Harold and Arbutis (Mellinger) McFall of Rockford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 5 at their home.

Sept. 5, 1944 in Newport.
Their family includes five children and eight grandchildren.
Mr. McFall is retired from Rockford Manufacturing Company. Mrs. McFall is retired from Rockford School Cafeteria.
Douglas Allen and Sharon (Whaley) Russell of Maryville celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Sept. 7.
The couple were married
Sept. 7, 1974 at Broadway Baptist Church. The late Rev. Gene Simerly officiated.
Their family includes children Elizabeth Brooke Russell and William Allen Russell, both of Maryville.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Russell are employed at ALCOA Inc.
Harold D. and Mary (Braden) Abbott of Maryville celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary Sept. 14.

Sept. 14, 1958 in Ringgold, Ga.
Their family includes son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Belinda Abbott of Maryville and daughter and son-in-law Lora and Mark Huffstetler of Maryville. They have two grandchildren, Kristi Abbott and Noah Huffstetler.
Mr. Abbott is retired from Blount County Schools. Mrs. Abbott was employed at Anchor Label Company.
Fred and Lorain (Leonard) Thurman of Alcoa will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 17.
The couple were married
Sept. 17, 1954 at the home of the bride's parents.
Their family includes children Rick and Karen Thurman, Dennis and Janet Thurman, and Bob and Sandra Hollifield, all of Alcoa. They have seven grandchildren.
Mr. Thurman is retired from the U.S. Post Office. Mrs. Thurman is a homemaker.
They are long-time members of First Baptist Alcoa. They enjoy spending time with their family, traveling and camping.
Ann and Andy King celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Aug. 6 at the home of special friends, Pamela and Randall Pickens of Louisville. Thirty-eight guests, many of whom had attended the wedding 25 years earlier, enjoyed dinner prepared by Pamela Pickens.
After dinner, guests enjoyed an evening of music, special presentations and funny stories. A three-tiered wedding cake made by friend Ellen Sayne was the focal point of the wedding table.
