J.C. Moneymaker, 68, of Clinton, died Friday, June 5, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Moneymaker was retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems Inc.
He was born in Anderson County on Dec. 7, 1929, the son of Edgar and Lucy Moneymaker, both now deceased.
Mr. Moneymaker was a member of Riverview Baptist Church of Claxton. His hobby was working with old Ford cars, his family said.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Waggoner Moneymaker; two daughters, Mary Moneymaker of Knoxville and Joyce Nelson and her husband, Pat, of Clinton; two sons, Henry Moneymaker of Clinton and Leslie Moneymaker of Knoxville; six grandchildren, Pamela "Toby" Nelson, Cristy Moneymaker, Vickie Moneymaker, Michael Moneymaker, Christopher Moneymaker and Eric Hardin; and a nephew he considered special, Eddie Coward and his wife, Anita, of Clinton.
Mr. Moneymaker is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Coward of Claxton and Vivian Kidwell and her husband, Charles, of Rutledge; and three brothers, Ira Moneymaker and his wife, Madeline, and Bruce Moneymaker and his wife, Linda, all of Knoxville, and Ronnie Moneymaker and his wife, Jacque, of Claxton.
Another brother, Albert L. Moneymaker, died earlier.
The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon, June 8, at Riverview Baptist Church in Claxton with the Rev. Don Hensley and the Rev. Archie Nelson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Pauline Parks Morris, 71, of Powell, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.
Mrs. Morris is survived by two daughters, Sharon Mahan and Catherine Mims and her husband, Dennis, all of Lawrenceville, Ga., a son, Robert S. Morris Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann, of Alpharetta, Ga.; a sister, Thelma Sharpe of Lake City; a brother, E.B. Parks of Athens, Tenn; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 3 this afternoon, June 30, at Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City with the Rev. Don Martin officiating. Friends may view the body during the hour before the service.
Burial will follow at McCarty Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.

Mary Ellen Tackett Byrge, 79, of Lake City, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at her home.
Mrs. Byrge is survived by her husband of 63 years, Matt Byrge; and a daughter, Mae Elliott and her husband, Ken, of Lake City.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, Oct. 14, in the chapel of Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. J.T. Leach, the Rev. Gary Smith and the Rev. C.H. Baird officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Leach cemetery in Lake City.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
John Marlow Ewing

John Marlow Ewing, 36, of Raleigh, N.C., died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Ewing was born in Oak Ridge on June 9, 1961. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and the son of Juanita Marlow Ewing of Oak Ridge, a teacher at Glenwood Elementary School. His father, William McKay Ewing, is deceased.
He was employed as an airplane mechanic for Federal Express in Raleigh.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Ewing is survived by his wife, Adelina Ewing; a daughter, Emily Francesca Ewing of Raleigh; two sisters, Susan Ewing of Knoxville and Vicki Johnson of Oak Ridge; and a brother, Dewey Ewing of Stratford, Conn.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Crossville City cemetery.

Howard Martin Preuss
Retired Y-12 Plant engineer
Howard Martin Preuss, 73, of Knoxville, died Monday, April 27, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Preuss, an engineer, was retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems as director of the Assembly Division at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. He had worked at Y-12 for 42 years, beginning when he came here with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge and a former member of Peace Lutheran Church of Knoxville.
He was the son of Martin and Bertha Preuss of Cleveland, Ohio, both now deceased.
Mr. Preuss is survived by his wife, Margaret Preuss; a daughter, Sandra M. Switek and her husband, John, of Oak Ridge; a son, John Howard Preuss of St. Cloud, Fla.; a grandson, Skylar Preuss; a sister, Elaine Rice and her husband, Thomas, of Cleveland, Ohio; and a brother, Clifford Preuss and his wife, Betty, also of Cleveland, Ohio.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 at the cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth H. Henderlight officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Thursday following the memorial service.

