Shannon Star Bailey of Vacaville, Calif., daughter of Patrick and Lesley Brooks of Loudon and Steve and Tina Bailey of Vacaville, Calif., was united in marriage with Matthew Craig Vaughan, son of Al and Jane Vaughan of Kingsport, May 22 at Tellico Village Community Church. Dr. Robert Puckett officiated.
Escorted by her fathers, Steve Bailey and Patrick Brooks, the bride wore a pure white, strapless, A - line gown with a four - foot - long train, a tiara and fingertip - length veil with rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of four dozen deep red roses gathered tightly together with rhinestones inside it.
Kimberly Barr of Tipp City, Ohio, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Karrie Smith of Maryville, Julie Grace of Maryville, Stefanie Bailey of Vacaville, Calif., and Kristen Bailey of Vacaville, Calif. They wore black chiffon, floor - length dresses with spaghetti straps and black beading from the sides to the midsection. The maid of honor carried a tightly gathered bouquet of red and white roses and the bridesmaids carried tightly gathered white roses.
Haley Grace and Cayla Grace were flower girls. Lane Garner was ring bearer.
Mark Vaughan of Kingsport and Michael Vaughan of Atlanta were best men. Groomsmen were Chad Bailey of Santa Cruz, Calif., Joe Wilson of Kingsport and Clint NeSmith of Charlotte, N.C.
A reception given by Patrick and Lesley Brooks and Steve and Tina Bailey was held at Rarity Bay. Assisting were Kelly Orren of Dandridge, Danielle and Jason Miller of Santa Cruz, Calif., Meg NeSmith of Charlotte, N.C., and Rita Knight of Charlotte, N.C.
After a wedding trip to Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple are living in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride attended Pellissippi State Technical Community College and is a recent graduate of the Aveda Institute in Charlotte, N.C., as a skin care specialist. She is a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines.
The bridegroom received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Tennessee. He works in medical sales in the Charlotte area.
The bride and bridegroom also own a sports and nutrition company.
Kristin Renae Roberts, daughter of Paul and Phylis Roberts of Lenoir City, was united in marriage with Scott Bradley Carroll, son of Robert and Valorie Carroll of Maryville, April 24 at Franklin Pavilion. Keith Johnson officiated.
The bride was escorted by her mother.
The bride's attendants were Jennifer Summitt and Kathleen Steed, both of Lenoir City.
Robert Carroll of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Greg Stanley of Rockford and Brad Wicks of Maryville.
The couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Lenoir City High School. She is pursuing an Associate of Science degree from Roane State Community College.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Heritage High School and has a degree in civil engineering from Pellissippi State Technical Community College. He works for the city of Alcoa.
Sarah Ann Swiney, daughter of Donald and Marcia Swiney of Bristol, was united in marriage with Michael Curtis Ashe of Maryville, son of Curtis Ashe of Tellico Plains and Debbie Ashe of Knoxville, Jan. 31 in Coronado, Calif.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Tennessee High School in Bristol. She is manager at Alltel Communications, Bristol, Va.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of William Blount High School and attends Pellissippi State Technical Community College in Knoxville. He is currently serving as a lance corporal with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion 24th Marines in Iraq in a one - year tour of duty.
Sarah Anne Blevens of Maryville, daughter of Dan and Anne Blevens of Walland, was united in marriage with Thomas Craig Minton Jr., son of Tom and Mary Ann Minton of Maryville, Feb. 28 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Greg Long officiated.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless white dress with pearl and crystal beading and a chapel - length train, sheer veil with pearl accents and a tiara with pearl and crystal accents. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Holly Belle Taylor of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Natasha L. Brewer of Knoxville and Veronica L. Valentine of Seymour. They wore long black dresses with spaghetti straps and carried bouquets of white roses and blue hydrangea.

Philip A. Catanach of Nashville was best man. Groomsmen were Trae Lane of Millen, Ga., Andrew Koskovich of Minnesota and Jem DeHay of Texas.
A reception given by the bride and bridegroom was held in the church fellowship hall. Debbie Ingle was assisting hostess.
The couple are living in Hawaii.

The bridegroom is on active duty with the United States Navy. He is a nuclear electrical technician and reactor operator.
