Mr. Tipton is retired as self-employed owner of Tipton's Service Center. Mrs. Tipton is retired from Blount Memorial Hospital and Asbury Acres Retirement Center. Mr. and Mrs. Dupes married 70 years (2004-11-24) Thomas Henry and Zora Jerlean (Stephens) Dupes of Vonore will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a dinner on Mr. Dupes' 89th birthday Sunday in their home with their children and grandchildren. Mrs. Dupes will be 86 on March 13. The couple were married Nov. 30, 1934.
