ROYCE W. VON LANKEN
Royce W. Von Lanken, age 77, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Von Lanken was born April 14, 1931 in Oakland, IL. He attended Faith Independent Baptist Church in Grimsley. He was retired from the State of Wisconsin and he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Von Lanken is survived by wife, Norma Von Lanken of Jamestown; four sons, William Von Lanken and wife Carole of MT, James Von Lanken and wife Debbie of GA, Scott Van Lanken and wife Shellie of CO and John Von Lanken of Jamestown; daughter, Beth (Von Lanken) Williams and husband Donnie of Jamestown; ten grandchildren; sister, Jean Goldner and husband Joseph of SC; sister-in-law, Linda Larson and husband Richard of IL; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
Mr. Von Lanken was preceded in death by father, William Von Lanken; mother, Loleta M. (Frahm) Von Lanken; two brothers, Lynn Von Lanken and Elwyn Von Lanken; and sister, Margie Von Lanken.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Dodson officiating. Burial followed in the Tinch cemetery. Pallbearers included Matthew Williams, Joshua Williams, Anthony Williams, Colt Von Lanken, Brett Von Lanken and Richard Larson.

HOWARD J. LOWREY
Howard J. Lowrey, age 76, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, KY.
Mr. Lowrey was born April 2, 1932 in Little Crab, Tennessee. He was a professor in Industrial Education and Technology at Western Kentucky University for 30 years. He was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, where he served as a Sunday school superintendent for many years. He taught Sunday school, served on a variety of committees and served on the Kentucky District Advisory Board and Board of Trustees for Trevecca Nazarene University. He was president of the Kentucky District Nazarene Laymans Organization and served in the Air Force as a staff sergeant in the Korean War, Japan and England. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Mr. Lowrey is survived by wife of 56 years, Betsy Ross (York) Lowrey of Bowling Green, KY; two sons, Barry Payne of Union Mills, IN and Bryan Payne and wife Debby of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren; two sisters, Eula Delk of Muncie, IN and Dean "Polly" Payne of Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lowrey was preceded in death by father, Jonah D. Lowrey; mother, Ona (Conatser) Lowrey; four sisters, Nora Pierce, Lola Gunter, Flossie Crockett and Helen York; and four brothers, Dudley Lowrey, Walter Lowrey, Donald Lowrey and Frank Lowrey.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Wolf River cemetery. Pallbearers included Barry Payne, Bryan Payne, Blake Payne, J.C. Gunter, Junior Gunter and Jeff York.

CORA STEPHENS
Cora Stephens, age 80, of Grimsley, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Signature HealthCARE in Jamestown.
Miss Stephens was born December 16, 1928.
Miss Stephens is survived by brother, Oliver Stephens of Grimsley, TN; and sister, Eveline Stephens of Grimsley, TN.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Hatfield officiating. Burial followed in the Martha Washington cemetery. Pallbearers included Ronnie York, Dickie York, Gene Owens, Ward Beaty, Al Byrd and Kevin Norris.

BILLY STRAND
Billy Strand, age 38, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
Mr. Strand was born December 31, 1970 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was a LPN for Jamestown Regional Medical Center and Signature Health Care. He was a member of the Jamestown First Baptist Church.
Mr. Strand is survived by mother, Margaret Strand of Jamestown; brother, Eddie Strand and wife Christy of MI; five step-brothers, Rickey Strand, Danny Strand, Robert Strand, Stephen Strand, and Kevin Strand all of MI; two step-sisters, Tammy Strand, Tonya Strand both of MI; aunt, Lillie Crisp and husband Charlie; two uncles, Buck Wright and wife Patricia and Jr. Wright and wife Brenda; and a host of cousins and friends.
Mr. Strand was preceded in death by father, Earl Strand; and grandparents, Oplis and Lizzie Wright and Alfred and Blanche Strand.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Rhoad officiating. Burial followed in the Upchurch cemetery. Pallbearers included Mike Stephens, Charlie Crisp, Jeff Crabtree, Buck Wright, Eric Hunter, Eddie Strand, Chris Watson, Johnny Mills and Junior Wright.

