Tammy Renee Conner Rock

Kingsport - Tammy Renee Conner Rock, 41 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday (October 8, 2007) at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, a graduate of Sullivan North High School, and received her nursing degree from ETSU. She was employed as a registered Nurse with Indian Path Medical Center, and was a sign language interpreter. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister.
She was proceeded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harvey Forbes; paternal grandparents, Edward Conner, Sr. and Dettie Conner.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Rock, Sr., Kingsport; daughter, Amanda Rock, Kingsport; son, Danny Rock, Jr. and wife Rhonda, Kingsport; mother and step-father, Jane Cox and husband Bruce, Kingsport; father and step-mother, Edward Conner, Jr. and wife Julie, Kingsport; grandmother, Edith Forbes, Kingsport; sister, Cher Dowdy, Johnson City; half-sister, Nikki Conner, Kingsport.
Calling hours will be Thursday (October 11, 2007) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carter- Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A Funeral service will follow at 7p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Mowdy officiating.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday (October 12, 2007) at East Lawn Memorial Park (Garden of the Apostle). Family and Friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:55 a.m.

Alice Noe Chandler
Kingsport – Alice Noe Chandler, 85, went to be with the Lord, Sunday (October 7, 2007) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Bean Station, TN (Grainger County) and had lived in Kingsport most of her life. She was employed at Kingsport Press for years and later worked at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She attended Cedar View Independent Methodist Church and later attended New Hope Presbyterian Church.
She was proceeded in death by son, Jerry Guy; parents, Pierce Noe and Minnie Waters; brother, J.R. Noe Jr.
She is survived by one aunt, Thelma Miller, Kingsport; cousin and care giver, Judy Rhoton and husband James, Mt. Carmel; cousins, Pete Miller and wife Linda, David Miller and wife Vickie, Joe Miller and wife Rita and Tommy Guy, all of Kingsport; very special friends, Helen Berry, Kingsport, Bill and Nita Holt, Mt. Carmel.
Calling hours will be Tuesday (October 9, 2007) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Peter’s officiating. Music will be provided by Tony Peters.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday (October 10, 2007) at Bean Station cemetery, Bean Station, TN.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.

Alma Agnes Paris Hamilton
Alma Agnes Paris Hamilton, 85, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday (September 28, 2007) at Brookhaven Health Care, Kingsport, TN.
She was born in Hamilton County, TN and had lived in Kingsport for many years. She was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brice Hamilton on 2005; parents, William and Sally Weatherton Paris.
She was the last one of ten siblings.
She is survived by three special nieces, Meika, Shelia and Joyce, all of Compton, CA; a host of other nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 11 to 12 p.m. Wednesday October 3, 2007 at Saint Marks United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Wednesday October 3, 2007 at Saint Marks United Methodist Church with Rev. Rae Mullins and Rev. Giles McClintock officiating. Entombment service will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Rev. Robert L. Ramey
Rev. Robert L. Ramey, 88, Fall Branch, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday (September 29, 2007) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Wise County, VA (Norton) and has lived here for over 70 years. He was a Baptist minister for over 51 years, having served and pastured several churches in East Tennessee and South West Virginia. He attended Oak Glen Baptist Church (Yuma, VA).
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 61 years, Belva Mae Mullins Ramey, (August 1, 2007).
He is survived by his daughter, Dinah Freeman and husband Alvin, Kingsport; sons, Jimmy “Jim” Ramey and wife Faye and Gary W. Ramey, all of Kingsport; grandsons, Chris Ramey, Josh Ramey, Tyler Ramey, Grant Ramey; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Baxter; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Ramey, Caden Ramey, Barrett Baxter; half-brothers, Charles Ramey and Matthew Ramey both of Clintwood, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday (September 30, 2007) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Funeral service will be 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Strong and Pastor Danny Sykes officiating. Music will be provided by Oak Glen Choir and Oak Glen Trio.
Entombment service will be 11 a.m. Monday (October 1, 2007) at Oak Hill Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Harliss Ramey, Paul Roberts and grandsons; Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Davenport, Norman Wilson, Larry Riddle, Regan Riddle, Mike Riddle, and Jeff Tolliver. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Oak Glen Baptist Church (Building Fund) P.O. Box 158 Gate City, VA 24251.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Larry Foster, Dr. Atikque Miraza and Dr. May; also the nurses on the 6th floor.

Rev. Frank McMahan
Kingsport - Rev. Frank McMahan, 73 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Del Rio, TN, he had lived in Kingsport for most of his life. He was the pastor of Full Gospel Church of God in Jesus Name (Big Stone Gap, VA) from 1976-2007 and worked as a supervisor with the City of Kingsport retiring after 33 1/2 years service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Oll and Gladys (Fish) McMahan; grandson, Franklin David McMahan; sister, Julia Bell Cline; brother, Curtis McMahan.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Ann Reynolds McMahan of the home; daughter, Shelia Yoakley and husband Ernest, Jr. of Gate City; son, Frank McMahan, Jr. and wife Theresa of Fall Branch; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, O. B. McMahan, Jr. and wife Shirley, Kenneth McMahan and wife Nancy and Paul McMahan and wife Shirley all of Big Stone Gap, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Collins, Rev. Richard Crawford, Jr. and Rev. Larry Anderson officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Jim Kearns. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Dematteo, Harry Fields, Ray Reynolds, Van Reynolds, Charles Reynolds, James Reynolds and Hagan Webb. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carter-Trent Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1129, Kingsport, TN 37662, to help the family with funeral expenses.

Sharron Doran
Kingsport - Sharron Linkous Doran, 60 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2007, at her residence following a long illness. She was a life long resident of Kingsport.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Green; and a sister, Faye Barrett.
Sharron is survived by her daughter, Amara Doran; grandson, Gabriel Morgan both of Gray, TN; father, William Linkous of Kingsport; sister, Donna Lawson and husband Don of Kingsport; brother-in-law, Lynn Barrett; special niece, Brandi Farmer; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM Monday, September 24, 2007 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Ervin Francis and Rev. Stan Varney officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 AM.

Juanita Taylor
Kingsport - Juanita S. Simpson Taylor, 95, went to be with the Lord, Thursday (September 20, 2007) at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.
She was born in Hawkins County, TN. She lived a short time in Maryland and North Carolina, before moving back to Kingsport. She worked for over 30 years at Borden Mills Corp. and later worked in Maryland and North Carolina in Textile Industries. Juanita was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Taylor; Infant Daughter; parents, Jessie S. and Laura Wharf Simpson; sisters, Cindy Harrison, Hattie Bishop, Mattie Pearl McClellan; Brother, Elbert Simpson.
She is survived by nieces, Kathy Hite and husband James, Mt. Carmel, Patricia Templeton and husband Glenn, Kingsport; nephews, Brad Dennison, and wife, Carolyn, Kingsport, Omer Dennison and wife Sue, Morristown, John McClellan, Saltville, VA.; several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday (September 22, 2007) at 11 a.m. at Oak Dale Missionary Baptist Church cemetery, Baileyton, TN with Pastor Brad Dennison officiating. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:55 a.m.
