Christy Burns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bowman of Chesapeake, Ohio, was united in marriage with Daniel Cherry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cherry of Maryville, Dec. 7 in a candlelight ceremony held at Broadway United Methodist Church, Maryville. Dr. Jerald Russell of Fairview United Methodist Church officiated.
Music before and during the ceremony was provided by Carol Van Slooten of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Tanya Bushnell of Maryville, Wes Vincent of Pretoria, South Africa; Chloe Young of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and her son and daughter, J.R. Young and Laura McGirt, both of Durham, N.C. Gail Hafner of Maryville was the organist.
The bride wore a candlelight ivory Pronovias gown embellished with pearls and beadwork on the bodice and full skirt. She carried a winter bouquet of roses and carnations in shades of white and ivory.
Christine Harper of Warner Robins Air Force Base, Ga., twin sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Tammy Jessen of Murfreesboro was bridesmaid. They wore mocha floor - length gowns designed by Jim Hjelm and carried flowers that echoed the bride's bouquet.
Victoria and Gabrielle Harper, nieces of the bride, served as hostess and flower girl, respectively.
Cpt. John Cherry of Mainz, Germany, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. James Hill of Houston was groomsman.
The bride and bridegroom hosted a reception at the Maple Leaf Lodge, Townsend. The couple entered the lodge under eight arched sabers wielded by Army officers, friends of both the bride and bridegroom.
The bride is a graduate of Augusta State University in Georgia and currently serves as a U.S. Army Captain, Military Intelligence, stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas.
The bridegroom grew up in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and currently serves as a Special Forces Captain at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
Following a wedding trip to the Cayman Islands, the couple returned to their respective duty stations.
Kimberly Marie Garmeson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Garmeson of Alcoa, was united in marriage with Robert Hilding Kermode of Orlando, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kermode of Terra Ceia, Fla., Oct. 12 at Monte Vista Baptist Church. The Rev. Greg Price officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Cathy Justice, piano; Mamie Sullivan, organ; Mike Taylor, trumpet; Jack Southard, guitar; and soloists Lisa Russell, Sarah King and Bobby Whedbee, brother - in - law of the bride.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless dress of white satin with pearls and sequins accenting the bodice and skirt. Her fingertip veil was edged with satin and banded with pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of roses in fall colors of yellow and orange accented with white roses and ivy.
Kristin Kimball of Hawthorne, Fla., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Moore, Sabrina Damrow and Kelly Whedbee, all of Alcoa, and Beth Garmeson of Maryville. They wore sleeveless, princess - style dresses of indigo satin and carried long - stemmed yellow roses.
Katie Sherridan, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Valerie Huff kept the bride's book.
Brett Kermode of Terra Ceia, Fla., was best man. Groomsmen were Bob Lewis of Chicago, Jamie Dipalma of Coppell, Texas, Jeff Morgan of Johnson City and Danny Richani of Wilmington, N.C.
A reception given by Joyce and Reg Garmeson was held at Royal Oaks Country Club. Assisting hostesses were Kate Roberts and Leslie Huffine, cousins of the bride.
After a wedding trip to the Grand Cayman Islands, the couple are living in Orlando.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and is employed with CORA Rehabilitation Clinics of Orlando.
The bridegroom is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and is employed as practice manager for an orthopedic surgical group in Orlando.
Maryann Louise Rozinsky of Peachtree City, Ga., daughter of Frank M. Rozinsky and Diana Mondale, both of Coraopolis, Pa., was united in marriage with Aaron JoMichael Beasley of Peachtree City, Ga., son of Brickey and Kathie Beasley of Maryville, Dec. 17 at Heartland Little River Chapel in Townsend.
The bride was escorted by her mother.
Maria Beasley Willard of Maryville, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor.
Brickey Beasley of Maryville, father of the bridegroom, was best man.
A reception given by the bride and bridegroom was held Dec. 21 at their home in Peachtree City, Ga.
A summer honeymoon trip to Alaska is planned.
The bride is a graduate of Moon High School in Coraopolis, Pa., and of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in Pittsburgh. She is employed as an aircraft mechanic with Delta Air Lines.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Maryville High School and of Embry - Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. He is employed as an aircraft mechanic with Delta Air Lines.
Shanna Ruth Welch of Rockford, daughter of Diane Welch of Rockford and Coleman Welch of Louisville, was united in marriage with Richard Clark Stover, son of Richard Stover of Raleigh, N.C., and the late Page Stover, Nov. 23 at Broadway Baptist Church. Dr. Bob Brown and the Rev. Matt Smith officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by vocalists Laura Smith, Dwight Campbell and Jason Brown and pianist Bobbie Shoun.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless Carole Hai gown covered in opalescent crystals and seed pearls. Her heirloom fingertip veil was designed by her aunt, Sandra Hitson. The bride carried a cascading arrangement of white and amethyst calla lilies, stephanotis and roses.
Sabrina Leslie of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Teresa Rogers of Louisville, Tasha Dunaway of Louisville, Leah Barringer of Rockford and Elizabeth Langfahl of Ann Arbor, Mich. They wore complimentary strapless gowns in deep amethyst and lavender and carried long - stemmed amethyst and white calla lilies.
Anna Schaad and Chelsea Stephens, cousin of the bride, kept the bride's book.
Lisa Schaad served as wedding coordinator.
Richard Stover of Raleigh, N.C., father of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Webb of Charlotte, N.C., Elijah Lawrence of Raleigh, N.C., Alan Broughton and Joshua Welch of Rockford.
A reception given by Kirk and Lisa Schaad and Diane Welch was held at the church. Assisting hostesses were Kathy Murrell and Noel Davis. Music was provided by Jason Brown.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple are living in Raleigh, N.C.
