Sharp - Clanton (2004 October 5)
Amy Elizabeth Clanton, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Larry Clanton of Greenville, S.C., was united in marriage with Christopher Matthew Sharp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Sharp of Maryville, Sept. 4 at First Baptist Church, Greenville, S.C. Dr. Tom DeVenny officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Barbara and Gayle Gulley, soloists, and Dr. Charles B. Tompkins, organist.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Emily Ross of Sarasota, Fla., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Clanton of Greenville, S.C., Katherine Casey of Kingsport, Erin Collins of Salem, Va., Diane Markham of Austin, Texas, and Wendy Trundle of Powell.
Mary Alston DeVenny was flower girl. Jameson Adams was ring bearer. Sarah and Suzanne Clanton kept the bride's book.
Phillip Sharp, father of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Tony Clark of Maryville, Mark Evans of Maryville, Scott Sharp of Maryville, Joey Meredith of Louisville and Greg Clanton of Athens, Ga.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at the church fellowship hall.
The couple are living in Memphis. A wedding trip to Jamaica is planned in December.
The bride is a graduate of Carson-Newman College with a degree in biology. She is employed at St. Jude Research Hospital.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Carson-Newman College and is now attending dental school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Lane - Pan (2004 September 27)
Hui Pan of Chengdu, China, daughter of Gao Manping of Chengdu, China, and the late Pan Ruisheng, was united in marriage with Mike Lane of Houston, son of Jacqueline L. Lane of Maryville and the late Dr. Richard A. Lane, March 19 in Las Vegas.
A banquet was held in Chengdu, China, celebrating the marriage with 100 family and friends attending.After a wedding trip to the Foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in China, the couple are living in Houston.
The bride received her secondary education at No. 12 Middle School and is a graduate of Shaanxi Normal University. She is employed by Sichaun Petroleum Administration, China National Petroleum Corporation, as a translator. She travels frequently to the United States and other countries with Chinese businessmen seeking trade for China.
The bridegroom received his education at Webb School of Knoxville and Everett High School in Maryville. He is a graduate of Auburn University School of Engineering.
He is employed and is vice president of Universal Ensco Inc. of Houston.

Moyers - Loftis (2004 September 14)
Tammi Moyers of Maryville, daughter of Mary Moyers and Bill Moyers, both of Maryville, was united in marriage with Justin Loftis, son of Addie and Nelson Loftis of Maryville, Aug. 27 at Embassy Christian Center. Will Barton and Charlie Denyer officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Shirley Streeter, Robert Cunningham, Connie Bach, TeAnna Geary and Sherry Hermann.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless, white satin dress with open back, beads and sequins on the bodice, and a chapel-length train with cutouts and lace and beads around each of them. Her veil was thigh- and elbow-length with beads and lace sewed on. Her bouquet was cascading blue morning glories and blue and white daisies with one rose, iris and tulip to represent her grandparents.
Jessica Hicks of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were TeAnna Geary, Tonya Stansbury and Terri Shamblin, all of Maryville. Junior bridesmaid was Kayla Miller of Maryville. They wore blue peach crepe, full-length, A-line skirts and sun tops with crystal beads at the waist. They carried bouquets of blue and white daisies and iris.
Ashleigh Geary, Jazmine Geary and Taryn Brooks were flower girls. Tyler Hicks was ring bearer. Cyndy Reno and Melissa Davis kept the bride's book.
Doug Sliger of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Loftis of Maryville, Philip Harmon of Greenback and Brian Stoutt of Maryville. Junior groomsman was Mickey Stansbury of Maryville.
A reception given by the family was held in the church fellowship hall. Assisting hostesses were Cindy Brooks, Melanie Davis, Peggy Price, Regina Miller, Jane Gracia and Mary Moyers.
After a wedding trip to Orlando, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is employed by Cherokee Millwright and Mechanics as the receptionist.
The bridegroom attends Pellissippi State Technical Community College. He is employed by Tennessee Drug and Alcohol as marketing director.

Norton - Lane (2004 September 14)
Laura Katherine Norton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Norton of Maryville, was united in marriage with Jeffery Dale Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lane of Knoxville, July 31 at Fairview United Methodist Church. Dr. Jerald Russell officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Jill Mertz, piano, and Tonya Bushnell, flute.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory, halter-style gown with a chapel-length train and elbow-length veil. Her nosegay bouquet was filled with multi-colored summer flowers.
Alice Richter of Carrollton, Ky., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a street-length, cornflower blue, linen dress and carried a miniature nosegay matching the bride's.
Sarah Richter was flower girl. John David Norton was ring bearer. They wore matching tan and ivory linen outfits.
Ronald Lane of Knoxville was best man.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at The Gift Garden & Café. Kristie Norton was assisting hostess.
After a wedding trip to Nigrel, Jamaica, the couple are living in Knoxville.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is employed by Northwestern Mutual.
The bridegroom attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is employed by RM Technologies.
