Anna Reschke
Services for Anna Lue Reschke, 68, Flint, were held Nov. 4, 2003, at Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston with Pastor Todd Peavy officiating. Burial was in Wilson Chapel Cemetery, Kaufman.
Reschke was born March 2, 1935, in Albuquerque, N.M., to the late J.C. and Verdie Bunch, and died Oct. 31, 2003, in a Tyler hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lloyd Reschke, and children, Jimmy Doyle Warren, Talton Lloyd Reschke and Mary Reschke.
She was a homemaker and member of Lake Community Baptist Church of Dogwood City.
Survivors include sons, John Reschke, Frankston; Donald Reschke, Wills Point; Glen Reschke, Kaufman; and Elden Reschke, Mabank; daughters, Debbie Vrzalik, Glenda Baker, and Karen McClane, all of Kaufman; and La Wanda Bailey, Bullard; brother, Jimmy Udell Bunch, Hawaii; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Rogers
Graveside services for Dorothy Estelle Rogers, 76, Palestine, were held Nov. 5, 2003, at Plainview Cemetery, Madison County, with the Rev. Rick Linebarger officiating under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home, Palestine.
Rogers was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Madisonville to the late William Crockett and Martha Levenia Williams Hall, and died Nov. 1, 2003, in a Palestine nursing home.
She grew up in Madisonville and lived most of her life in the Houston area prior to moving to Palestine in 1980. She was a seamstress and designer, a Baptist, and a member of the VFW Post No. 3907.
Survivors include her sons, James "Jesse" Dent, Palestine; and Norman Dent, Columbia, Miss.; daughters, Elaine Lingenfelter, Whitney; and Jerry Abendroth, Spring; brothers, Roy Hall, Palestine; David hall and Carl Hall, both of Malakoff; sister, Sybil Kirsch, Houston; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and Sammy Harrison.

Lottie R. Pate
Services for Lottie R. Pate, were held Oct. 30, 2003, at Hampton Place Baptist Church in Dallas.
Interment was at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.
Pate was born July 27, 1924 and died Oct. 26, 2003. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe D. Steen.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin L. Pate; daughter, Kelly D. Pate; stepson, James Pate; sister, Barbara Wells Ledden; granddaughter, Jodi Mason; great-grandchildren, Bethany and Braydon Mason.

Alice Abbott
Alice Julia Abbott, 82, Trinidad, died Nov. 5, 2003, in Malakoff. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Abbott was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Robertsdale, Pa., and has lived in Trinidad for the past five years.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Kent Abbott in 1990.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her son, David and his wife, Judy Abbott, Trinidad; brother, Henry Theys; sisters, Ruth Chessero, Elsie Smith and Helen Mae Shoemaker, all of Penn.; grandchildren, Melissa, Kevin, Korey and Kris; great-grandchildren, Cortney, Chandy, Austin, Lyndy, Mason and Ella.

Velma Adams Cook
Services for Velma Adams Cook, 85, Mabank, were held Dec. 29, 2003, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charles Groce officiating.
Interment followed in Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Cook was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Kerens and died Dec. 27, 2003, in Mabank.
She was a housewife and lived in Mabank five years. She was formerly from Palestine.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Davis, Mabank; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Carl Victor Wilkinson
Services of remembrance for Carl Victor Wilkinson, 87, Kemp, were held Dec. 29, 2003, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp with the Rev. Lew Stokes officiating. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Lufkin.
Wilkinson was born Dec. 20, 1916, in Port Arthur to Myron L. Wilkinson and Mae (Ford) Wilkinson, and died Dec. 26, 2003, in Kaufman.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lufkin and was a Master Mason. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a storekeeper first class. He married Murl Custer in San Diego, Calif., June 26, 1943.
Survivors include his wife, Murl Wilkinson, Kemp; son, Michael Wilkinson, Providence, R.I.; sister, Gladys Wilkinson Liese, Lufkin; sister-in-law, Marie Ashmore, Mabank; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Gertrude Sherar
Services for Gertrude Mills Williams Sherar, 79, Mabank, were held Dec. 27, 2003, at Foster & Brown Funeral Home chapel, Athens, with the Rev. Jack Mills officiating.
Burial was in Owen Cemetery, south of Athens.
Sherar was born Jan. 21, 1924, in Henderson County to the late William Henry Otto and Sittie Elizabeth Snowden Mills, and died Dec. 24, 2003, in a Tyler hospital.
She was preceded in death by husband Clifford Sherar; sisters, Beulah Morgan, Belle Teel and Jean White; and brothers, Buford Mills, Earl Mills and Ray Mills.
She worked for several companies in Athens, including K-Wolens, Perkins Brothers, Patterson Dairy, Piggly Wiggly, Henderson's, Jim Williams' Produce and Tom Thumb.
She married Robert Henry Clay Williams, July 8, 1939, and Robert Clifford Sherar, Jan. 14, 1965.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Jones, Gun Barrel City; Jerry Jane Williams, Chandler; Dianna McCall, Athens; and Trudy Sherar, Haltom City; son, Robert Earl Williams, Elkhart; stepdaughter, Carolyn Hanson; stepson, Kenneth Sherar; sisters, Bernice Godwin, Hobbs, N.M.; and Janie Carter, Athens; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Larry Dunn, David Earl Williams, Terry Dunn, Travis Stewart, Luther Williams and Robby McCall.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Johnson, John LeGard, Jeremy LeGard, Aaron LeGard, granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701.

