Claudia Ginn Kellermeyer, 65, of Oliver Springs, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Kellermeyer was retired as a licensed practical nurse at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born in Fortville, Ind., on Sept. 17, 1932, the daughter of James Carson and Marcella Freeman Ginn. She was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Kellermeyer is survived by a stepdaughter, Angela Oathout and her husband, David, of Anchorage, Alaska; two stepsons, Douglas Kellermeyer of Fortville and Chris Kellermeyer and his wife, Paula, of Evinston, Fla.; and a sister, Barbara Ginn Hochstedler and her husband, Jesse Lee Hochstedler, of Seymour.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Leah, Samuel, Lindsey and Spencer Kellermeyer, all of Evinston, and Joe, Aaron and Matthews Oathout, all of Anchorage; two nieces, Darlene Hancock of Columbus, Ohio, and Connie Bales and her husband, Jimmy, of Seymour; a nephew, Dr. J. Lee Hochstedler and his wife, Mittie, of New Orleans, La.; and by four grandnieces.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. E.C. Vestal and the Rev. Chris Kellermeyer officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Knoxville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Feb. 23, at the mortuary.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to a charity of the donor's choice.

Jack Thomas Martin, 78, of Lake City died Friday morning, Feb. 20, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Christine Hatmaker Martin; a daughter, Deborah Campbell and her husband, Matthew, of Lake City; a son, Thomas Martin, also of Lake City; and two grandsons.
The funeral was held Saturday night, Feb. 21, in the chapel of Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Don Martin officiating.
A graveside service with full military rites was held Sunday, Feb. 22, at Leach cemetery in Lake City.
Gertrude Brown Moore

Gertrude Brown Moore, 69, of Oliver Springs, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Faith Church of God Worship Center in Morgan County.
She was born in Campbell County on Aug. 9, 1928, the daughter of Joe and Florence Garrett Brown, both now deceased. She had been a resident of Oliver Springs since the age of 13.
Mrs. Moore had lived in Dayton, Ohio, for 10 years and in Florida for five years. She had worked as a nurse's aide for 10 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Rutherford and her husband, Bob, of Oak Ridge, Connie Asher and her husband, Delbert, of Oliver Springs, and Debra Robbins and her husband, James, of Fulton, Ky.; and five sons, Joe H. Moore Jr., Billy York, Eddie York, Jimmy York and his wife, Margaret, and Tony Brown and his wife, Zola, all of Oliver Springs.
Mrs. Moore is also survived by two sisters, Dutchie Casteel of Oak Ridge and Sue Myers of Oliver Springs; two brothers, Charles H. Brown of Crossville and William A. Brown of Knoxville; and by 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Barbara Brown of Clinton was considered a special friend.
Her husbands, Sherman York and Joe H. Moore Sr., died earlier, as did a grandson, Butch Patrick Gulley, and a great-granddaughter, Angel Hope Hatfield.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Frank Price officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Feb. 23, at the funeral home.

Retired coal miner, merchant

Clyde Rains, 82, of Caryville, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Rains was a retired coal miner. He had also been a store owner and had worked at Clinton Livestock for 20 years.
He was the son of Huett and Mary Rains, both now deceased. He was a member of Cherry Bottom Baptist Church in Caryville and a member of Caryville Masonic Lodge No. 665, F&AM.
Mr. Rains is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alline McGee Rains; a daughter, Mary Ruth Jennings and her husband, Everette, of Caryville; two sons, Jim Rains and Jackie Rains and his wife, Della, all of Caryville; a sister, Helen Cooper of Caryville; and two brothers, Ernest Rains and his wife, Sylia, and Eugene "Bood" Rains and his wife, Lillian, all of Columbus, Ohio.
He is also survived by three granddaughters, Missy Rains, Kelli Rains and Tammie Leach and her husband, Mike, all of Caryville; four great-granddaughters, Ashley Leach and Courtney Leach, both of Caryville, Mary Elizabeth Jennings of Andersonville and Amber Rains of London, Ky.; and by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Saturday night, Feb. 21, at Cherry Bottom Baptist Church in Caryville with the Rev. Junior Bailey and the Rev. Rick Howard officiating.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Feb. 22, at Ridgeview cemetery in Lake City. Jim Rains, Jackie Rains, Tim Jennings, Terry Jennings, Everette Jennings and Mike Leach were pallbearers, and Floyd Bailey, Howard Jennings, Boyd Lay, J.T. Leach, Everette Owens, Herb Owens, Virgil Tackett and Lonnie Welden were honorary pallbearers.

Julie Ann Foust Rickey, 32, died at 2:27 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Rickey was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Andersonville.
She was born in Decatur, Ga., on March 8, 1965. Her parents are Carl and Patricia Foust of Andersonville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rickey is survived by her husband, Darold Rickey; a daughter, Polly Ann Rickey of Andersonville; three sisters, Donna Heatherly and Carla Foust, both of Andersonville, and Cathy Miller of Greenville, S.C.; and a brother, Edward Foust of Andersonville.
She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stooksbury of Andersonville; a niece, Carol Jane Ridenour; two nephews, Patrick Foust and Russell John Stooksbury; cousins Scotty and Paul Foust, Ken Miller and Paul Disney; and by three aunts and three uncles.
The funeral was held Saturday night, Feb. 21, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Albert Tipton officiating.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Feb. 22, at Norris Memorial Gardens.

