Carly White Covic, daughter of Craig and Carol Covic of Cordova, was united in marriage with Joseph Alan Ambler, son of Robert and Susan Ambler of Maryville, Aug. 9 at Advent Presbyterian Church, Cordova. The Rev. Dr. David Schieber officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Marsi Bellamy, Ginna Walker and Madeline Fallier.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory dress with pearls hand sewn into the bodice and along the edge of the train and a fingertip, sheet ivory veil pulled together by a wreath of pearls and small roses. Her bouquet was a bunch of cream, blush and burnt orange roses held together by a cream ribbon.
Christina Dresser of Marietta, Ga., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Claire Covic and Cybil Covic, sisters of the bride, both of Cordova, and Emily Henderson of Marietta, Ga. They wore champagne - colored dresses crocheted with pearls and carried bouquets of red blush and burnt orange roses.
Teresa Nicotera was flower girl. Josh Kuhsloss was ring bearer.
Brian Hellard of Knoxville was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Libell of Florence, Ala., Greg Gill of Knoxville and Chris Hixon of Clearwater, Fla.

The bride received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Agnes Scott College in May 2003 and is currently working on a Master of Arts degree in teaching English from Agnes Scott College.