VERGIE COOPER LEDFORD
Vergie Cooper Ledford, age 77, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Cooper was born January 2, 1932 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher in the pre-school department for over thirty years.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by daughter, Margie Bennett and husband Charles of Lebanon; granddaughter, Angela Bennett Jarvis of Lebanon; four sisters, Betty Claiborne and husband James, Nannie Cobb and husband Jack and Fannie Beaty and husband Luther all of Jamestown and Neatie Gore and husband Carl of Livingston; four brothers, Arlie Cooper and wife Ena, Shelly Cooper and wife Sandra all of Jamestown, Brite Cooper of Livingston and Lannie Cooper and wife Sandra of Lebanon; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Janice Ledford of Lebanon; and sister-in-law, Edith Sells of Livingston; special friend, Shirley Zachary of Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Ledford; and parents, Tilford and Rena Smith Cooper.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Ellis officiating. Burial followed in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers included Jeff and Derrick Ledford, Jamie and Joey Conatser, Ronnie, Ricky and Brian Cooper, Dennis Jewell and Scott Gore. Honorary pallbearers include the Pre-school Department teachers of Immanuel Baptist Church.

DEVIN NEALEY
Devin Nealey, age 20, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
Mr. Nealey was born August 16, 1988 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was a student at Middle Tennessee State University. He was in the Army National Guard.
Mr. Nealey is survived by mother, Lisa (Stinson) Robbins and husband John of Jamestown; father, Archie Nealey and wife Kim of Crossville, TN; two brothers, Dillon Wayne Nealey of Jamestown, TN and Jacob Nealey of Crossville, TN; grandparents, Eva Jane Stinson of Kentucky and Martha Bright of Oregon; step-grandparents, John and Zona Robbins of Oliver Springs, TN; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Mr. Nealey was preceded in deathy by grandfather, Leonard Stinson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Cox officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memory Gardens. Pallbearers included Archie Nealey, Dillon Nealey, Larry Davis, Tyler Cox, Micheal Avery, Casey Conatser and Daniel Bumbalough. Military pallbearers at graveside were members of his unit.

Diana Lynn (Smith) Rich, age 62, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Rich was born April 28, 1946 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rich is survived by daughter, Debra Smith and husband Jerry of Jamestown; two sons, Nicholas Threet and wife Rebecca and Darryl Threet both of Jamestown; five grandchildren; two sisters, Vonda Robertson and husband Dennis of Alabama and Gail Hyder and husband John of Crossville; and nephew, Troy Smith and wife Clara of Alabama.
Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by husband, Glen Rich; father, Tilford Smith; mother, Geneva (Atkinson) Smith; and nephew, Bobby Brannon.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Shayne Monday officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers included Troy Smith, Chad Pritchard, Christian Threet, Larry Howard, Jerry Richards and Adam S. Beaty.

DON L. ROBBINS
Don L. Robbins, age 58, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.
Mr. Robbins was born April 12, 1950 in Harriman, Tennessee. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Robbins is survived by wife; Charlene Hall Robbins; son, Jason Robbins of Crossville; two daughters, Donna Robbins of Deer Lodge, and Kayla Robbins of Jamestown; grandson; Jayden Gunter; sister, Marilyn Robbins of Deer Lodge; brother, James and wife Carmen Robbins of Deer Lodge; one niece; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Robbins and Veachel Shannon Robbins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday February 25, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Schubert Funeral Home, with Pastor Phillip R. Colburn and Jack Lawson officiating.
Graveside services were held Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Slick Rock cemetery of the Brimstone Community.

MARIE TURNER
Marie Turner, age 81, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Miss Turner was born January 1, 1928.
Miss Turner is survived by daughter, Janice Walker and husband Tommy of Jamestown, TN; two grandchildren, Martha Warmuth and husband Joseph of Crossville and Dolly Walker of Jamestown; great-granddaughter, Emily Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Miss Turner was preceded in death by parents, Cordell and Martha Wright Turner; three brothers, Bud, Willard, and Cletis Turner; and three sisters, Ida Smith, Reba King and Rillie Upchurch.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Reagan and Bro. Oney Wright officiating. Burial followed in the King cemetery. Pallbearers included James Gluff, Coy King, Tim Steelman, Justin Steelman, Cody Kenworthy, Paul Kenworthy, Ronnie King and Larry Barnes.

Hilda Miller Beal, age 72, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Beal is survived by three sons, James E. Beal Jr., John Beal and wife Melissa and Frank Beal all of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Brittney Beal and Brianna Beal; and four sisters, Onie Cope of Bowling Green, KY, Myrl Monroe of Louisville, KY, Rachel Miller and Barbara Beaty and husband Jim both of Jamestown.
Mrs. Beal was preceded in death by husband, James Beal Sr.; parents, Albert and Hettie Miller; infant daughter; infant grandson; sister, Velma Delk; and brother, Willard Miller.
Memorial services were held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, KY.
