Services for Sue McEntire Crowell, 56, Athens, were held June 18, 2004, at the First Assembly of God Church in Malakoff with James McEntire Jr., and Kevin Price officiating.
Burial was in the Pot Oak Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Crowell was born June 29, 1947, in Malakoff to Claude and Della Mae McEntire and died June 15, 2004, in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Everett Anthony in 1966.
Survivors include her husband, David Crowell, Athens; sister, Margie Simmons and husband, Bob, Trinidad; brothers, Jim McEntire and wife, Connie, Freeport; and Roddie McEntire and wife, Frankie Mae, Athens.
Jack Raymond Calverley
Services for Jack Raymond Calverley, 74, Gun Barrel City, were held June 17, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. C.A. McBride officiating.
Interment followed in Cedar Creek Memorial Park.
Calverley was born Jan. 19, 1930, in Frisco and died June 14, 2004, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Calverley and his mother, Alice (Powell) Calverley.
Previously of Dallas, he has lived in Mabank since 1987. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He owned and operated Calverley Diesel, Inc. for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda (McBride) Calverley, Mabank; sons, Mickey Calverley, San Antonio; Ricki Calverley, Arlington; Timothy Calverley, Arlington; Teddy Calverley, Mansfield; John DeSant, Gun Barrel City; daughter, Jacqua Sue Maurer, Arlington; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Calverley, Dorton, Conn.; Sammy Calverley, Mesquite; Tommy Calverley, Wills Point; and Jerry Calverley, Rockwall.
Pallbearers were Leland Calverley, Mike Calverley, Tracy Calverley, Jerry Calverley, Rusty Calverley and Kenneth Story.
Jack Johnson Garland Sr.
Services for Jack Johnson Garland Sr., 72, were held in Pueblo, Mexico, June 17, 2004.
He was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Oklahoma and passed away suddenly June 16, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Potlonie Reaves Taylor.
He lived in Dallas and the Cedar Creek Lake area, working in Dallas, before retiring and moving to Pueblo, Mexico.

Baby Chandler was born June 16, 2004, in Athens and died the same day at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Wedgeworth was born May 19, 1921, in Kaufman and died June 20, 2004, in Athens. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Burton Platt, and mother, Estella Mae (Mills) Platt.
She was a homemaker.

John H. Crow

Crow was born March 2, 1921, in Marshal, Ark., and died June 16, 2004, in Mabank.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Crow, mother, Ida Mae (Hogue) Crow, brothers, Edward Crow and C.V. Crow.
He was a member of the Mabank Presbyterian Church and an ordained elder in the church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in World War II. Previously of Tyler, he had lived in Mabank for 16 years.

Virgil Mahon

Mahon was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Valiant, Okla., and died June 18, 2004, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Mahon and mother, Ollie Mahon.
He was a truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel (Allen) Mahon, Terrell; sons, Tom Mahon, Dallas; Freddie Mahon, Gun Barrel City; and Mike Mahon, Mesquite; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Liza Eubanks
Services for Liza Eubanks, 96, Malakoff, were held June 22, 2004, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Malakoff with Pastor Carl Woodard officiating. Burial was in Steen Cemetery under the direction of Cain-Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, Malakoff.
Eubanks died June 19, 2004, in an Athens hospital.
She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and served as mission secretary.
Survivors include her daughters, Verna M. Turner and Dorothy M. Jackson, both of Malakoff; stepdaughters, Barbara Spence, Ferris; and Linda Jones, Cedar Hill; sister, Alberta Dawson, Malakoff; four grandchildren; and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Homer Ray Trimble, Timmy Trimble, Jerry Woodard, Morris Payne Jr. and James Green.
Barry James
Graveside services for Barry James, 52, Seven Points, were held June 22, 2004, at Hopewell Cemetery near Lindale under direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
James was born May 18, 1952, in Dallas to Billie Joe and Velma James, and died June 20, 2004, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Joe James and brother, Jeffrey Hobart James.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a sales manager for Town & Country Furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie James, Seven Points; daughter, Devon James, Broken Arrow, Okla.; mother, Velma Mae James, Seven Points; sister, Jennifer Colby, Rockwall; brother Joe James, Olathe, Kan.; nieces and nephews.
Terry Reed Keith

Keith was born Sept. 12, 1944, in Atoka, Okla., and died June 17, 2004, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Keith.
He installed sprinkler systems.

Services for Don Russell Terry, 58, Athens will be held June 26, 2004, at the West Athens Baptist church with Bro. Rocky Weatherford officiating.
Burial will be in the Royse City Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Terry was born Nov. 11, 1945, in Dallas to Elbert and Louise Terry, and passed away June 23, 2004, at his parents home in Royse City.
Terry has resided in Athens since 1984 and was a member of the West Athens Baptist Church.
He retired from TXU Energy in 2002.
His gentle spirit and uncomplaining acceptance of adversity will be remembered by his family as well as the many friends he has made through the years. They will have many fond memories of a very special man.
Survivors include his children, Michael Terry, Athens; Ohio; and Tracy Davis, Athens; parents, Elbert and Louise Terry, Royse City; sister, Anna Bozman, Allen; grandchildren, James Davis Jr., and Caden Russell Terry; numerous nieces and nephews.