Joseph E. Boland
Retired Y-12 foreman
Joseph E. Boland, 73, of Andersonville, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Boland was retired as an electrical foreman in the Maintenance Department at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. He began working at the Department of Energy's plants on Nov. 24, 1953, when they were operated by Union Carbide Nuclear Division, and retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems on Dec. 28, 1989.
He was the son of Charles and Zelma Boland and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Boland was a member of Andersonville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed raising beef cattle, fishing and cooking.
He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Martin and her husband, Tony, of Clinton; a son, Joel Boland and his wife, Sonya, of Andersonville; four grandchildren, Melanie Martin, Joshua Martin, Chasity Valentine and Brandon Boland; and two great-grandchildren, Amber White and Jade Valentine.
Mr. Boland is also survived by two sisters, Gussie Barfield and her husband, Sammy, and Sue Cannon and her husband, Dennis, all of Macon, Ga.; and by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
His wife, Annie Loyce Boland, and his parents are deceased.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. George Buchanan and the Rev. Kenneth Abbott officiating.
Burial will be at Norris Memorial Gardens.

Tresa Grace Hill Hughes, 38, of Heiskell, died Friday, April 17, 1998, in Anderson County.
Mrs. Hughes was employed as a bookkeeper at DataWorld Inc.'s Micros to Go in West Knoxville.
She was born in Anderson County on March 12, 1960.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by her son, Timothy Dana Crass of Heiskell; her mother, Dorotha Hill Turner of Heiskell; five sisters, Shilda Sands of Maynardville, Charlotte Ogle of Sevierville, Gilda Morris of Andersonville, Lisa Ray of Knoxville and Ina Page of Tipp City, Ohio; and two brothers, Lionel Hill of Knoxville and Gordon Hill of Heiskell; and by several nieces and nephews.
Her father, Ruben Hill, and her daughter, Selina Crass, died earlier.
The funeral was held Sunday night, April 19, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Marie Davis Tipton

Marie Davis Tipton, 74, of Powell, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Tipton was the mother of Dorothy June York of Clinton.
She was born in Oneida on Jan. 6, 1924, the youngest of 12 children of Andy and Sally Davis.
Mrs. Tipton had worked as a nurse's aide at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and at Beverly Hills Sanitarium, both in Knoxville.
She was a member of Sunny View Baptist Church in Powell.
In addition to her Clinton daughter and son-in-law, Bob York, Mrs. Tipton is survived by her husband, Fred Tipton; another daughter, Kathy Diane Pool and her husband, J.P., of Durant, Okla.; three sons, Frank Tipton and his wife, Barbara, of Etowah, Edward L. Tipton and his wife, Barbara, of Panama City, Fla., and Danny R. Tipton and his wife, Charlotte, of Calhoun, Ga.; and by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. R.H. Barnes and the Rev. Donnie Walker officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Bells Camp Ground cemetery in Powell. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Shirley K. Watson
Former Oak Ridge resident
Shirley K. Watson, 79, of Bradenton, Fla., died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton.
Mrs. Watson lived in Oak Ridge from 1944 until 1981, then lived in Norris until 1993, when she moved to Florida.
While here, she was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, a member of the Oak Ridge Country Club and a member and past president of the Oak Ridge Woman's Club.
In Norris, Mrs. Watson was active at the Community Craft Center and with Norris Religious Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walcott Watson; a daughter, Patricia Waring and her husband, James, of Farragut; three sons, Richard Watson and his wife, Rebecca, of Bristol, David Watson and his wife, Lorraine, of Oak Ridge, and Robert Watson and his wife, Michele, of Tampa, Fla.; and a sister, Muriel Seman of Pennsburg, Pa.
Mrs. Watson is also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer Waring Jackson and her husband, Brian, Mark Waring, Sarah Waring and Jessica Watson; two great-grandchildren, Kori and Hailey Jackson; and several nieces and nephews, including Barbara Bennett and her husband, M.R., and their family, all of Oak Ridge.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The Rev. Bob Puckett will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the home of Patricia and James Waring in Farragut.
