Died Aug. 14, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Brigadier General George K. Sykes passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2005.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, and a son, George, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Sykes and a brother, Donald Sykes.
Brigadier General Sykes was a West Point graduate with thirty years of service - he was a fighter pilot during World War II.
He also served during the Viet Nam crisis.
His last assignment was Vice-Commander of USAFSS at Kelly Air Force Base.
After retirement, he worked at USAA as President of the investment management company.
For several years, he served as President of the Board at Methodist Hospital.

Maria R. Padilla, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2005.
She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her beloved husband, Jesus G. Padilla; children: Terry Padilla and husband, Alan Karreman; John Padilla and partner, Louis Dominguez; Martin Padilla and wife, Alejandra; Carmen Padilla and husband, Ozair Ali of Dallas; grandchildren, Lester; Juan Alberto and Laura Padilla; best friend, Delores Prieto; sisters, Alicia Olivares and Aurora Pinedo; brothers, Raul Rubio and wife, Elena; Armando Rubio and wife, Margaret; Guadalupe Rubio and wife, Gina; and Enrique Rubio; also raised with her were Gilbert Ortega and wife, Gloria; Yolanda Almaraz and husband, Bob; Margaret Tovar and husband, Jesse; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria was very active with St. Jude’s Catholic Church Seniors Group.
She loved her work as a beautician and appreciated her friendships she had at Lackland Troop Beauty Shop.

Bobby Howard Hahn
Born on Dec. 17, 1949
Died Aug. 15, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Bobby Howard Hahn, age 56, of San Antonio, died Monday, August 15, 2005.
Mr. Hahn was a graduate of McArthur High School class of 1967. Bobby was a Captain of the State Semi-Finalist Football Club. He was a craftsman in wood, mechanics, cooking and et al.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ouida Fisher Hahn in 2002; and a brother, Jamie Hahn in 1997. Survivors: father, Howard Hahn; sister, Patricia Kotlan, all of San Antonio, TX; and 3 nephews.

George Andrew Leeah, Sr.
Born in Houston, Texas on Jan. 24, 1931
Died Aug. 16, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

George Andrew Leeah, Sr., age 74, passed away the evening of August 16, 2005 in San Antonio, TX.
He was born January 24, 1931 in Houston, TX.
George graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Business in 1958. He was a member of the Longhorn Marching Band, Showband of the Southwest and was true “Burnt Orange” all of his life.
George served two years in the U.S. Army. Shortly after, he began a long and successful career in Real Estate including serving as President of the San Antonio Board of Realtors in 1976 and as a TREPAC committee member for several years.
He has been a member of the San Antonio Executives Association since 1968, was President in 1981 and served as the Executive Director for 17 years.
He was a devoted Christian and a member of St. George Episcopal Church and its choir.
George loved golf, tennis, hunting and fishing. Above all, he was a loving husband a great father and a wonderful granddad.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly Ann Leeah; son, George Andrew Leeah, Jr. and wife, Anna, their children, John, Aaron and Marina; daughter Sheralyn Ann Leeah Wright; son, Travis Alan Leeah and wife, Melissa, their children, Drake and Nadia; brother, Charles Jefferson Leeah and his children, Sydney, Stephen, Laura, Ben and Dominic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, Ste 1100, New York, NY 10016.

Martha Rodriguez
Born in Zapata, TX on Oct. 27, 1936
Died Aug. 15, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Martha Rodriguez, 68, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2005, in San Antonio.
She obtained her Doctorate in Education at Texas A&M.; She was a proponent of higher education and taught school in Laredo, as well as with the San Antonio ISD, where she was a member of the faculty at Rhodes Middle School, Whittier Middle School, and Edison High School.
She is survived by 2 sons, Rene Rodriguez and Carlos Rodriguez; a daughter, Sandra Lotan; a brother, Ramiro Ramirez, Jr.; 2 sisters, Idalia Leal and Rosa Gray; 3 grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan, and Julia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 291048, San Antonio, TX, 78229.

Mary Margaret House Walden

Mary Margaret House Walden passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2005.
She was born on January 16, 1927 in Ibex, Texas.
She married Roger P. Walden on July 3, 1948. The family moved to San Antonio in 1969. Mr. Walden preceded her in death on February 14, 1981.
Mary was an avid golfer and member of the Breckenridge Ladies Golf Association.
She was a beloved wife, dedicated mom, grandmother, and kind and caring friend.
Mary is survived by two children, Roger V. Walden and spouse Jonni, Barbara W. Miller and spouse Woody; and grandson Zane A. Miller.

Robert Wayne Fox age 68, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 in San Antonio, TX.
Robert was born March 13, 1937 in Wooster, Ohio.
He was a Porsche mechanic in California for many years prior to moving to Texas after retirement.
Robert loved music and was a talented drummer. He was a member of the Western Swing Society, NRA and Moose Lodge.
Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Fox; son, Doug Fox; daughters, Karyn Fox and Sydney Lyons; six grandchildren; sister, Donna Rowell; brothers, Russell Fox and Everett Fox. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Charlotte Middlebrooks Ray
Born in Minden, Louisiana on Nov. 1, 1929
Died Aug. 13, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Charlotte was raised in southern Arkansas, where she met her beloved husband and partner, John L. Ray, in 1947, married in 1949, and spent 55 wonderful years with him. Their love for each other was a steadfast light throughout her life, and this love was shared with their four daughters, Mary, Becky, Jenny and Missy.
As the wife of a career military officer and university educator, Charlotte had her own career as the best mommy in the world, diplomat, bridge party hostess, Girl Scout leader, gourmet cook, camping guide, seamstress extraordinaire, wildlife expert, first aid provider, gardener and many, many other skills, all performed with perfection surrounded by endless love and joy.
Through countless moves around the U.S. and Europe, Charlotte made every house a comfortable, beautiful and loving home. She could accomplish anything she chose to do, and do it extraordinarily well.
When in her 40s, she returned to college to complete her bachelor's degree Cum Laude, and went on to obtain a Master's Degree with a 4.0 GPA.
Throughout her life, she was a devoted Christian woman and was a member of the caring community of University United Methodist Church.
Charlotte is survived by her loving and adoring husband, Johnny, and daughters Mary Overton and husband David Overton, DDS; Becky Holloway; Jenny Rosanbalm and husband Clifford Rosanbalm, and Melissa Isbell, MD and husband Patrick Isbell, MD. One of her most important gifts to us was to be the world's best Grandma to all of her grandkids: Stephanie and Glen Lewis (Jenny), John Overton (Mary), Rachel Holloway (Becky), and Nicholas, Cassie, Sean and Kayla Isbell (Missy). She is also survived by her brother, Charles and wife Mary Tom Middlebrooks and son Charles; sister Patricia Strickland and daughters Sharon Garrett and Cindy Strickland.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Charlotte's physicians, Dr. Emanuel DeNoia and Dr. Robert Shoumaker and Jesse, April, Carol and the other staff of Arden Courts for their concerned and compassionate care throughout Charlotte's illness.
