James and Ruth (Lawrence) Glascock of Maryville celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Dec. 28 with a reception at Green Meadow Country Club.
The couple were married
Dec. 28, 1941 in Canton, N.Y.
Their family includes children Mr. and Mrs. William Glascock of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Glascock of Maryville. They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Glascock is retired from Aluminum Company of America. Mrs. Glascock is a homemaker.
The Rev. J.C. and Kate Bivens will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 17.
An anniversary celebration given in their honor will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at Ballplay Tabernacle Fellowship Hall on Highway 360, Tellico Plains.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Raymond and Estelle Tyler of Maryville will observe their 66th wedding anniversary Thursday.
The couple were married
Jan. 9, 1937.
Their family includes 10 children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who wish them a very happy anniversary.
Mr. Tyler is retired from Aluminum Company of America. Mrs. Tyler is a homemaker.
They are members of Maryville Church of Christ.
Henry and Dorothy (Yarber) Coltharp of Friendsville celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary Jan. 28.
The couple were married
Jan. 28, 1950 in McMinn County at the home of Rev. Duggan.
Their family includes son and daughter-in-law Tony and Eileen Coltharp of Andersonville and daughter Teresa Coltharp of Friendsville. They have three grandchildren, Richard Coltharp of Houston, Christopher Coltharp of Maryville and Chelsey Coltharp of Friendsville.
Mr. Coltharp is retired from Aluminum Company of America. Mrs. Coltharp is retired from the manufacturing industry.
Three of four Evans children are celebrating wedding anniversaries.
Mike and Jean of Knoxville are celebrating 25 years on Feb. 10. Their daughters are Annie and Stacy. Gary and Beth of Tallassee celebrated 25 years Jan. 28. Their son is John Cole. Pat and Fred Reagan are celebrating 10 years on Valentine's Day. Their combined family includes Stephanie and Nathan Bryant and their son Dakota, Tony Johnson, Tamara Reagan, Karri Boring and her daughter Kelsey.
The three couples will be honored at an informal open house to be held from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 2 at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Evans, 4825 Pea Ridge Road, Maryville. They request no gifts.
