Wyatt - Jones (2004-06-01)
Yellow symbolizes hope, and that is why Ashleigh Wyatt and Daniel Jones chose this color for their June 12 wedding.
"We have had hope for the past two years since we have changed our lives around," Wyatt wrote. "Since we have put our faith in Jesus Christ, we have hope. Without the hope and faith that we now have, we would not be where we are today. We have become much stronger in our relationship with the hope that we now have. We now strive to keep our walk with God first and foremost and then take care of each other."
The couple have been together seven years, Wyatt wrote, and in the past two years they realized their focus was not where it should have been. "Since then, we figured out that to be happy and have a healthy, loving relationship, we must keep our faith and trust in Jesus Christ," she wrote.
Both Wyatt and Jones are very involved in their families and their families have been supportive of their decision to marry.
"Family always has been and always will be a huge part of our relationship," Wyatt wrote. "Most of the time, a date to us is spending time with my nephews and sister, my mother, or spending time with his mom and dad. Throughout the rough times of our relationship, our families have been the ones behind us supporting everything that we did."
Wyatt wrote that their decision to keep Christ first has been the best decision they could have made.
"Besides each other, the two most important aspects of our lives are God and our families," she wrote. "Without the two of those, we would not be together today. It is amazing how strong a bond two people can have with the power of Jesus Christ and your families constantly supporting you and praying for you."
