J.D.Evans, 79, of Pleasant View, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital. Mr. Evans was born Oct. 2, 1924, in Montgomery County to the late Lauren and Gladys Walker Evans. He was a farmer and a member of Martins Chapel United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be conducted today, Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Cheatham Memorial Gardens with Rev. Theodore Pagel and Rev. David Royalty officiating.
Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lynn Evans Walker.
He is survived by wife, Dortha Evans of Pleasant View; son, Hal Evans of Pleasant View; stepdaughter, Beverly Nicholson of Pleasant View; sister, Jessie Bradley of Clarksville, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Anna Georgia Reeves
Anna Georgia Reeves, 95, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at her home in Ashland City.
She is survived by her son, Donald (Pat) Rose of Madison; two daughters: Elsie Rose of Tuson, Ariz., and Bettie (Wes) Booker of Charlotte; stepson Dowell "Junior" (Glenva) Reeves of Ashland City; devoted friend C.E. Myers of Ashland City; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lenora Stuart Binkley; husbands: Frank Rose and Melvin Reeves, three sons: William Franklin Rose, Raymond Dean Rose and James Howard Rose, daughter, Margaret Withrow.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. William Todd Rose officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Internment was in the Forest Hill cemetery in Ashland City.
Boyd Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
Gladys M. Adams
Gladys M. Adams, 64, of Fairview passed away on Feb. 11, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Adams.
She is survived by sons: Gary Jones of Murfreesboro, James Adams of Fairview; daughters: Vickie (Jimmie) Cross of Georgia, Melissa (Bruce) Gillette of Fairview, Beverly (Eddie) Valentine of Kingston Springs; brother: Franklin (Mary Lou) Meadows of Ashland City.
Services were held Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Hutcheson officiating. Burial was in Little Rock cemetery, Hickman County. The family served as pallbearers.

Will Ellis Dowdy
Will Ellis Dowdy, 70, a retired truck driver died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. He was an U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Grieb Dowdy of Ashland City; one son Ernie (Jill) Dowdy of Hendersonville; two daughters, Dorothy Dowdy of Hendersonville, and Nancy Schietz of Atchison, Kan.; four grandchildren, Laura, Mathew, Chelsie and Charity Dowdy and a host of close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy Prichard Dowdy.
A visitation/memorial service was held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Boyd Funeral Home followed by a private internment.

Maude Newman
Maude Newman, 87, of Pleasant View passed away at her home Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004. She was born May 16, 1916, in Davidson County, the daughter of the late Walter Glen and Sallie Malissa Overcast Allen. Mrs. Newman was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Baxter Newman.
She is survived by daughters: Elizabeth Cathy (Wallace) Louallen, Ashland City; Gracie Malissa Krantz, Pleasant View; Margie Louise (Wayne) Tidwell, Hickman County; sons: William Glen Newman, Illinois, Kenneth Wayne Newman, Pleasant View; 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Binkley, Ashland City; brother, Jimmy Allen, Illinois.
Services were conducted at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at 3 p.m. with Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating; burial in the Friendship Free Will Baptist Church cemetery.

Linda Maureen Page, 56, a self-employed interior designer, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City, Tenn.
She is survived by her mother, Angel Fay Wagner Might of Pryor, Okla.; daughter, Vanda Laureen Jones of Ashland City, Tenn.; and a host of close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lawrence Haywood.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Boyd funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Lowman officiating. Friends served as pallbearers. Interment
was in the Felts cemetery in Ashland City.

Peggy Jean WARD
Peggy Jean Ward, 69, died Monday, March 22, 2004. She was retired from Am-South Bank.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Ward.
She is survived by husband, Joe Ward; daughter, Lisa (Doug) Gleaves; son, Michael Ward; grandchildren, Shane, Ashley, Kerri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, with Bro. Floyd Reynolds officiating. Pallbearers: family and friends; Interment: Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Barbara Johnson WYNN
Barbara Johnson Wynn, 67, Yuma, Ariz. (formerly of Ashland City) passed away peacefully early Saturday Morning, March 20, 2004, of esophagus cancer at her home. She was the owner of two Blimpie locations in Yuma.
Services were held Thursday, March 25, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center, Yuma, Ariz. Interment: Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of Mrs. Burneta Johnson Neeley, who taught sixth grade at Ashland City Elementary School.
She is preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Johnson (1966), her mother, Ms. Burneta (2002) and her brother, Randy Johnson (2003).
Her only sibling survivor is Jeannine Johnson, a resident of Ashland City.
She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Harold Tom Wynn; three grown sons: Todd and Paul of Arizona and Chris of New York City; two grandchildren; all are deeply saddened by the loss of a precious lady.
Johnson Mortuary, Yuma, Ariz., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Cherie Alice (Peters) PERELLA
Cherie Alice (Peters) Perella passed away at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville on July 21, 2004. Cherie was 84 years old. She lived in Akron, Ohio, for most of her life, but also lived in Nashville and Cheatham County for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dessie (Fortny) Peters; father, Louis Harrison Peters; sister, Isobel; and brothers, Debs and Kent. She was married
to the late Kenneth Hargreaves (long deceased). Her second husband Benjamin Gerald Perella passed away in 1970.
She is survived by her sister, Anna; her brother, Jack; her daughters, Jacqueline, and Bonita; two sons, Jerry and Daniel. Her grandchildren are Kenneth John, Kevin Kristopher, Alisa Cherril, Casey James, Angela Marie, Antonio Gerald, Michael Louis, Misty Daniel, Wendy Brooke, and Benjamin Kimbal.
Her great-grandchildren are Nicholas Anthony, Brandi Nicole, Maranda Laray, Mckayla Brooke, Anthony Michael, Larry Dale, Bionca Page, Ayla Daniel, Avery Grace, Adam Cole, Robert John, and Kristopher Keith. She also had lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her remains were cremated at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home in Nashville. A memorial service was held in Dickson, Tenn., on July 27 at 5 p.m. at The First Assembly Of God at 3515 Hwy. 70 West in Dickson. Pastor Dave Deerman officiated. Her ashes are to be placed upon the graves of her loved ones who preceded her in death.
She was born on May 7, 1920, in West Virginia, at her parents' home. During her youth, she was a writer, a fashion designer, and an artist. She worked in a defense plant in Akron, Ohio, during WWII.
Her father worked as a coal miner, a house builder, and once owned a movie theatre and a lumber mill. Her brothers all served in WWII.
Cherie's sense of humor, devotion to her kids, and love of little children were her trademark.
A very SPECIAL THANKS goes to the staff at Hospice, and to my wife Mary, and to Angela and Mike Wheeler for their kind devotion and love displayed to my mother. They stayed at her side around the clock.
Cherie Alice Perella crossed-over from this world to the next with dignity and reverent beauty. Her riches of the heart will be sadly missed by us all. We're her living legacy.
