Bennie Lee Smith, born June 10, 1903 in Chickamauga, GA passed away June 4, 2003.
She was a long time resident of San Antonio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Martin Smith and her daughters, Goldie Johnstad and Mary Smith. She is survived by her son, John King; 8 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Eileen Dahl

Eileen Dahl, a resident of San Antonio since 1984, was born in Scranton, PA, on July 30, 1932, to Ambrose and Reinelda Mulderig, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2003.
As an opportunity to travel, she joined the Air Force during the Korean War, serving as a national recruiter.
Upon completion of her tour of duty, Eileen attended Ohio University, where she met her husband, Walter Dahl. They married Feb. 9, 1955, in Chicago.
After a 25-year career as the ultimate homemaker, traveling with her husband to his assignments across the country, Eileen began a new career at the Dallas Morning News as assistant sales manager of the Texas Almanac.
In 1984, she and Walt moved to San Antonio. Eileen enjoyed a highly successful career with the San Antonio Light from 1984 until its closing in 1993. As an account executive, Eileen won numerous awards, including the prestigious Hearst Corp. Publisher’s Eagle Award.
An accomplished cook, musician and gardener, Eileen joined Walt as longtime members of Sonterra Country Club, spending much time playing golf together. They also volunteered annually for the Texas Open and Champions PGA Tournament.
Eileen will be missed dearly.
Eileen is survived by her husband, Walter Dahl; daughter, Christiane of Fort Worth; son, Scott of Dallas; son, Timothy and wife, Sylvia of San Antonio; granddaughters, Gabriela and Valerie of San Antonio; sister, Ann Neary of Moosic, PA; sister-in-law, Betty Bonjour and husband, Steve of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Richard Dahl of Hendersonville, NC; plus numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and lifelong friends.

Stephen W. Fotis
Born in Lynn, MA. on Mar. 17, 1917
Died Apr. 27, 2006 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Stephen W. Fotis, age 89, of San Antonio, died Thursday, April 27, 2006.
Mr. Fotis was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and the AHEPA. He was born and grew up in Lynn, MA and was a graduate of Harvard University.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Clara Fotis; brother, Charles Fotis, Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Keith Jerome Daniels

Keith Daniels of Boerne, TX age 53 passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006. He was a graduate of St. Gerard’s Catholic High School in San Antonio in 1971; graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos.
He also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He was Senior Vice President of IBC for 15 years; also involved in numerous banking and charitable organizations.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son very spiritual and compassionate and loved by all because of his kindness.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Keith is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wanda Daniels; children, Kristine and husband Chris Tinsley, Justin Daniels, Kelly Daniels; grandchildren, Alyson & Caleb Tinsley; parents, Danny and Barbara Daniels; brother, Danny Daniels, Jr. and his wife Gayelyn; sister, Col. Dawn Smith and husband Frank; Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Mike Cowling; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jackson Fulton Hacker

Jackson Fulton Hacker, of Helotes, born March 7, 2003, passed from this earth to be with the Lord on June 3, 2003.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jerrie Hacker.
He is survived by his adoring parents, Brad and Jennifer Hacker of Helotes; grandparents, Mary and Norman Sowards of Boerne; grandfather, Lee Hacker of San Antonio; aunts and uncles, Robin and Javier Trevino, Stacey Atwood, Mitchell and Lorinda Sowards, Jon and Connie Sowards, Bobby and Wendy Sowards, Kay and Jim Mueller and Brenda Sowards; numerous cousins; other cherished loved ones include John and Amber James, and Melinda Tatum.

Bernice Gross, age 79, of San Antonio, TX, died Sunday, June 01, 2003.
She received her Master's degree from the University of Chicago in Adult Education and taught Interior Design.
She devoted much of her life to supporting her husband's career as a school superintendent and college president. They traveled extensively and collected Oriental art.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Calvin E. Gross.
Bernice is survived by her children, Gigi McEver of Oklahoma City, OK, Gary Gross of Charlotte, NC, and Glenn Gross of San Antonio, TX, as well as by eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Samuel Warren Cochran

Samuel Warren Cochran, USAF Lt Col (Ret.), PhD, age 81, of San Antonio, TX passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 5, 2003.
“Sam” was born August 1, 1921 in Wayne County Mississippi, the oldest of six children of Samuel Wilburn and Bessie Robinson Cochran.
He held a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mississippi College, a Master of Arts degree from Peabody College, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Ohio State University.
Colonel Cochran flew 72 missions in a B-26 airplane during WWII including participating in D-Day and culminating when his plane was shot down over enemy territory.
Dr. Cochran taught Psychology at the Air Force Academy, East Texas State University and University of Texas at San Antonio.
Throughout his life he was physically active. He enjoyed long-distance bicycle rides in the local area (including a trip across the United States in 1998) and bicycle racing in the Senior Olympics.
Sam was active in Southern Baptist churches throughout his life. He held many leadership and service positions in his home churches, most recently at First Baptist Church of San Antonio.
He was married to Pauline (Polly) Wingo Cochran for 48 years before she passed away in 1993.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Wilburn Cochran of Arlington, Virginia and daughter-in-law Cynthia Wiggins Cochran; daughter Suzanne Cochran Hening of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; son-in-law Richard Scott Hening; grandsons Andrew Neil and Samuel Morgan Hening.
Visitation Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM at the Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
Memorial Service Thursday 10:00 AM in the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel.

Amelia Gonzales

Survived by: her loving husband of 42 years, Gilbert Gonzales; son and wife, Oscar and Janet; daughter and son-in-law, Leticia and Daniel; daughter, Debbie; 11 grandchildren, Oscar Jr., Jay, Lisa, Richard, Vanessa, Joseph, Matthew, Tricia, Tania, Robert and Jonathan; 4 great grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Kassidy and Janet Marie; brothers, Alejos, Pilo and Jessie Trevino.
