Lee and Imogene (Blevins) Dotson of Greenback celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 27 with their family.
Their family includes children Delores Tipton of Vonore, Shirley Raulston of Maryville and Danny Dotson of Maryville. They have five grandchildren, Cameca and Travis Tipton, Tiffany Raulston and Samantha Jo and Casey Dotson.
Mr. Dotson retired from Carpenter Local 50 in 1989.
F.G. and Christine (Michalka) Karnowski of Alcoa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 21 with mass at 12 noon at Our Lady of Fatima Church. A reception followed in the Fatima Center Social Hall.
The Karnowskis were married
Sept. 25, 1952 in Cameron, Texas. The Rev. Arthur Michalka, brother of the bride, officiated.
Their family includes children Pamela Bryson of Bellevue, Mich., Cynthia Stuart, Frank Karnowski, Rebecca Weaver and Jerome Karnowski, all of Maryville, Jenifer Smith of Seymour, Kristina Hill of Bluff City, Mary Cooper of York, S.C., Thomas Karnowski of Knoxville and Eric Karnowski of Jamaica Plain, Mass. They have 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Karnowski is retired from the Aluminum Company of America. Mrs. Karnowski is a homemaker and is retired as organist from Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Mr. Karnowski is in Knights of Columbus and is a church usher. Mrs. Karnowski is substitute organist, is a member of Council of Catholic Women and a choir member. Both are members of 55+ Club and the Church Welcome Committee.
Harry and La'Verne (Dockery) Davis of Townsend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at Townsend Church of God. All family and friends are invited to attend.

Their family includes daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Roger Myers and Darlene and Randy Morris, all of Townsend, and sons and daughters-in-law Ray and Linda Davis of Townsend and Bill and Mellony Davis of Maryville. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Davis are retired. They are very active in Townsend Church of God.
Tom and Anna Ruth (Marshall) McSpadden of Maryville will observe their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception given by their family from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 29 at Calvary Baptist Church. The couple invites all their family and friends to come. They request no gifts.

Their family includes one son, Eugene McSpadden.
Mr. McSpadden retired from Rental Uniform Co. in Knoxville after 23 years of service. Mrs. McSpadden retired from Levi's after 25 years of service and is now employed by Blount Memorial Hospital.
They attend Calvary Baptist Church and enjoy Lady Vols basketball and Tennessee football.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. (Mabel England) Deere of Maryville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 30 with a family celebration.

Sept. 30, 1942 in Corinth, Miss. The Rev. Dr. T.W. Young, pastor of First Baptist Church of Corinth, performed the ceremony at the church parsonage.
Their family includes children Mike, Libby and Sarah Deere of Murfreesboro and Randy, Kathy, Laura, Lyndsey and Andrew Deere of Bowling Green, Ky. They have four grandchildren.
Mr. Deere is retired from the Agriculture Extension of the University of Tennessee. Mrs. Deere is a homemaker.
