Sharon Kaye McGill, 56, of Kingston, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville.
Mrs. McGill was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Kingston and was a member of the choir.
She was the daughter of Frederick and Lillian Walton of Kingston. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter 405.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGill is survived by her husband, George T. McGill; two sons, Scott McGill and his wife, Julie, and Bryan McGill, all of Kingston; two brothers, Ronald Walton and Bruce Walton and his wife, Joanie, all of Oak Ridge; and two grandsons, Jared and Thomas McGill.
The funeral will be at 7 tonight, March 30, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Kingston, with the Rev. Richard Hettrick officiating. A service conducted by the Order of Eastern Star will follow.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends tonight in the church's fellowship building after the services.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to the Wellness Community 1844 Terrace Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916.

Richard Palmer

Richard Palmer, of 101 Clifton Circle, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Briarcliff Health Care Center.
Mr. Palmer and his wife, Evelyn, who survives him, moved to Oak Ridge in 1981.
He retired in 1977 from International Harvester. He had worked for the company since his teen-age years. His work took him from Chicago, Ill., to Louisville, Ky., to England, to San Diego, Calif., and back to Chicago until he retired.
Mr. Palmer enjoyed playing golf and bridge, playing the organ and traveling to other countries, his family said.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kim Palmer, and his wife, Carol Lee, of Hackettstown, N.J.; two granddaughters, Heather and Christine Palmer; and a sister, Jan Seegrave of Tryon, N.C.
The body was cremated. McCarty-Martin Oak Ridge Funeral handled arrangements.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
Lula Mae Johnson Baxter

Lula Mae Johnson Baxter, 75, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Baxter had been an Oak Ridge resident since 1945, moving here from Montgomery, Ala.
She was retired from the Maintenance Department at the Oak Ridge K-25 Site. She began her employment with Union Carbide Nuclear Division on April 15, 1974, and retired on Dec. 31, 1987, from Martin Marietta Energy Systems.
Mrs. Baxter was born in Lowndes County, Ala., on July 4, 1922, the daughter of Louise and Johnny Johnson.
She was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she had been active on the Usher Board, on the C.C. Fuller Mission Group and with the Guiding Light Circle and had served as treasurer with the Pastor's Aide Club.
Mrs. Baxter was also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Foster Mother Program.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Lee Jones of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a foster daughter, Roshanda Miles of Knoxville; a sister, Sarah Williams of Montgomery, Ala.; and two brothers, the Rev. Jesse Davis and the Rev. Robert Bryant, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mrs. Baxter is also survived by two grandsons, Jimmy Lee Jones of Oak Ridge and Marcus Jones of Benton Harbor; a foster grandson, Javonte Miles of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews, including those she considered special, Rebecca Jackson of Cincinnati, Johnnie Mae Tinsley of Auburn, Ala., and Willie Mae Moncrief of Montgomery.
Gina Cale, Marie Woolen, Ruby Briggs, Mary Martin and Loraine Rowland, all of Oak Ridge, were considered special friends.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. T.L. Mims officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Randle Ernest Brown, 79, of Lenoir City, died Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Dorothy Waldrop Brown; a daughter, Beverly Spencer and her husband, Kenneth, of Powell; two sons, David Brown and his wife, Peggy, of Lenoir City, and the Rev. Daniel Brown and his wife, Barbara, of Toms River, N.J.; four sisters, Letha Hitson of Townsend, Sally Morgan and Martha Morgan, both of Dandridge, and Vola Wilkerson of Lenoir City; a brother, Cecil Brown of Knoxville; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, April 3, in the chapel of Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with the Rev. Eddie Chasteen and the Rev. Daniel Brown officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Lake View cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Alma Mae Powers Behrman, 74, of Oak Ridge, died Friday morning, March 27, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Behrman was a member of First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge.
She was born in Campbell County, the daughter of James and Sarah King Powers, both now deceased. She was a graduate of Campbell County High School.
Mrs. Behrman was employed in Oak Ridge from 1943 to 1948, first in the Medical Department of the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant and later as a secretary at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Her hobbies and interests included gardening, boating, fishing and collecting dolls.
Mrs. Behrman is survived by her husband, Howard Behrman, who is retired from the Department of Energy; two sons, David Behrman of Oak Ridge and Donald Behrman and his wife, Sandy, of Lubbock, Texas; two step-grandsons, Scott and Lee Dunsmore; and several nieces and nephews, including Clyde Powers of Lenoir City, the Rev. Marvin Powers of Taylor, Mich., Betty Aiken and Dennis Powers, both of Jacksboro, and Dr. William Powers of Knoxville.
Three sisters and three brothers, Mary Powers, Ann Powers, Jane Petit, James A. Powers, William Powers and Hugh Powers, died earlier. Her son David Behrman had a twin brother, Daniel, who died shortly after birth.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Sunset cemetery in Clinton with the Rev. Kenneth Henderlight officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight, March 30, at McCarty-Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at Bearwaller Baptist Church in Caryville with the Rev. Jimmy Rutherford officiating.
Burial will follow at Harness cemetery in Caryville.

Billie Lorene Floyd Evans, 68, of Waynesboro, Va., died Tuesday morning, March 31, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Evans was the sister of Betty Floyd Johnson of 155 Wadsworth Circle.
In addition to her local sister, she is also survived by a son, Gregory Charles Evans of Virginia Beach, Va.; four other sisters, Bonnie Reed of Stuarts Draft, Va., Geraldine Bedell of Harrisonburg, Va., and Janet Weller and Kay Argenbright, both of Staunton, Va.; and a grandson.
The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon, April 3, in the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service in Stuarts Draft, Va., with Ed Kirkpatrick officiating, and burial to follow at Calvary United Methodist Church.

Oral Ruth White of LaFollette died Wednesday, April 1, 1998, at her home.
Miss White came to Oak Ridge in 1944 after growing up in Campbell County. She worked as a medical technologist for 43 years. She was employed for a short time at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant, then went to work at Oak Ridge Hospital, now Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, and retired in 1987.
She was the daughter of the Rev. Leonard and Mossie White, who are deceased.
Miss White was a member of Davis Chapel Community Baptist Church in LaFollette.
She is survived by a sister, Geneva Irwin, of LaFollette; and by a niece and nephew, Gail Roy and Bobby White, also of LaFollette.
Conrad Jones of Oak Ridge was considered a special friend.
Two brothers, Emerson White and Con White, three nephews, Jerry Irwin, Estel White and Earl White, and a grandnephew, Gary White, all died earlier.
The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon, April 3, in the chapel of Cross Funeral Home in LaFollette with the Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating.
Burial was to follow at Sunrise cemetery in LaFollette.
The family was to receive friends from noon to 2 this afternoon at the funeral home.

Carol Jean Roberts, 49, of Clinton, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at her home.
She was born in Anderson County on March 22, 1949.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of Glory Way Baptist Church of Clinton. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching auto racing, her family said.
She is survived by two sons, Tim Lynch and his wife, Angie, and Tony Lynch and his wife, Michelle, all of Clinton; two grandchildren, Morgan Faith Lynch and Dustin Ray Lynch, both of Clinton; her mother, Imogene Humphrey Hamilton of Clinton; two sisters, Rebecca Riggs of Kinston, N.C., and Pam Wilson of Knoxville; three brothers, Bernie Humphrey, Donnie Humphrey and his wife, Sandra, and Ricky Humphrey and his wife, Kim, all of Clinton; and by several nieces and nephews.
Cookie Turner of Clinton and Pattie Stooksbury of Maynardville were considered special friends.
Her father, Ray Humphrey, is deceased.
