Kingsport - Linda Flanary Robinette, 58, of Kingsport, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at her home.
She was a graduate of Gate City High School and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Robinette and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Flanary.
Surviving are her brother-in-law, Joe Robinette and wife Sheila of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Sissy Jones of Knoxville; three nephews, Will Robinette of Kingsport, Tommy Bryant of Knoxville, and Todd Bryant of Dallas, TX; two nieces, Lee Reynolds of Kingsort and Lynn Stewart of Alpharetta, GA, along with several friends

Rylan Bryce Calhoun
Kingsport - Rylan Bryce Calhoun, 7 month old son of Samantha Dettor and Chad Calhoun went to be with the Lord on Wednesday (May 31, 2006) at Welmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Zackary Wayne Calhoun, Caleb Alexander Calhoun, and Ashton Blake Calhoun; his maternal grandmother, Angela Sue Mullins of Church Hill; maternal grandfather, Nile "Ted" Dettor Jr. of Mt. Carmel; paternal grandparents, Richard "Rick" and Susan Calhoun; maternal great-grandmother, Colleen Hicks; maternal great-grandfather-Bob Blankenship and paternal great-grandmother, Velna Calhoun all of Kingsport .

Lowell Fredrick Feagins

Kingsport - Lowell Fredrick Feagins, 65, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday (May 31, 2006) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a battle with cancer.
He was born in Kingsport and had lived here all of his life and was an employee of Nickel's Floor Covering, having retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of Evangel Family Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, George S. Feagins; maternal grandparents, J.D. and Nannie Luster Roberts and paternal grandparents, J.W. and Lena Poe Feagins.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Feagins of the home; his mother, Mary Feagins of Kingsport and several cousins.
Calling hours are from 5 - 7 pm on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Evangel Family Worship Center, 1928 Bloomingdale Pike, Kingsport, 37660. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm at the church with Pastor James Hagy and Pastor David Townsend, officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Washington County Memory Gardens, Johnson City, TN. Pallbearers will be Brandon DeZarn, Joe Newland, Daniel House, Andy Hagy, Treavor DeZarn and Joshua DeZarn. It is requested that family and friends meet at the cemetery at 10:55 am.

Marissa Olterman Darnell
Kingsport - Marissa Olterman Darnell, 42, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (May 30, 2006) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Sullivan Co., TN and was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County (Kingsport). She attended North High School and also Dobyns Bennett High School. She was a loving mother and also an animal lover. Marissa was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Josh Darnell; daughter, Chasity Darnell and the father of her children, Terry Darnell.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Bunting of the home; her father and mother, Harold Olterman and Sylvia Larkins Lyons; two daughters, Ashley Taylor and husband Russell and Brandi Copas and husband Corey all of Kingsport; grandmothers, Gaynelle Christian of Kingsport and Mamie Larkins of Kingsport; step-father, Jack Christian and wife Freda of Fall Branch; 5 sisters, Angela Allen, Sabrina Christian, Kim Olterman, Vanessa Bishop and Brittany Hobbs, all of Kingsport; two brothers, Sean Christian and Justin Olterman both of Kingsport and special friend, Michael Halstead of Kingsport.

William James Brennan
Kingsport - Bill Brennan, 70, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (May 30, 2006) at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Oceanside, New York, Bill had been a resident of Kingsport for the past six years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce and attended First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Alyce Laravie Brennan.
He is survived by his wife, Carol K. Brennan of the home; four daughters, Carol Elizabeth Brennan of Ladson, SC, Deborah Deresky of Bay Shore, NY, Bobbie Nichols Louisville, KY, and Julie Ross of Denton, TX; three sons, Michael W. Brennan, Billings, Montana, James K. Brennan, Goose Creek, SC and Danny Hill of Glens Falls, NY; 13 grandchildren and a sister, Patricia Spatenga of Sayville, NY.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Paul R. Salley
Kingsport - Paul Reed Salley, 80, passed away Friday, March 31, 2006, at his home in the presence of his family and friends.
Born June 16, 1925, in Indian Springs, he spent most of his life in Kingsport. Mr. Salley served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a First Gunner aboard the USS Allendale and the USS Winged Arrow. He earned the American Theater Medal, Asiatic, Pacific Medal (2 stars) and the Victory Medal. He retired from J.P. Stevens after 45 years of service.
Paul was a member of Orebank Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hattie Salley; a sister, Mabel Bright; 6 brothers, Charles, Dan, Jim, John Henry, Moscow and Ray, and parents-in-law, Dewey and Lona Lemmons.
Surviving are his loving wife of more than 49 years, Shirley L. Salley of the home; daugther and son, Shelby and Jeff Starnes; sisters, Jeanette Hagie, Julie Horne, of Kingsport and Garfa Presecreta, Gilbert, AZ; special niece, Donna Lemmons; several nieces and nephews; special pets, Icee and Rock; special children, Tyler and Victoria Barnett; special friends, Lyle and Wynona Vaughn, Scott and Deanna Barnett, Evelyn and Susan Hurst and Jim and Bettie Starnes.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Orebank MIssionary Baptist Church, Kingsport, with Pastor David Foster and Pastor Wayne Baker, officiating. Military Graveside Services will follow at the Chestnut Flats Primitive Baptist Church cemetery, Kingsport with the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265, with Joe W. Church Hill - Virginia Ann Roark, 66 ,of Church Hill, passed away on Tuesday (May 9, 2006) at Indian Path Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Lebanon, VA, she had lived in the Hampton, Va area for several years prior to moving to Church Hill in 2000. She was retired from the Newport News Shipyard and was a member of Apostolic Gospel Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sylvia Puckett McCloud; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Surviving is her husband, Paul Roark of the home; two daughters, Lisa G. Smith and husband R. Keith of Greensburg, PA and Lori A. Barnett and husband Tommy of Mt. Carmel; her son, David G. Roark and wife Carlene of Jackson, MO; four grandchildren, Johnathan Roark, Bethany Smith, Lindsay Smith, and Paul Price; one great granddaughter, Alora Roark; two sisters, Betty-Jo Coley and husband David of Durham, NC and Peggy Page of Fall Branch; two brothers, Bud McCloud and wife Freda of Bristol, VA and Jim McCloud and wife Betty of Gate City, VA; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Mason G. Andrew R "Andy" Taylor
Kingsport – Andrew R. "Andy” Taylor, 83, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, (April 29, 2008) at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness.
Andy was born in Hendersonville, NC and had lived in Kingsport for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Andy had been a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church since 1957, where he had served as a deacon since 1977. He was a retired employee of Holston Defense Corp.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents Andrew R. Taylor, Sr. and Thelma Williams Taylor; brother, W.C. Taylor; sister, Hazel Maxwell.
Andy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Marion Taylor, of the home; daughter, Andrea McMillen and husband, Mike, Columbia, MO; son, Ronnie Taylor, Mt. Carmel TN; grandsons, Robby Kirkpatrick, and wife Jessica, Kevin McMillen, and wife Joanne, and Steven Taylor and wife, Staci; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Taylor; sisters, Louise Kersey, Kingsport, TN, Emily Galloway, Butte, Montana; brother, Rev. Bob Taylor, and wife, Pat, Folkston, GA; several nieces and nephews.
