Gary Wayne (Duke) Wilkerson was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 10, 1950 the son of the late Con and Edna Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson was a self-employed carpenter. He liked to hunt and play golf. Mr. Wilkerson departed this life on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 60 years, 10 months, 24 days. He is survived by a daughter, Crystal Barber and husband Bradley of Decaturville, Tennessee; siblings, Connie Cole and James Wilkerson both of Savannah, Tennessee, Artie Gaia of Southaven, Mississippi, John Wilkerson of Adamsville, Tennessee, Danny Joe Wilkerson of Savannah, Tennessee and Wanda Hicks of Stantonville, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Raines, R.C. Wilkerson, Yvonne Wilkerson and Geraldine Wilkerson.
Services were held on June 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, Tennessee, with Clark Culver officiating. Burial followed in the Sunny Hill cemetery at Hardin County, Tennessee.
Frank Leslie Roberts
Frank Leslie Roberts, 56, of Bolivar, died August 13 at his home in Bolivar. The husband of Sara Leigh Roberts, who survives, he worked in maintenance with CCA. He was born October 11, 1954, in Beaver Falls, Penn., the son of Iris Wills Roberts of Selmer and the late Jesse Duncan Roberts and lived in Memphis prior to moving here. He was a graduate of Raleigh-Egypt High School in Memphis. In addition to his wife, whom he married
on May 13, 1991 and his mother, survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Laura Harville (James Fender) of Bolivar, Lacey Thompson (Clifton) of Savannah; two sons and a daughter in law, Michael Roberts (Karmen Russell) of Crump, Jason Walker of Bolivar; a sister, Connie Peters of Selmer; two brothers, Jay and Jack Roberts, both of Selmer; 8 grandchildren, Brian Walker, Kaylan Walker, Coleman, Brooke and Zachrey Thompson, Jonathan and Andrew Harville and Braden Fender; 8 nieces and 4 nephews.

Ewell O. Howell
Ewell O. Howell was born September 13, 1917 in McNairy County, Tennessee. She departed this life on June 10, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 9 Months, 7 Days. Ms. Howell was a retired Machine Operator for Schering- Plough, Inc. in Memphis with 51 years service. She was a Baptist. She is survived by a daughter, Inez Poague and husband John of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Mike Heavener, Cindy Griffin, Dave Heavener; six great-grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends.
Services were held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Bro. Jetta Forsythe officiating. Burial followed in the Bethesda cemetery at Selmer, Tennessee.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
Everett Austin (Jim) Rebstock
Everett Austin (Jim) Rebstock was born September 4, 1921 in Dale, Arkansas the son of the late Shirley Harrison and Rettia Potter Rebstock. He was united in marriage to Lucy Myrick on February 21, 1942. Mrs. Rebstock preceded him in death on March 1, 2005.
Mr. Rebstock was retired from Jackson’s Cookie Company in Memphis, TN. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a corporal in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. His primary service was in the Pacific Theater of operations. Mr. Rebstock was a member of the Mount Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His primary interests included gardening, fishing, doing shade-tree mechanic work, and reading his Bible. Mr. Rebstock departed this life on July 14, 2011 in Bolivar, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 10 Months, 10 Days. He is survived by four sons: Benny A. Rebstock of Ramer, TN, James Rebstock of Michie, TN, Terry K. Rebstock and wife Judith of Ramer, TN, Albert Rebstock and wife Sandy of Bethel Springs, TN; seven daughters: Mary Hendrix and husband Lee Royce of Memphis, TN, Helen Wilbanks and husband Hugh of Walnut, MS, Patricia Lacefield and husband Michael of Ramer, TN, Darlene Young and husband Billy of Iuka, MS, Sharon Reed and husband Ronnie of Mountain View, AR, Judy Harris and husband Dale of Jackson, TN, Christine Rebstock-Voyles and husband Ricky of Burnsville, MS; 24 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Rebstock was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Judy Ann Rebstock and Ann Rebstock; two grandchildren, Brian Rebstock and Lucretia Rebstock; two brothers, Cecil Rebstock and Leonard Rebstock; two sisters, Lorena Wallace and Helen Singleton.
Services were held on July 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Mike Hollaway officiating. Burial followed in the Hope McNairy County Memorial cemetery at Selmer, Tennessee.
Eugene Gordon Jernigan
Eugene Gordon Jernigan was born July 20, 1925 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee the son of the late Homer Gordon and Lois Kernodle Jernigan. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Isbell, who survives. Mr. Jernigan departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2011. He lived in Jackson, TN for many years and was retired from Consolidated Aluminum Corporation in Jackson. He served honorably in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church in Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rebecca (Isbell) Jernigan of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Brenda Dungey and husband Clay of Jackson, TN, Malinda Chaney and husband Lewis of Jackson, TN; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Jernigan and wife Mary of Bethel Springs, TN. A host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jernigan was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Moorelock.