Fletcher Clark Steadman, 88, of Glendale Avenue, South Clinton, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Windwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.
Mr. Steadman retired as service manager for the former Morris Bolling Ford Co. in Clinton.
He was the son of Matilda Alice Cox and James Ross Steadman and the grandson of Alice Sercepta Clark and Alvah Delos Steadman and of Martha Foster and James Tolbert Cox. His great-grandparents were Oliver Perry Steadman, Esther Kerr Baldwin, James Clark, Margaret Stevens, James Harris Cox, Elizabeth Leach, Levi Foster and Rhoda Baker.
Mr. Steadman was a member of South Clinton Baptist Church. His favorite hobby was farming, the family said.
He is survived by a daughter, Lyndsey Ann Steadman Denton and her husband, Lynn Franklin Denton, of Clinton; two grandchildren, Franklin Clark Denton and Whitney Suzanne Denton Clement and her husband, James Michael Clement, all of Clinton; and one great-grandchild, Caleb Denton Clement of Clinton.
Mr. Steadman is also survived by a sister, Helen Steadman Loy of Clinton; five sisters-in-law, Clio Allyne Wyrick Griffey of Whittier, Calif., Rowena Davis Wyrick of Maryville, Irene Fowler Steadman and Irene Gault Steadman, both of Clinton, and Ruth Bishop Copeland of Harriman; and by several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Alma Gertrude Wyrick Steadman, died earlier. Three brothers, Clarence Roosevelt Steadman, Kenneth McKeller Steadman and Claude Steadman, a sister-in-law, Mamie Walker Wyrick, and six brothers-in-law, Charles Eugene Wyrick, Chester Douglas Wyrick, Ora Lindsay Wyrick, Clarence Bishop, Frank Copeland and Boyd Henry Griffey, also died earlier, as did his parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Burial will be at Zion cemetery in Claxton.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sara Lee Waters, 72, of Clinton, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Waters was a former substitute teacher for the Anderson County school system.
She was born in Johnsonville, Tenn., on July 1, 1925, the daughter of William and Mildred Daniel, both now deceased. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Clinton.
She was the widow of Henry Leon Waters.
Mrs. Waters is survived by a daughter, Sandra Warden and her husband, Bryan, of Tazewell, Va.; two sons, Michael Waters of Knoxville and Mitchell Waters and his wife, Kathy, of Oliver Springs; and two grandchildren, Christopher Waters of Clinton and Jessica Blalock of Oliver Springs.
She is also survived by six sisters, Raunelle Hughes, Maxine Finney, Dee Elledge and Joyce Hill, all of Nashville, Iva Connell of Memphis and Mary Ada May of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Daniel of Waverly, Kitty Watson of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Bettye Kellum of Monticello, Ark.; and a brother-in-law, B.J. Waters of Albuquerque, N.M.
A sister, Martha McKelvy, and two brothers, Homer Charles Daniel and William E. "Bud" Daniel, died earlier.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial followed at McCarty Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton.

Dorothy L. Brinkerhoff, 84, of Harriman, died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at Royal Health Care of Harriman.
Mrs. Brinkerhoff was a self-employed seamstress for many years while living in Highland Park, Mich., and Harriman. She lived in Harriman most of her life but had spent 30 years as a resident of Michigan.
She was born in Morgan County on Feb. 7, 1914, the daughter of Arthur and Elda Jackson Christmas.
Mrs. Brinkerhoff is survived by a sister-in-law, Anita Christmas of Archdale, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, March 2, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Mike Winters officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Harriman City cemetery.

John W. Creighton

John W. Creighton, 58, of Dalton City, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
Mr. Creighton was retired as a machinist with Lockheed Martin Energy Systems Inc.
He was born in Decatur, Ill., on Dec. 9, 1939, the son of John L. and Neta O. Creek Creighton. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He and his wife, the former Jean F. Nihiser, who survives him, were married
in Dalton City on June 11, 1961.
Mr. Creighton was a member of Dalton City Christian Church and a member of the board of Dalton City Village.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Brenda Purnell of Warrensburg, Ill., Faith McKinzey and her husband, Michael, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Angie G. Newsome and her husband, Keith, of Goldsboro, N.C.; and a son, John E. Creighton and his wife, Kara, of Tacoma, Wash.
Mr. Creighton is also survived by three sisters, Karen Creighton and Mary Diebold, both of Oak Ridge, and Betty Greutman and her husband, Milford, of Flatrock, Mich.; and by 14 grandchildren.
Another son, John W. Creighton Jr., died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the chapel of Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mount Zion, Ill.
Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, Ill.
