Cynthia Marie Wiggins
Funeral for Cynthia Marie Wiggins, 53 of Center will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Watson and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M.C. Lantroop officiating. Burial will be in Whiterock Cemetery, Shelby County.
Wiggins died March 4, 2005, in her residence.
Born Jan. 28, 1952, in Center, she was the daughter of Walter and Annis Garland Stone.
She was married to Jerry Glen Wiggins, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Sherri Hagler and Shanna Wiggins, both of Center; son, Brandon Wiggins of Center; mother, Annis Stone of Center; sisters, Beverly Ford of Natchitoches, La., Gayla Windham and Jeneva Underbrink, both of Center, and Angela Blackwell of Timpson; brothers Danny Stone, Gary Stone and Shawn Stone, all of Center, and W.H. Stone of Lovington, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today.

Arthur Earl Wiggins
Funeral for Arthur Earl Wiggins, 67, will be at 10 a.m. today in the Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, Conroe, with Tyrone Mynhier and John Reeves officiating.
Burial will be in Copeland Chapel Cemetery, Conroe.
Wiggins died March 3, 2005, in Center.
Born Oct. 17, 1937, in Conroe, he was the son of Arthur and Almeda Wiggins.
He was retired from the oilfield supply industry.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Wiggins; sons, Keith Wiggins, Kyle Wiggins and Craig Wiggins; brother, Marcus Wiggins; sisters, Janette Brice, Dewana Stowe and Carolyn Knight; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.

Charles Wayne Dawson
Funeral for Charles Wayne Dawson, 52, of Corsicana will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, Center, with the Rev. Dennis LaFleur officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Joaquin.
Dawson died March 4, 2005, at Westside Developmental Center, Corsicana.
Born Sept. 5, 1952, in Logansport, La., he was the son of J.W. Dawson and Mary Dawson Anderson.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Center.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mary and Tim Anderson of Center; brother, Chester Dawson of Center; and sister, Vicki Jones of Carthage.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today.

George W. Rice
George Weldon Rice, 84, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away March 16, 2005.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches, Texas.
Dr. Allen Reed will be officiating.
Mr. Rice was born September 23, 1920, in Alto, Texas, to the late David C. and Lola Amanda Rice.
He graduated from Alto High School and attended Texas A&M University where he graduated with the class of '43.
He entered the U.S. Army Air Corps and flew over 50 missions in China, Burma and India during World War II.
He was a charter member of The Hump Pilots Club, which was composed of wartime veterans who flew over the Himalayan Mountains.
His wartime achievements include three Air Medals, The Distinguished Flying Cross and The Chinese Medal of Freedom.
After the war, Mr. Rice returned to Cherokee County and entered the dairy business.
In 1958 he joined the Texas Agricultural Extension Service and served as Nacogdoches County agent for 22 years.
He retired from the extension service in 1980 and joined Fredonia State Bank (now BancorpSouth) as vice president of agricultural development.
He retired from the bank in 1994. Among his numerous awards and honors, Mr. Rice was selected as the 2004 Pete Smith Agriculture Pioneer Award recipient and was also elected president of the Texas County Agriculture Agents Association in 1967.
Mr. Rice was an honored resident of Nacogdoches County, and his family and friends will miss him dearly.
George W. Rice is survived by Evelyn Rice, his wife of 61 years.
He is also survived by his children, Judy Carolyn Murchison, Danny Weldon Rice, Keith Kelley Rice and Johnny David Rice; and his grandchildren, C.W. Murchison, George Murchison, Andrew Rice, Jeff Rice, Michael Rice, Adam Rice, Kelley Ray Rice and Evelyn Rice.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Still, Carl Davis, Gordon Lewis, James Rice, George Wages and B.J. Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Thompson Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church and his grandchildren.

Mrs. Donnelly was born January 19, 1958, in Texas City, Texas, and passed away Friday, March 11, 2005, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband, David T. Addison Irby Pittman
Funeral for Addison Irby Pittman, 68, of Gilmer will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Beaty Funeral Home Chapel, Mineola, with the Rev. Johnny Dammon of Nacogdoches officiating.

Mr. Pittman died Thursday, March 17, 2005, in U.T. Health Center, Gilmer.
Born April 5, 1936, in Bowie, Texas, he was the son of Walter and Ethel Emfinger Pittman.
He was retired as a tool pusher from the oil field industry, and received the Million-Mile Safe Driver Award as a truck driver.
He was a Southern Baptist.
He was married to Dollie Mae Pittman April 14, 1956. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Laverne Pittman; and a brother, Oscar Robinson.
He is survived by his wife, Dollie Mae Pittman of Gilmer; two daughters, Christina Burgess of West Virginia and Pam Stokes of Nacogdoches; five sons, Johnny M. Pittman of Big Sandy, Donny Pittman of Winona, Ronnie Pittman of Gilmer, Monty Pittman of Gilmer, Patrick Pittman of Gilmer; five sisters, Dorothy Langley of Ben Wheeler, Bette Meyers of Commerce, Marlene Whitten of Tyler, Martha Croeel of Houston, Susan Ashmoore of Fort Worth; three brothers, Joe Pittman of Gladewater, James Pittman of Gladewater, Jesse Pittman of Fort Worth; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Holmes died March 17, 2005, in Good Shepherd Medical Center Hospital, Longview.
Born Aug. 15, 1911, in Carmona, she was the daughter of Ira Mitchell and Bessie Herndon Holmes.
She was retired from MONSCO Supply.
She leaves a niece, a nephew and cousins.

Glen Hilton Briley
Funeral service for Glen Hilton Briley, age 49, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday April 8, 2005, at Laird Funeral Home, with Bro. Garrel Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery.
Mr. Briley died Tuesday April 5, 2005, in Nacogdoches.
Born August 18, 1955, in Nacogdoches, he was the middle son of Thelma Kimmey and James Briley.
He was self-employed as a machinist and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Hilton loved traveling, fishing and barbecuing with his family. He and his wife, Karen, were married for eighteen years.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Darlington Briley of Nacogdoches; son, Derek Hilton Briley of Nacogdoches; daughter, Lacey Anne Briley of Nacogdoches; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Elise Briley of Nacogdoches, Victor and Tammy Briley of Nacogdoches; sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Harold Rapsilver of Nacogdoches.
