Mayme Dauchy Weber

Death: 01/01/2010
Mayme Dauchy Weber was born on August 1, 1919, in Fentress, Texas to the late Joseph Cullen Dauchy and the late Myrtle Woodward Dauchy. On New Year's Day, Mayme passed peacefully to be with Jesus and her family: sisters, Myrtle Offer (Lawrence), Lucyle Meadows (Buck), brothers, Joseph Cullen Dauchy, Jr. (Norma), and Roger Dauchy.
Mayme is survived by her daughter Suzanne Weber-Vordenbaum (Mike) of Fentress, daughter Karla VanZandt of San Antonio and son Carl Weber of Cedar Creek. She is also survived by her grandchildren who brought much joy to her life, Gary, Chris, Dalene, Carl, and Richard, her three great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Grace Dauchy, and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins and dear friends.
Mayme attended school in Fentress and San Marcos, followed by a long career in Civil Service retiring after many years of medical transcription at Wilford Hall Medical Center. She was privileged to grow up surrounded by family and friends, always ready for an adventure, swimming in the San Marcos River, dancing the Jitterbug or playing hours of Bridge or Bingo. Her passion was doting on her grandchildren, children, nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Mayme will feel a great void in their lives. She offered that sweet voice of reassurance, as well as wanting to provide acts of love. For example, "Nana" always insisted on feeding you, even if only there for a short visit, at any hour. We can give thanks for having had such a special loving person grace our lives.
We will celebrate Mayme's life on Saturday, January 9th at 11 A.M. at Fentress Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts to Fentress Methodist Church, Fentress, Texas, or the Texas Special Olympics.
The family wishes to thank Mayme's doctors, the staff of Regent Care of San Marcos and Hope Hospice for their loving care.
