Peggy HARBISON
Peggy Harbison, 67, of Nashville died April 26, 2005. She was a member of West Meade Fellowship.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lula (L.E.) Evans, brother Wilford Evans and sister Elizabeth Satterfield.
She was a devoted wife and mother who is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Bill Harbison; son Michael David Harbison; brothers, Terry (Joyce) Evans, Don (Becky) Evans, several nieces and nephews; and a host of many very close friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:30 a.m.. Thursday, April 28, 2005, at West Harpeth Chapel with Rev. Michael Bates officiating.
Interment was at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Family and friends were active pallbearers; honorary pallbearers were the Elders of West Meade Fellowship and the Warm Hearts Caregivers.
West Harpeth Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Patsy HARP
Patsy Harp, 81, of Louisville, Ky., died Friday, April 29, 2005.
A native of Maryville, she was the youngest of seven children of James and Jessie Sturgeon.
She was a retired employee of the U.S. Census Bureau, a volunteer for The Salvation Army, a scratch bowler, having won several national bowling championships and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
In her youth, she was a basketball player of note, even playing semi-pro basketball in Louisville.
She was a lover of life, family and children and a loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Harp; her brother, James; and sisters, Georgia, Jean, Mildred, Mary Charles and Virginia.
Survivors include her children, Cynthia Box of Louisville, Ky., and James P. Harp of Ashland City; grandchildren, James Matthew Harp, Tammy Lynn Finn, David Box, Pattie Carroll and Richard M. McCracken Jr., great grandchildren, William Austin Finn, Landon Sizemore, Cameron Dalton Carroll, Kenwood Dawson Carroll and Jordon Box.
A graveside service was conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Joseph Robert ELLIS
Joseph Robert "Trick" Ellis, 86, of Cedar Hill, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at North Crest Medical Center.
Mr. Ellis was born July 31, 1918 in Robertson County to the late Henry and Minnie Mae Ellis.
He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie Mae Farmer Ellis; two brothers, Vernor and Herman Ellis and a great granddaughter, Judith Sloan Bracey.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Shearon Ellis of Cedar Hill; daughter, Brenda Pardue of Cedar Hill; granddaughters Lori (Lynn) Bracey and Jennifer (Jason) Ellis of Cedar Hill; sister Carlene Martin of Centerville and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m. at Head's Church, with Bro. David Outlaw officiating.
Interment followed at Head's cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Brady, Mark Ellis, Tony Ellis, G.W. Hunter, Jr., Ralph Meadows, Brian Reynolds, Jay Walker and Kevin White.
Honorary pallbearers were from the men and women's softball team at Heads Church.

Jerry D. HEATH
Jerry D. Heath, Nashville, died at Alive Hospice April 26, 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry C. Heath of Charlotte; his sister, Mildred Lane of Lakeland, Fla.; and his brother Robert Allen Health of Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife, Dot Heath; his daughter, Gerry, his son-in-law Mark Householder: sisters, Jean Nichols and Lorene Damron of Nashville and his brother Billy Ray Heath of Charlotte.
He was a kind, loving and humble man who started his journey many years ago of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He was a lifelong Methodist and member of the Bellsburg Methodist Church, but for many years has been a regular at Bellevue Community Church.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a very energetic person who enjoyed his work as much as his leisure.
He enjoyed nothing more than working in his real estate business and walking the land.
He was born and raised on a farm and had a great appreciation for the land and loved the sowing and reaping of the harvest.
He was able to apply the biblical sowing of seeds to his own life as he believed if you sowed good seeds you would reap a bountiful harvest.
He said many times that his harvest was overflowing as he considered himself to be one of the most blessed on this earth.
He was diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2004 and never once complained, always saying what a wonderful life he had lived and that he would not have changed places with anyone.
He spoke of his approaching death many times and spoke of the peace he felt.
He said he was prepared to die, only regretted leaving those he loved.
His wife, daughter, and son-in-law were the loves of his life.
His passion was fishing and he was fortunate to have spent his winters in Vero Beach for the past 20 years where he fished the beautiful Blue Cypress Lake.
He enjoyed bringing his catch home and sharing with family and friends.
He had many friends in Vero Beach, as well as home.
He was a good communicator and found it easy to express his love for those in his life including family and friends.
He often spoke of his son-in-law Mark as being like his own and was very proud of his children.
He died with the same courage and dignity as he lived his life.
He was greatly loved by many and will be sadly missed.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, April 29, 2005, at 1 p.m., from the chapel of the Cheatham County Funeral Home, Ashland City, with Dr. Rubel Shelly of Woodmont Hills Church of Christ officiating.
Burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery, Ashland City.
Pallbearers were Shane Heath, Randall Damron, Dave Burke, Eddie Lawrence, Michael Groves and Larry Parris.
Honorary Pallbearers were Sam Balthrop, Neil Robertson, Dr. Mike Callaway, Earl Thomas, Everette A. Covington, Hadley Williams, Jr., Joe Middleton and Tommy Hare.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Donald Ray HUNTER
Donald Ray Hunter, 40, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2005.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, John A. Hunter.
He is survived by his mother, Nonnie Hunter of Ashland City; daughters, Jamie Pegg of Ashland City, Tiffanie Hunter of Alabama; brothers, John (Connie) Hunter of Ashland City, Barry (Sandra) Hunter of Mississippi, Joe (Robin) Hunter of Ashland City, Eddie (Debbie) Hunter of Knoxville; a sister, Theresa (Harlan) of Indiana.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 30, 2005, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Sellers officiating.
Burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery, Ashland City. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
