Crowley was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo., to Daniel R. and Sophie Crowley, and died Jan. 2, 2004.
He worked in the aviation industry in several capacities, starting at TWA in 1947, moved to Dallas in 1977 as director of airline world wide sales for Aviall and then retired from Standard Aero as director of U.S. operations in 1991.
He loved sports of all kinds and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; daughters, and their husbands, Colleen and Lucian Brasier, Plano; and Maureen and Paul Mellander, Dayton, Ohio; sons, Kevin of Bastrop; Michael and his wife, Robin, Lucas; Steve and his wife, Elizabeth, Dallas; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel and Laura Brasier, Jasmine and Kiefer Crowley, Kristen Mellander, Griffin and Gabrielle Crowey. sisters, Elizabeth and husband, John; Peggy Crowley; brother, Vince; nieces, Kathy and Diane, all of Kansas City.

Marilyn Sue McKinley Arbuckle passed away Jan. 2, 2004, from a long-term illness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford M. McKinley, mother, Ivey Pickett McKinley, and brother, Alan Paul McKinley.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Arbuckle; son, Justin Arbuckle; daughter, Amanda Arbuckle Morales; grandson, Isaac McKinley Morales, all of Royse City; brothers, James McKinley, Point; Sidney McKinley, Kemp; sisters, Annette McNair, Kemp; and Janet Davis, Kaufman; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jones was born June 20, 1935, in Mabank and died Jan. 7, 2004, in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lola Anderholm; and brothers, Daniel Smith and Thomas Smith.
She was a bookkeeper.

Bryan was born Jan. 13, 1944, in Albuquerque, N.M., to the late Jack Dewitt Dunson and Isabel Caufman.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margorie Kay Moody and brother, Robert Dunson.
She was a homemaker.

Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Martins Mill, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home Inc., Canton.
Washington was born April 20, 1911, in Martins Mill to Anna Norrise and Ella Watson Lawler, and died Jan. 5, 2004, in Kemp after a long illness.
She lived part of her youth in Martins Mill and then moved to Dallas where she was raised by her Uncle Arthur and Emma Watson.
She attended school in Dallas at B.F. Darrell and B.T. Washington.
She married E.F. Adams and then in 1942, she married James Washington June 18, 1942.
Survivors include her sons, Russell Washington, Roger Thomas, Will Elbert Washington, all of Dallas; and James Washington, Mabank; daughters, Jessie Smith, Dallas; Ella Prox, Mabank; Cora Lee Smith, Gun Barrel City; Anna Norrise O'Neal, Mabank; Bertha Macon, Mabank; Genava Stuart, Mabank; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tavores Smith, Byron Prox, Russell Prox, Ronald Thomas, Johnny Blanton and Paul Lawler.
Sam Bass
Services for Sam Bass, 69, Mabank, were held Jan. 7, 2004, in the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Don Teague and Alan Austin officiating.
Burial was under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Bass was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Norfolk, Va., and passed away Jan. 4, 2004, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Bass and a son, Tom Bass.
He was an equipment operator and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
He was member of the Masonic Lodge No. 155 in Athens, and a member of the Prairieville Bench Warmers Club and a board member of the Kaufman County Fire District.
Survivors include is wife of 40 years, Frances "Sissy" Bass, Mabank; daughter, Ashden Bass, Mabank; sons, Garrett Bass, Denton; Michael Bass, Mabank; and four grandchildren.

Black was born July 14, 1938, in Sunhammer, La., and died Jan. 2, 2004, in Gun Barrel City.
He was a farm hand.

Thomas was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Portland, Ore., and died Dec. 31, 2003, in Athens.
She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Mabank and worked for the Mabank Nursing Home as a nurse's aide.

Tadlock was born Dec. 25, 1986, in Dallas, and died Dec. 31, 2003, in Athens.
She had lived in the Tool area for the past eight years. She was a junior at Malakoff High School and attended the First Baptist Church in Tool.
She enjoyed helping others and touched many lives.

Robert Beall
Memorial services for Robert Beall, 82, Gun Barrel City, will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 10, 2004, at the Aley First United Methodist Church in Seven Points with the Rev. Eston Williams officiating. The services are under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Beall was born March 12, 1921, in Redkey, Ind., to Harold and Abigail Beall, and died Dec. 18, 2003, in Athens. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jeanette Phillips.
He was an aircraft technician for General Motors and belonged to the HUMP pilots association. He was a flight officer for the United States Army. During World War II he piloted aircraft and commanded crew in the transportation of troops and supplies into enemy territory. He received the Air Medal and two battle stars.
Survivors include his wife, Louann Beall, Gun Barrel City; son Robert and his wife, Nancy Beall, Alexandria, La.; daughters, Maryann Barnett, Glendale, Ariz.; Teresa Solesky, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Marsha, Joyce and their families; sister Elenor Reynard, Indiana; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Bruton was born June 28, 1924, in Eustace to the late Robert and Sara Jane Weaver, and died Jan. 4, 2004, in Mabank. She was preceded in death by her sister, Fay Featherston.
She was a homemaker.

Leona Barrow
Services for Leona Rose "Miss No No" Barrow, 90, Mabank, were held Jan. 5, 2004, in Eubank Memorial Chapel with Denny Gorena officiating. Burial followed in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Barrow was born Nov. 22, 1913, in Fort Worth, and died Dec. 31, 2003, in Mabank.
She was a homemaker. She moved from Dallas to Mabank in 1974, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Gun Barrel City. She was Dutch and loved that fact.
Survivors include her daughters, Jerry Ford, Mabank; Charla Kennemore, Seagoville; Lou Merriman, Mabank; son, Leonard R. Williams, Sunnyvale; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
