Their family includes their daughter and her husband, Debbie and Mike Greaser, and their son and his wife, David and Janice Gilland, all of Maryville. They have two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Gilland is retired from the Aluminum Company of America and Mrs. Gilland is retired from Proffitt's. They are members of Grandview Baptist Church. Luthers celebrate 60 years of marriage (2001-11-21) James D. and Merle M. (Jenkins) Luther of Maryville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 23 with family and friends. The couple were married Nov. 23, 1941 in Madisonville. The Rev. William E. Jelf officiated. Their family includes a daughter, Carol Luther of Maryville. Mr. Luther has been retired from the Aluminum Company of America since 1987, where he had been employed for 45 years. He is a veteran of World War II and Korea. Mrs. Luther is a homemaker. She taught school for a short period of time and also briefly worked at Miller's Department Store in Knoxville. Nicelys celebrate 50th anniversary (2002-03-27) Julius and Christine ``Chris" (Moore) Nicely of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2-4 p.m. April 7 at First Baptist Church, Maryville. They have eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