E. D. "Dudley" Richard
Dudley “Daddy Dud” Richard was born on January 9, 1911 in McNairy County, TN the son of Eugene Franklin Richard and Minnie Pearl Moore Richard. He was united in marriage to MaiDel English on May 5, 1934. Mrs. Richard preceded him in death on February 4, 1998.
Mr. Richard was a longtime General Contractor. He was a charter member of Eastview Baptist Church, a member of the Eastview Ruritan Club, the Selmer Rotary Club, and the Corinth F & AM Lodge. Mr. Richard departed this life on July 1, 2011 at his home in the Eastview community on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the age of 100 years, 5 months, and 22 days
He is survived by four daughters, Doris Sutton and husband Burl of Ramer, TN, Sandra Scott and husband Ray of Ramer, TN, Marbary Del Segars of Ramer, TN, Quinnie Bell and husband Ron of Selmer, TN; four sons, Don Rayburn Richard and wife Marjorie of Jackson, TN, David Richard and wife Kathy of Selmer, TN, Steve Richard and wife Sandi of Selmer, TN, John Richard and companion Diane Carlin of Ramer, TN; a sister, Laura Griffin of Ramer, TN; a daughter-in-law, Libby Jo Richard; a son-in-law, Dan Ingram; two sisters-in-law, Tommy Leonhard and Jean Richard. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Gene Ingram on June 16, 2011; a son, Mike Richard on June 2, 2010; a son-in-law, Johnny Joe Segars on May 1, 2011; a grandchild, Mark Ingram on June 6, 2006; a sister, Thelma Richard Prather; three brothers, Fred, Billy, and Jack Richard.

Dorothy Louise Nash
Dorothy Louise Nash was born December 6, 1943 in Colbert County, Alabama the daughter of the late Jessie and Mossie Gregory Lackey.
She was united in marriage to James Marion Nash. Mrs. Nash had previously resided in Sheffield, AL and was a self employed gift shop owner. Mrs. Nash departed this life on July 9, 2011 at her home in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 7 Months, 3 Days. She is survived by her husband James Marion Nash of Selmer, TN; a son, Jessie Marion Nash of Selmer, TN; a stepdaughter, Diane Kelley of El Paso, TX; a stepson, James Leslie Nash of Big Sandy, TN; a sister, Joyce Stewart of Tuscumbia, AL; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Searcy. There were no public services.

