Services for Mary Aline Anthony, 64, Eustace, were held Sept. 3, 2003, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with Travis Fulton officiating. Interment was in Goshen Cemetery.
Anthony was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Loving and died Sept. 1, 2003, in Athens.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Anthony, Eustace; sons, Christifer Anthony, Eustace; Eddie Layton Anthony, Mabank; daughter, Mary Etta Stringer, Austin; sisters, Joyce Cox, Seagoville; Betty Meeks, Kemp; Darlene Rassbaeh, Kemp; Joann Weaver, Monday; brothers, Don Smith, Kemp; Jack Smith, Seven Points; Jimmy Smith, Mabank; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Chad Anthony, Danny Anthony, Jeff Anthony, Curtis Parker, T.J. Stegall, and Tracy Stegall.

Jeffrey Scott Miller
Services for Jeffrey Scott Miller, 39, Seven Points, were held Aug. 29, 2003, at the Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery in Sherman, under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman.
Miller was born June 10, 1964, in Dallas, and died Aug. 26, 2003, in Seven Points.
Survivors include his parents, Carolyn (Gann) and E.H. Matherly, Sherman; brothers, John L. Miller, Mabank; and Mark A. Miller, DeSoto; sister, Michelle R. Miller, Denison; nieces, Amanda Sparks, Tyler; Jennifer Miller, Mabank; Melissa Miller, Dallas; Carly Miller, Denison; and nephew, Jonathan Miller, Mabank.

Dee McDonald
Memorial services for Dee McDonald, 67, Malakoff, were held Sept. 1, 2003, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malakoff.
McDonald died Aug. 28, 2003, in Athens.
He was a retired master mechanic and worked for Trophy Nissan for more than 23 years.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Theresa, Malakoff; parents, Lewis and Sylvia McDonald, Barbourville, Ky.; children, Steve, Pam, Deborah, Billy of Ky.; Patricia Rainwater, Athens; Sherrie Muehl, Marble Falls; and Jeff Muehl, Malakoff; brother, Ray McDonald, Ky.; sister, Charlotte Rock, Argentina; and sisters, Jenetta and Brenda of Ky.; seven grandchildren in Ky. and Ann, Ashley and Cash Muehl, Malakoff; Travis Muehl, Jared and Patrick Strawn, Athens.

Dave Broyles
Services for Dave Broyles, 61, Newalla, Okla., were held Sept. 2, 2003, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glen Blackmon officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Broyles was born Feb. 22, 1942, in San Francisco, Calif., and died Aug. 30 2003, in Norman, Okla.
He was a truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Broyles, Newalla, Okla.; son, Dennis Broyles, San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Debbie and her husband, Mike Loupch, Madera, Calif.; brother, Mike and his wife, Shirley Broyles, Rush Springs, Okla.; sisters, Judi Hallet, Mich.; Jean Lambert, Norman, Okla.; grandchildren, Angel and Tiffany.

R. H. Williams
Services for R.H. "Bob" Williams, 83, Athens, were held Sept. 3, 2003, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. Henry Lee Lusk officiating. Burial was in Owen Cemetery.
Williams was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Navarro to Harvey LeRoy and Ella Elizabeth Honea Williams, and died Sept. 1, 2003, in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Fannie Mae Williams; sisters, Gladys Bradley; Ruby Wise; Louise Ipock; Rosie Williams; and brother, Roy Williams.
He worked for Connally Electric, Spencer's Hardware and Smith Motor Co. and owned Bob Williams Washing Machine Repair Service and Bob's Mobile Home Park. He served as a reserve deputy and reserve constable in the 1970s.
Survivors include his son, Robert Earl Williams, Elkhart; daughters, Elizabeth Jones, Gun Barrel City; Jerry Jane Williams, Chandler; and Danna McCall, Athens; brothers, Clarence Williams, Athens; Ed Williams, Friendswood; Donnie Williams, Canton; H.L. Williams, Childress; sister, Ann Hensley, Canton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Larry Dunn, David Earl Williams, Terry Dunn, Travis Stewart, Luther Williams and Robby McCall.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Johnson, John LeGard, Jeremy LeGard, Aaron LeGard, Robert Benton, Billy Meazell Sr., Robert Garner, Johnny Benton, Dewain Ipock, Mitchell Ipock, Donnie Payne, Chris Bland, James Setzer and granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

William Anthony Dean
Services for William Anthony Dean were held Aug. 30, 2003, at Cottage Heights Baptist Church in Kaufman with the Rev. Todd Peavy, Bill Hotten and Dan Baum officiating. Interment followed in Mount Olive Cemetery in Scurry, under the direction of Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman.
Dean was born Oct. 30, 1984, in Dallas to William Tracy Dean and Laura Ann Flurry.
He was a member of the Scurry Volunteer Fire Department and the Future Farmers of America. He was a senior at Scurry-Rosser High School, and worked for Janico Builders in Kaufman. He attended the Cottage Heights Baptist Church in Kaufman.
Survivors include his parents, Tracy and Angel Dean, Scurry, and Laura and Kevin James, Calif.; fiancee, Danielle McGee; stepbrother, Kyle Martin, Scurry; stepsisters, Diana Flurry, Kaufman; Tracey Martin, Scurry; and Misty Martin, Scurry; grandparents, Sammy Sloan; G.W. and Loretta Dean; Cathy Garrett; Gloria White; Robert Flurry and Barbara Waldrop; great grandparents, Vera Williams; Ioma Dean and Ida Roddy; aunts and uncles, Terry Dean; Melissa Dean; Rick Flurry; Paul Flurry; Amanda Martinez; Duke and Lance James; Chris and Sloan Taliaferro; Sheri and Doug York; and Cindy White; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Lawrence DeGraff III
Memorial services for Lawrence DeGraff III, 68, Tool, will be scheduled at a later date.
DeGraff was born July 27, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa to Lawrence and Elizabeth Foster DeGraff, and died Aug. 26, 2003.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962, and was a professional waterskier.
Survivors include his daughter, Merrill Sammons, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, David DeGraff, Trinidad; and C.H. Tim DeGraff, Rowlett; sisters, Diane Degraff, Tool; and Rosanne DeGraff, Dallas; and one granddaughter.

