Martha Jean Lindley, age 70, of San Antonio, Texas died Thursday, December 25, 2003.
Mrs. Lindley had lived in San Antonio since 1971.
Martha was heavily involved with community activities, primarily concerned with underprivileged children. She had been an Elder of John Calvin Presbyterian Church since the mid '70’s. She was a member of the Assistance League.
Martha enjoyed traveling and her bridge club, and was loved and revered by her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brigadier General William C. “Sonny” Lindley, USAF (Ret.).
Survived by her children, Shannon McCarroll of Dallas and Michael Lindley and his wife, Lynn of Kerrville; grandchildren, Amy Lindley and Blake Lindley of Austin.

Edelmira M. Escamilla, age 64, of San Antonio, Texas died Thursday, December 25, 2003.
Edelmira was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose F. Escamilla.
Survived by her daughters, Maria Escamilla Cortez and husband, Manuel, Lourdes Escamilla Ramirez and husband, Max, and Domingo Escamilla Gonzalez and husband, Juan; sons, Jose F. Yvonne Peterson, born August 3, 1943, was received into Heaven on December 25, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Peterson; children, Peter A. Peterson and wife Elizabeth Ann; Charles De Lucie; Eric Peterson and wife Robin Marie; Kevin Peterson and wife Cristy; Eric Christianson and wife Leona; parents, Charles and Rose McClure; siblings, Kathy Bruno, Pat McClure, Mike McClure, Carroll Taggart; and grandchildren, Ashley, Jillian, David, Aaron, Justin, Michael and Kailey.
Yvonne was a member of Community Bible Church where she served as a lay counselor and leader of Celebrate Recovery, an addiction rehabilitation program. She was also a licensed vocational nurse for 35 years. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched in very special ways.
Irene Sybil Hickey

Irene Sybil Hickey, born into Eternity on December 23, 2003.
Irene was born to the late Elizabeth and Cecil Burrell in the coal mining town of Seaham Harbor, England.
She came over as one of the first war brides on the Queen Mary in 1946. She rejoined her first husband in Fort Worth, Texas. After Texas, she lived many places including Europe.
She is survived by five children, Valorie Parker of Nashville, TN; Rudy Bramlet of Houston, Cori Bramlet of Denver, CO, Veronica Lada of Germany, and Jamie (Hickey) Amelio of Singapore; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, the late James R. Hickey.
Irene lived in San Antonio for thirty seven years. Life was a party for the feisty red-head!
She will be sorely missed.
The family would like to invite all friends to Jamie Amelio's house in Lakeway outside Austin for lunch after the service.

Dr. Richard H. Oldfather

Dr. Richard H. Oldfather, age 74, of San Antonio, died Monday, December 22, 2003.
He was a member of the University Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and President of the Board of Ramparts.
Dr. Oldfather was an active member and Past President of the San Antonio District Dental Society.
He was an active supporter of Boysville.
He was also active in the Children’s Habilitation Center. Dr. Oldfather practiced Orthodontics in San Antonio for over 23 years.
Dr. Oldfather was all state center in Kearney High School, Kearney, Nebraska. He attended the University of Colorado in pre-dental studies. Following that he went to the University of Nebraska Dental School and then graduated and earned his Master's Degree in Orthodontics at the University of Iowa.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1955, stationed at Kelly AFB and Tokyo, Japan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marcia Oldfather and his brother, Charles Oldfather.
His golfing buddies for many years were Dr. A. Q. (Cush) O'Brien, Dr. Tubbs Raffkind and Dr. Ned Snyder. He loved hunting with his sons and his friends at his ranch in Carrizo Springs. When the boys were young he coached little league.
Survivors: wife, Jan; daughter, Anne Blankenship and husband, John, Tampico, Mexico; sons, Michael Oldfather and wife, Valerie, Boerne, TX and Thomas Oldfather and wife, Maritza, San Antonio; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Blankenship, Samuel Blankenship, Eric Oldfather and Matthew Oldfather; brother, Alan Oldfather and wife, Germaine; sister-in-law, Diane H. Oldfather; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mildred Elizabeth Mowbray (nee Maguire), born on February 19, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away December 27, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas.
Millie was a lifelong resident of Chicago and moved to Texas five years ago to be close to her family. Millie, a long time employee of the Metropolitan YMCA of Chicago, was an avid reader who loved history and travel. She enjoyed many hours of volunteer work at the Bensenville Home in Bensenville, Illinois.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bryce and Karen Mowbray of Houston, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Stephen McCorkle of San Antonio, TX; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Frances Maguire of Arlington, TX; eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Daniel Wesley Stevens, age 21, of San Antonio passed away Friday October 24, 2003, after a hiking accident in Joshua Tree National Park in California.
Danny graduated from Keystone School and was a senior at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA.
He is survived by his father, Charles S. Jesse L. Guerrero, born February 21, 1918, a devoted and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the age of 85.
Jesse was born in Maxwell, Texas and lived in San Marcos, Texas in his early years. He later moved to San Antonio, Texas.
He retired from the United States Post Office with 36 years of service. He was a member of Divine Redeemer Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and treasurer. He was a World War II Veteran.
Mr. Guerrero was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Connie C. Guerrero; his son, Arnulfo Cesar; and his grandson, Curtis Allen Guerrero.
He is survived by his five children Jesse R. Guerrero and wife, Florence, Norman W. Guerrero and wife Luz, Yvonne Harper, Janice Grant and husband, Stephen, and Sharon L. Guerrero; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild; one brother, Rodolfo Guerrero and wife, Rebecca; sisters, Zule Wright and husband Jim, Nelda Neuffer, and Billie Schriber; countless nieces and nephews.
He worked hard to support his large family. Thank you Dad, from all of us, for your support and guidance through the years. We know you missed Mom so much. Rest in Peace with your beloved wife, Connie.
