Jackson County and died July 5, 2004, in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patsy Jane Smith, one brother and four sisters.
He was a heavy equipment operator, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Page, Kemp; daughters, Peggy Page Kelly, Houston; Lucy Page Kelly, Coleman; and sister, Zora Belle Casterine, Fulton.

Betty Shaw Leech
Services for Betty Shaw Leech, 57, Log Cabin, were held July 12, 2004, in Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Hensley officiating.
Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Leech was born Nov. 27, 1946, in Dallas and passed away July 9, 2004, in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harley W. Shaw.
She was self-employed. Previously of Dallas, she lived in Log Cabin for 17 years. She was a member of the Gun Barrel City Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Press Association.
She was a former member of Log Cabin City Council and was actively involved in news media in the Cedar Creek area, serving as the advertising director for The Monitor for several years.
Survivors include her sons, Philip Leech, Malakoff; Curtis Leech, Malakoff; daughter, Kim Saling, Decatur; grandchildren, Alesha Page, Decatur; and R.J. Hunt, Decatur; mother, Jackie (Hyde) Bailey, Edgewood; brother, William Johnson, Fla.; sisters, Ginger Wise, Edgewood; and Beverly Schlebach, Forney.

Edward Wesley