Jack Warren Combs Sr.
Services for Jack Warren Combs Sr., 83, Carrollton, formerly of the Cedar Creek Lake area, were held Oct. 14, 2003, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, with John Baker officiating.
Interment followed in Elm Grove Cemetery near Mabank, under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home.
Combs was born April 14, 1920, to Willis and Claudia Castle Combs and died Oct. 11, 2003, in a Carrollton nursing home. He was preceded in death by parents, wife, Violet May Combs, July 9, 2002, three brothers, Bruce, Raymond and Thomas Combs and four sisters, Ivy Pedigo, Mary Pedigo, Eletha Hill and Sybil Williams.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was employed at Foremost Dairies, bus driver for Malakoff ISD and a sales agent for National Life and Accident.
He also owned and operated J & B Collectibles and a janitorial service. He was a member of the Beacon Church of Christ in Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include his son, Jack W. Combs Jr., and wife, Pat, Wills Point; daughter, Cathrine Abercrombie and husband, Bill, Carrollton; sister, Ceciel Pollard, Austin; six grandchildren, Debera Welch, Bill Abercrombie Jr., Spencer Abercrombie, Julie Maynard, Sherry Culver and Josh Combs; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Billy W. Abercrombie Jr., Larry Welch, James Abercrombie, Roger Maynard, Joseph Herrera and Bill White.

Pearlie Penny Snow
Pearlie Penny Snow, 84, Tyler, died Oct. 10, 2003, in Tyler. There are no services scheduled at this time.
Arrangements are being handled by Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Snow was born July 12, 1919, in Italy.
She was a bank teller at Oak Cliff Bank & Trust.
Survivors include her step daughters, Betty Brown, Soper, Okla.; Marion Elwell, Hide Away; stepsons, Benny R. Snow, Rowlett; Desmond Snow, Soper, Okla.; Thomas L. Snow, Tyler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Skylar Dawn Harris
Services for infant Skylar Dawn Harris, Trinidad, were held Oct. 14, 2003, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ron Huckabee officiating.
Burial was in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Skylar was born and died Oct. 10, 2003, in Dallas.
Survivors include her parents, Shannon and Teresa Harris, Trinidad; brothers, and sister, Justin Poteet, Washington; Marc Poteet, Ashley Poteet and Tyler Harris, all of Trinidad; paternal grandparents, David and Sharon Harris, Kemp; maternal grandparents, Jo Ann Jones, Malakoff; and Wayne Jones, Sweetwater; great-grandparents, Horace Harris, Kemp; Mitch and Dot Mitchell, Mabank.

Alford McFarland
Services for Alford McFarland, 92, Athens, were held Oct. 11, 2003, at Rockhill Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Hill officiating.
Burial was in Rockhill Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., Tyler.
McFarland was born Sept. 14, 1910, in Evans Springs and died Oct. 3, 2003, in Athens. He was preceded in death by his wife, two grandsons, three brothers and one sister.
He attended Reese public schools and served in the Army and was a day laborer and a member of Rockhill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Jessie McFarland, Trenton; Larry Joe McFarland, Dallas; Oscar Lee McFarland, Mabank; and Alvis D. McFarland, Tyler; daughters, Bobby J. Smith, Fort Worth; Delta Moore, Linda Hall Wiley, Ernestine McFarland and Carolyn Frater, all of Athens; 36 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Calvin Patton, Johnathon Williams, Raymond Stevenson, Milton McFarland, Thomas Williams and Bobby Williams.
Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.

Charles Frances
Services for Charles Frances, 93, Malakoff, were held Oct. 11, 2003, at Antioch Baptist Church with Carl Woodward officiating.
Burial was in Steens Cemetery under the direction of Cain-Brown's Memorial funeral Home, Malakoff.
Frances died Oct. 5, 2003.
He was a chef at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas and a bus driver for Malakoff ISD. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Joyce Faye Randle, San Dimas, Calif.; and stepson, Donald Wayne Jones, Dallas.
Pallbearers were deacons at Antioch Baptist Church.

Ethel Lee Houts
Services for Ethel Lee Houts, 85, were held Sept. 24, 2003, at Heritage Chapel with the Rev. John Nixon officiating.
Interment followed at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Houts died Sept. 22, 2003, at DCH Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Houts, William and Maggie Snider and three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include nine grandchildren, a host of great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Ruth Houts, Gun Barrel City; sisters-in-law, Margaret Snider and Clarice Snider, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Pallbearers were Sonny Owens, Glen Houts, Danny Houts, Eugene Houts, Daniel Porter, James Epperson, Bo Howton and Ronald Holmes.
Honorary pallbearers were Fifth Floor Nursing Staff, Dr. Stephen Brown, Dr. Jo Wallace, Dr. Kathy Davis, Dr. Donnie Smith, The Trailblazers, friends at Clara Verner Towers, The Coner Girls at First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