Dorothy Ann Gean
Dorothy Ann Gean was born in McNairy County on May 31, 1930 the daughter of the late Arch A. and Mamie Perkins Todd. Ms. Gean was a teacher’s aide for Adamsville High School. She was a member of First Christian Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. Ms. Gean loved shopping, gardening and she was a wonderful mother. She departed this life on May 13, 2011 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 13 days. Ms. Gean is survived by 2 daughters, Anne Allen and her husband, Dr. William Allen of Amelia Island, Florida and Keenan Williams of Adamsville, Tennessee one son, Todd Gean and his wife Molly Bolton Gean of Adamsville, Tennessee
5 grandchildren, Todd Whitaker and his wife Heather of Athens, Georgia, Anne Lacey Whitaker of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeb Williams of Adamsville, Tennessee and Bolton and Ali Grace Gean, both of Adamsville, Tennessee In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Harold Todd.
Services were held on May 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at First Christian Church in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Dr. Brian Jackson, Gary Henline, and Mark Massey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ledbetter cemetery at Hardin County, Tennessee.
Dewey Wayne Mathis
Dewey Wayne Mathis was born December 3, 1946 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Frank and Goldia Owens Mathis. He was united in marriage to Peggy J. Wyatt on October 16, 1982. Mr. Mathis grew up in the Childers Hill community and was a graduate of Southside High School. He entered the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and served almost 12 years. During that time, he served as a Target Radar Azimuth Operator for Battery B, 5th Battalion, 6th Air Defense Artillery in the 101st Airborne Division. He was honorably discharged from military service in 1976, having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Mathis was a truck driver for G and S Truck Line, and also enjoyed doing small engine repair for his friends. He loved to work in the yard and tend his garden, and he was known as “Fifth Wheel” when talking with others on his CB radio. Mr. Mathis was a member of the Adamsville Masonic Lodge #338 and the Stantonville Methodist Church. Mr. Mathis departed this life on May 20, 2011 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 5 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Peggy J. Mathis of Adamsville, TN; two daughters, Tonyia (Hight) Purvis of Stantonville, TN and Melanie A. Mathis of Ramer, TN; two sons, Dewey Mathew Mathis of Watertown, NY and Nicholas Lynn Ernest of Hendersonville, NC; six grandchildren: Laken Hight, Kyle Purvis, Wayne Mathis, Hunter Mathis, Brooke Butler, Jason Davis; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mathis was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Childers, and two brothers, Archie L. Mathis and William Mathis.
Services were held on May 24, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Zolon Clayton, Curry Hendrix, and Nick Ernest officiating. Burial with military honors followed in the Stantonville cemetery at Stantonville, Tennessee.
Dewayne Henry Mann
Dewayne Henry Mann, 62, of Huntingdon, died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Jackson General. He lived most of his life in Jackson, TN, but retired in Finger, TN, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Henderson, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Mann and Christine Henley; four brothers, Frank, Charles, Linnard and Billy Mann; and two sisters, Dean Shaver and Barbara Timms. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Mann of the home; two daughters, Jeannie Mann of Bartlett and Krissi Mann-Sheffield and husband Chip of Jackson; son, David Mann and wife Shelley of Henderson; brother, Tommy Mann and wife Patty of Lake City, AR; sisters, Ann Adams and husband Larry of Bono, AR and Elaine Mann of Finger, TN; sister-in-law, Shirley Mann; three grandchildren, Magan Cobb, Madison Cobb and Paisley Sheffield.
Funeral service was held at 11 am at the George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel. Burial followed in the Mann Family cemetery in Finger, TN.
Delores Gene Ingram
Delores Gene Ingram was born May 5, 1936 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of E. D. and the late Mai Del English Richard. Mrs. Ingram was united in marriage to Dan Ingram on February 6, 1959. She worked for Home Interior and Gifts for nearly 36 years and was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church in Eastview, TN. Mrs. Ingram departed this life on June 16, 2011 in Collierville, TN at the age of 75 Years, 1 Month, 11 Days. She is survived by her husband Dan Ingram of Ramer, TN; four daughters, Marilyn Ervin of Ramer, TN, Marjie (Ingram) Gray and husband Ronnie of Corinth, MS, Robin Ingram of Corinth, MS; two sons, Dan Ingram Jr. and wife Michelle of Wellington, FL, Dudley Ingram and wife Diane of Guys, TN; her father, E. D. Richard of Selmer, TN; sisters Doris Sutton and husband Burl; Sandra Scott and husband Ray; Marbary Segars; Quinnie Bell and husband Ron; brothers Rayburn Richard and wife Marjorie; David Richard and wife Kathy; Steve Richard and wife Sandi; and John Richard and companion Diane Carlin; 9 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren, and a special daughter-in-law, Peggy Ingram. Daren Thomas Spears
Daren Thomas Spears was born March 18, 1967 in Selmer, TN, the son of James Thomas and Linda Sue Gray Spears. Daren was an antiques dealer and was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, TN. Daren departed this life on May 27, 2011 in Selmer, TN at the age of 44 Years, 2 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Falyn Grace Spears of Savannah, TN; his parents, James Thomas and Linda Sue Gray Spears of Stantonville, TN; a sister, Juana Spears Jones of Corinth, MS; a nephew, Colby Michael Jones of Corinth, MS; and a special friend, Lisa Barns of Selmer, TN.
Memorial Services were held on June 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee.

Charles L. Spencer
Charles Louis Spencer, age 77 of Selmer formerly from Michigan died at Tri County Convalescent Home on June 1, 2011. Charles was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and was also a charter member of the Fowlerville Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife Mary L. Spencer of Selmer; four children, Charlotte Schneider and husband Dennis of Selmer, Keith Spencer and wife Cathy of Medesto CA, Susan Pauls and husband Gary of Modesto CA, Charles Spencer Jr. and fiance Kaitlin Burt of Howell MI. He is also survived by 9 grand children and 4 great grand children. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church building fund, 1318 Poplar Ave., Selmer, TN 38375.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 12:00 PM at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church in Selmer, Tennessee, with The Reverend W. H. Arnold officiating. The wake will be at the church on Wednesday, June 8th. from 10:00 AM until services at noon. There will be a private interment

