Harry Thomas 'Tommy' Timmerman

ROCKDALE - Services for Harry Thomas "Tommy" Timmerman, 56, of Hearne and formerly of Rockdale are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
The Rev. John Warren of St. John's United Methodist Church in Rockdale will officiate. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Timmerman died Sunday at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
He was born in Cameron and lived in Hearne for 1 1/2 years. He lived most of his life in Rockdale and was retired after 31 years as unit supervisor with Alcoa in Rockdale. He was a 1967 graduate of Rockdale High School and a 1969 graduate of the James Connally Technical Institute of Texas A&M University. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. He received the Dalton E. Hamilton Certified Welding Inspector District of the Year Award in 2000 and the National Award in 2001. He served in the National Guard.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Wade and Edith Timmerman of Gause and James Ward Timmerman of Rockdale; a sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Billy Graham of Thorndale; a sister-in-law, Jean Timmerman of Arlington; his companion, Patsy Mannis of Hearne; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Russell Nobles
April 23, 1936 - July 8, 2005
NAVASOTA - Services for Russell Nobles, 69, of Navasota are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
The Rev. Donald Kasper of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Nobles died Friday in Navasota.
He was born in Navasota and was retired from Grant Prideco. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Nobles of Navasota; a son and daughter-in-law, James "Cut-Out" and Sandra Nobles of Navasota; four daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Harvey Leathart of Sealy, Denise and Mack Wells, Mary and Thomas Marek and Martha and Broderick Turner, all of Navasota; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Ernest and Artie Nobles of Washington, Vernon and Christine Nobles and Donald Ray "Shorty" and Jerri Nobles, all of Navasota, Joe Nobles of Corrigan, Thomas and Lois Nobles of Millican and Irving and Evelyn Nobles of Hempstead; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Ernest Moreland of Navasota, Georgie Pearl and Henry Roese of Washington and Effie and Albert Addicks of Brenham; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Evelyn Benson Schmidt
July 17, 1916 - July 10, 2005
BRENHAM - Services for Evelyn Benson Schmidt, 88, of Houston are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham.
The Revs. Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mrs. Schmidt died Sunday in Houston.
She was born in Verona, N.D., and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ellen Tompkins.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Schmidt of Houston; a son, Paul William Schmidt of Fort Lewis, Wash.; two daughters, Karen Bohls and Patricia Smith, both of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Ault of Jamestown, N.D.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund.
Thomas Castro
March 7, 1919 - July 9, 2005
NAVASOTA - Graveside services for Thomas Castro, 86, of Navasota are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Courtney Cemetery.
The Rev. Daniel Duron of First Hispanic Baptist Church in Navasota will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. Castro died Saturday in Navasota.
He was born in San Antonio and was a farmer.
Survivors include a son, David Castro; a brother and sister-in-law, Cruz Sr. and Refugia Castro of Navasota; a sister, Eufemia Valdez of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
Dodson
Jesse Wilard Dodson, 64, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003 at his residence.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Feb. 11 in Elm Grove Cemetery. Geeslin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dodson was born on Feb. 24, 1938 in San Vicente to Evelyn Morin and Dale Dodson. He had worked as a welder for many years and was also a veteran of the Army. Jesse was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his stepfather, Sotero Morin of Alpine; his three sisters, Delma Hammon of Saford, Ariz., Joyce Smith of Ohio and Mildred Thibodaux of Flatonia; his brother, William H. Dodson of Alpine; and his five nieces and nephews, Cory Thibodaux of Austin, Marilynn Barber of Houston, Nancy Hammon of Tempe, Ariz., Ronny Dodson of Alpine and Taylor Fulks of Columbus, Ohio.
Memorials may be made in Jesse's name to a charity of choice.
Evans
Patsy Diane Evans, 60, of Valentine passed away to be with our Lord on Dec. 13, 2002 at Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1942, in Colorado City.
She was self-employed, a home care provider. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Alpine Cemetery. Her parents, Irene Cape and William Cape, and her husband, Bill Evans, preceded her in death.
Patsy will be missed by many of her friends and family; her two daughters, Shari Hawkins and Shelley Boettcher, both of Alpine; her two step children, Hal and his wife Charolette of Balmorhea, and Nikki Word of Longview; her six grandchildren, Monica Hawkins and Tasha Carrasco, both of Alpine, Jason Word of Longview, Hayla Evans of Balmorhea and Shelby and Savannah Boettcher, both of Alpine.