Marguerite Smith
Services of remembrance for Marguerite Smith, 82, Kemp, were held Dec. 27, 2003, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp, with the Rev. Rocky Weatherford officiating. Interment followed at Guthrie Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kemp.
Smith was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Winnsboro to Eunice Otto Holt and Ethel Arena (Glover) Holt and died Dec. 24, 2003, in Plano. She was preceded in death by her husband, M-arvin D. Smith.
She graduated from Sherman Beauty School in 1957 and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Kemp.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diann Johnson, Allen; grandchildren, Madeleine Johnson and Alexandra Johnson, Allen; brother, E.O. Holt Jr., Winnsboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Oby Gene McGlaun
Services for Oby Gene McGlaun, 71, Gun Barrel City, were held Dec. 29, 2003, at Eubank Memorial Chapel, Mabank, with Dr. Ron Holloman officiating, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
McGlaun was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Calvert to Raymond and Mannie (Smith) McGlaun and died Dec. 26, 2003, in Gun Barrel City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena in 1989.
He was a past master of Corpus Christi Lodge No. 189 AF & AM, a Shriner at Al Amin Scottish Rite and was also active with Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers. He attended First Presbyterian Church of Mabank.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah and her husband, Bobby Stidman, Schulter, Okla.; Diane McGlaun of The Colony; son, Glenn McGlaun of The Colony; and his wife, Debbie, Jacksonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Paul and Shane Cunningham, Round Rock; Robin McGlaun and Kelley McGlaun, Jacksonville, N.C.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's or Scottish Rite Hospitals.

Todd Shewmake
Graveside services for Todd Lee Shewmake, 17, Gun Barrel City were held Dec. 28, 2003, at the Chinquapin Cemetery in Van Zandt County with Brother Rick Wyatt officiating.Arrangements were under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Todd was born May 28, 1986, in Laramie Wyo., to Marvin Shewmake and Brenda Laneen Shewmake, and died Dec. 22, 2003, in Tyler.
He has lived here for the past 10 years, moving from Laramie, Wyo.
Survivors include his mother, Brenda Shewmake, Gun Barrel City; brothers, Eric and Chad Shewmake, Anthony Gray, all of Gun Barrel City; grandparents, Don and Lanny Nansen, Laramie, Wyo.; Bill and Berna Molenda, Darby, Mont.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were Eric Shewmake, Chad Shewmake, Phillip McKenney, Joe McKenney, Jeremy Janke and Johnny Jones.

Roger Beach
Graveside services for Roger Beach, 59, Kemp, father of a Gun Barrel City resident were held Dec. 28, 2003, at Meredith Campground Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Webster officiating under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home, Athens.
Beach was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Henderson County to the late John Thomas Black and Ollie Mae Smith, and died Dec. 24, 2003, in Henderson County.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Beach; daughter, Patricia Ann Beach, Belton; sons, Michael Hollaway, Austin; and Corey Hollaway, Gun Barrel City; sisters, Perry Floyd, Mabank; Clara Ward, Moody; and Lucky Newman, Dallas; brother, Thomas Beach, Moody; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Mildred Tucker
Graveside services for Mildred Tucker, 76, Seven Points, were held Dec. 26, 2003, at King Cemetery near Seven Points with Bro. Bobby Adams officiating. Services were under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Tucker was born April 15, 1927, in Corsicana to Robert and Nell Pohl, and died Dec. 23, 2003, in Athens.
Survivors include her children, Carleen Sharp, Ferris; Roger Tucker, Seven Points; Terry Tucker, Seven Points; Richard and Kathy Tucker, Ferris; brother, Robert Pohl, Bryan; sister, Martha Pohl, Caldwell; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Michelle Boswell
Graveside services for Tina Michelle Boswell, 23, Eustace, were held Dec. 27, 2003, at Shelby Chapel Cemetery with Bob Sapp officiating, under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home, Athens.
Boswell was born Aug. 3, 1980, in Tyler and died Dec. 22, 2003, in Athens.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Lee Boswell; daughters, Jamie Leann DeVance and Tiffany Gail DeVance; sons, Daniel Dean Boswell; and Christyan Lynn Boswell; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Jerry Miller, Eustace; sisters, Amanda Jean Lane and Anna Elaine Bennight, both of Eustace; grandparents, Jackie Monroe and Joyce Elaine Patterson, both of Eustace; two uncles and aunts.
