Gray, mother Carrie Ada McCarley; father, Thomas Jefferson McCarley; five sisters, Shellie Bagwell, Ann Tommie Singleton, Cecil (Bill) Johnson, Faye Cox, and Ruby Duvall; and granddaughter, Denise Gray Stone. She was born October 20, 1914 in Peacock, Stonewall County, Texas to Carrie Ada Brister and Thomas Jefferson McCarley, the youngest of six daughters.

Always a gracious host, welcoming all to her home. Though she will dearly be missed, we rejoice in knowing that one day, thanks to our Lord, Jesus Christ, we will all be reunited. What a joyful day that will be!
