Eileen Gnavi, age 83, passed peacefully from this life to her eternal life surrounded by her loving family and friends on Thursday, October 13, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas.
Born February 23, 1922 in Granite City, Illinois, she was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church since 1986.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joseph Gnavi of San Antonio; daughters, Tina Collins and husband Dale of San Antonio, and Roberta Ward and husband Greg of Coppell; granddaughters, Carolyn Beebe of Dallas, Meredith Beebe of Austin, Jen Ward of Coppell; and grandson, Doug Ward of Dallas.

Julie Allen Ficke was the third daughter born to Hannah and Elias Allen in San Antonio, Texas.
It would be hard to think of Julie apart from her sisters, Mary Allen and Roseann Anderson, her lifelong companions.
Julie Allen graduated from Ursuline High School and after additional education worked in the medical field for over 40 years.
She was married
to John Charles Ficke in St. George Maronite Church.
Julie Ficke is survived by her sisters, Mary Allen and Roseann Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Recently, Aunt Dee was living with family. Even in her last days, Ms. Ficke formed a genuine friendship with Ms. Nanette Barrera, whose presence gave Ms. Ficke great joy.

William Raymond Field passed away after a battle with lung cancer on Saturday, August 20, 2005. Bill was born in Hortman, LA on March 18, 1929 to William Raymond and Irma Field. Bill, a loving husband, father and friend, enjoyed a 26-year career in the Air Force, where he received numerous honors, including the Meritorious Service Award, and was stationed in Washington, D. C., North Africa, Hawaii, and San Antonio.
He was a faithful member of the Northside Church of Christ, having served as a deacon and founding the Wednesday Morning Men’s Bible Class. He is survived by Norma, his wife of 52 years; daughter, Susan Mattison and husband, Richard of Rowlett, TX; son, William Raymond Field, III and wife, Blanca of San Antonio; granddaughters, Kristina Bielecki and husband, Adam, and Amanda Mattison; sister, Jane Shrader and husband, Dan; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Joseph Edward East, 22, passed away on August 8, 2005, in San Antonio.
He graduated from Reagan High School in 2002 and attended ACCD College before transferring to Texas Tech University, aspiring to be a football coach.
He was a devoted son, good friend, great brother, and doting uncle.
He is survived by his parents, Virgil and Mary Lynn East; his sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Donavin Harkin; his grandfather, Ralph O. East; 2 aunts, Valerie Domalgaski and Jean Geary; 2 uncles, Edward Moody and James Moody; a great-aunt, Christine Castillo, 2 nephews, Ryan Harkin and Chase Harkin, and numerous cousins.

Robert Lee Bobbitt III, died on Saturday, July 30, 2005.
He was born in Tyler, TX, on July 19, 1946.
He attended the Alamo Heights Schools and the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and chosen as a Woodrow Wilson Scholar, and received the Edward John Noble Scholarship for graduate studies in Ancient History at Columbia University.
He maintained his interest in this subject all his life.
He was employed for many years by Standard and Poor’s Corporation in New York, and returned to San Antonio to live in 2001.
Bob was cheerful and generous and loved his family and friends in New York and San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Calhoun Bobbitt, and is survived by his father, Robert Lee Bobbitt, Jr.; brother, Calhoun Bobbitt and Lynn Bobbitt and their children, Maura Jean Bobbitt and Elizabeth Kathleen Bobbitt; brother, John C. Bobbitt and his wife, Karen F. Bobbitt and their children, Nolan R. Bobbitt; Spencer Claire Bobbitt; and Caldwell Dixon Bobbitt, all of San Antonio; uncle and aunt, Judge Galloway Calhoun and Sue Calhoun, of Tyler, and their family.

James Roy Cowan (JR), age 87, went to be with the Lord the morning of August 15, 2005.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Alvin Cowan and Matty Melvina Barnett. He is survived by his sons, Danny and Tommy; one daughter, Tomi Kay; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. JR was born in Herrin, IL in 1918 and shortly thereafter, moved to San Antonio.
He retired from the railroad in 1983.
JR will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Rhollie Nix went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2005 at the age of 80.
He was born on July 21st, 1925 in San Antonio, TX.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church for 79 years, where he served as Board Member, Sunday School teacher, and sang in the Men’s Quartet and Choir. In World War II, he served for two and a half years in the United States Navy, in the Pacific as a deep sea diver.
He owned and operated Nix Alignment Service for 55 years, located at Brooklyn and Avenue E.
He loved gardening, boating, water skiing, snow skiing, riding his motorcycle, and most of all making memories with his family he loved.
Rhollie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene Nix; children, Jimmy Nix and his wife Linda, Ronnie Nix and his wife Jan, Terry Nix and his wife Barbara, and Rahlene Nix Luna and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Brent Nix, Crystal Elwell, Dustin Nix, Justin Nix, Spencer Luna, Tebra Nix, Shanae Nix, Brittney Luna, Raleigh Nix and Marshall Nix; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon, and Christa Nix; sister Bessie Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, R.C. and Annie Nix and sister, Mary Atwood.