Charles Frank Campbell Jr.
Charles (Chuck) Frank Campbell, Jr., age 70, died at Vanderbilt Medical Hospital on Saturday, July 30 after a four month valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Cathryn Campbell and his only sibling Carilyn Hubrich.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Judy, two sons and “daughters” Charles Frank Campbell, III (Chip) and his wife Brenda and Alan and his wife Emily; five grandchildren Chas (Charles IV), Reid, Sawyer, Cooper, and Payton who loved their “Papa” very much, his “Mom and cheerleader” Anna Ray, his “brother” Jerry and his wife Sharon. Since retirement his favorite pal has been “Katie.”
Chuck was a member of the 1958 graduating class at Shawnee. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1962 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and in 1969 received his Master’s Degree in Instrumental Music from Austin Peay State University.
In 2006 Chuck retired after 31 years as a public school band director. During this time, Chuck directed bands in Kentucky at East Hardin High School, George Rogers Clark High School, and North Hardin High School. Under his direction his marching and concert bands have received national recognition. The North Hardin High School Band received both the Sudler Shield and the Flag of Honor from the John Phillip Sousa Foundation. Both the George Rogers Clark and North Hardin High School Bands performed at the Midwest Clinic under his direction. In addition, the North Hardin Wind Symphony performed in such venues as the Kentucky Music Educators Conference, Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, and Carnegie Hall. The East Hardin Rebeleer Band traveled to Winnipeg, Canada where they received recognition in both marching and concert venues.
In 2008-2009, Chuck served as interim director of the University of Louisville Symphonic Band. He was a member of the Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity Hall of Fame, a 2001 Alumni of the Year in the music department at Eastern Kentucky University, a 2003 Kentucky High School Music Teacher of the Year, and a 2009 recipient of the Citation for Service presented by the Kentucky Music Educators Association. One of the highlights of Chuck’s career was his induction into the American Bandmasters Association, a goal that he never dreamed that he would achieve. For the past three years, Chuck has shared his teaching philosophies with student teachers and interns from Western Kentucky University.
In 1978, Chuck left education for 11 years and worked in the area of sales for Henco, Inc. In that capacity he continued working with people and helping school groups, especially music programs raise money to continue their programs.
Throughout the last four months, the Campbell family emphasized that they did not want to fight this battle alone. Thus, the inception of the Chuck Campbell page on carepages.com which has connected the family with a team of over 700, who have left words of encouragement and memories that will be treasured by the family forever.
Visitation for the celebration of Chuck’s life will be on Tuesday, August 2 from 12:00-8:00 at Glendale Christian Church. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 3 at 2:00 until the celebration service at 5:30 PM. Manakee Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Charles Edward Henry
Charles Edward Henry was born February 10, 1924 in McNairy, TN. He was the son of the late Samuel and Izola Frye Henry. He was married
February 26, 1944 to his first wife, Burice Edna Causey, who preceded him in death on February 3, 1972. He was married
June 22, 1974 to his second wife, Martha Bell Mathis, who survives. Mr. Henry lived in Selmer, TN and was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Bethel Springs, TN United Pentecostal Church also known as the Springs at Bethel. Mr. Henry departed this life on August 8, 2011 at Tri-county Convalescent Home in Adamsville, TN at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 29 days. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Martha Henry of Selmer; a daughter, Zola Hylton of Eden, NC; a step-daughter, Barbara White of Bolivar, TN; a sister, Nora Sharpe of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Ray Henry of Jackson, TN, Sammy Henry of Manchester, TN; Three grandchildren, David Glenn Thacker of Selmer, Margaret Marcus of Selmer, Larry Donald Joyner of Tulsa, OK; two step-grandchildren, Darrell White and Susan Gupton of Nashville, TN; nine great grandchildren. A host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Mr. Henry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Frances Thacker, a granddaughter, Linda Faye Thacker, and a brother, Lloyd Henry. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Pastor Jeff Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery at Selmer, Tennessee.

Charles E. Hunt
Charles Emory (Honey) Hunt was born March 14, 1933 in Waterloo, Alabama the son of the late Charlie Rebel and Bessie Mayflower Highland Hunt. He was united in marriage to Mackie Louetta Briley on August 15, 1959. Mrs. Hunt preceded him in death on February 21, 2010. Mr. Hunt grew up in the Walker Town community of Hardin County. He owned and operated Ever Ready Auto Parts in Savannah for 24 years. He was the receiving manager for Wal-Mart for almost 34 years. He loved camping, fishing, restoring cars and trucks, and collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. He enjoyed life and loved his two kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren, he was known to his grandchildren as “Honey.” He loved all children and opened his home for 17 years to care for foster children. Mr. Hunt departed this life on June 7, 2011 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 78 Years, 2 Months, 24 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Lorie (Hunt) Jackson James and husband Lynn; a brother, James Wyley Hunt of Savannah, TN; three grandchildren, Lana (Lumpkin) Skelton and husband Benson, Danalee Van Ashton Jackson, Colton Todd Lumpkin; six great grandchildren, Emoree Brooke, Ayden Wesley and Benjamin O’Brian Skelton, Jaxton Beau, Landon, and Tristan Ian Lumpkin. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by a son, Charles Van Hunt on November 18, 2001.
